Normally the service reflects the brand's luxury reputation: professional, accommodating, and relationship-focused. Unfortunately, our recent visit to the Bellevue RH Outlet fell far short. My wife and I inquired about a fireplace piece that has been on the floor for months, recognizable by its chip and mismatched top. The associate who helped us, likely a manager with dark medium-length hair and Caucasian, was dismissive and unprofessional. When we politely asked if there might be any additional consideration on price, she insisted it hadn't been there long and said pricing is based on "demand." When I noted that other managers in the past had worked with us on long-standing or damaged pieces, her exact response was, "That's the reason they're not here anymore." That comment was unnecessary and insulting. A simple "Sorry, that's not our policy anymore" would have sufficed. Instead, the conversation ended abruptly without even a courteous close, leaving us feeling unwelcome. The impression was clear: if you aren't buying immediately, your time isn't worth their attention. For a brand that positions itself as luxury, this behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on RH.

We've been customers for maybe 25 years. We've bought and serviced a gas fireplace and several grills over the years. We ordered a new grill - great experience. Then things went downhill. Rich's no longer does its own delivery. They depend on a vendor to do the delivery, followed by a Rich's person to come up and hook it up. We scheduled the delivery for Friday. The Wednesday BEFORE the delivery the Rich's person came to do the install. He said no problem, the delivery people would do the install. Seriously? A gas grill? Friday rolls around and the grill was delivered. The delivery people didn't know how to turn the grill on to verify it was working. It wouldn't turn on. They then closed the grill lid and turned on the gas and continued to try and turn the grill on. This is dangerous. I stopped that action immediately. It took Rich's a couple of weeks to get another service person over to check the grill and verify it was installed correctly to our gas line, and make sure it was working correctly. BTW - it took 2 emails and a call to the salesperson to get the service department to respond to do the scheduling. They don't answer the phone or return calls anymore. All done with email. Sales - 5 stars. Service scheduler - 1 star. PS Great grill.

When I arrived later that day, Ernesto greeted me at the store and spent the next 2+ hours patiently answering all of my questions, showing me various sofa options throughout the showroom and clearly explaining how the delivery process works. I wound up ordering the Briar sleeper sofa in royale peacock velvet and it delivered a few weeks later, a bit earlier than expected, which was awesome. The color is gorgeous, the texture is so luxurious, and it's durable enough to handle my kids and dog. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this couch and truly wouldn't change a thing. Also Juan with the delivery service went absolutely above and beyond getting this incredibly heavy piece of furniture moved into my apartment via stairs. No small feat, he was amazing and so friendly and positive. Soooo happy with my sofa (and matching ottoman), the Seattle showroom experience with Ernesto and the other lovely, friendly staff I encountered there, and the quality delivery experience. LOVE!

Before leaving to visit another store for options, he offered to email me a quote reflecting the current promo. I was impressed with the furniture quality, options, and genuine service provided by David. We ended up purchasing the Holt Grand Sectional and Briar Leather Chair and just received them. They're perfect for our house!

Since we have a small family room, the first question I asked was if a specific measurement range for sofas were available to make and/or try at the store. The second question I asked was regarding the fabric material and if it pils. My third question I asked was regarding the material of the cushion/if it was made of memory foam. As soon as I asked this third question, I was told that I asked too many questions and advised to go to La-Z-Boy or come in person to his store, not to mention that he quickly hung up on me. I did not realize that asking three questions, let alone shortly after opening hours, was considered too many questions. Instead of taking ownership of not knowing the answer to my third question, I was gaslit into thinking that I was in the wrong for asking that question and turned away as a potential customer. I wanted to be supportive of a local business but it seems like customer service is much better in larger chain retailers. The only positive was that I didn't waste my time driving there and experience the worst customer service in person.
