Joseph jewelry was one out of only three places in the area that I could find that offered cutting services. You can book appointments online with them within a day. At first I talked with Tony from the Seattle location and he helped inform me Bellevue is where Danny, the one in charge of the cutting usually works. I came in without an appointment and Christine offered to help me right away. The ambience in the store is very clean, comfortable, and has good lighting. Christine took a look at my stone in great detail, helped walk me through the process of what the cutting would look like. She also got me set up with an account that they will message me on with updates. I will say with the online booking and different actions allowed through their site/my account was so refreshing. A lot of jewelry places that I contacted or reviewed initially through my research were pretty dated. They would have you submit a filled out contact form, have to leave an email hoping for a response (and a few never did respond), or call them and hope they answer. This place is definitely the opposite. Having everything so accessible and allowing customers to self-serve via their portal and website is so nice and allowed me as the customer to feel like I can take some charge of the process and what I need. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place to visit for any jewelry needs! The customer service is very personable and great, they're one of the few places that I could find to cut my gemstone, and the online accessibility is so convenient. She kindly provided a new appraisal right away, and when the insurance company rejected it, she went the extra mile to get me a detailed estimate for a replacement--even though it was time-consuming and totally outside of her obligation. I appreciate that I didn't have to make a trip in to get an early idea of how much their options might cost for the design I had in mind. I determined online, and via text that Fabri was a standout option, with pricing in the realm of my budget; so I came into the showroom. During my visit, Doug and Jacob were exceptionally attentive without being pushy -- the perfect balance. The showroom itself is impressive, with countless options for stone sizes, band widths, and settings. What stood out most was how creative and thoughtful they were in helping me visualize the ring I wanted, when the exact ring design that wasn't something they had on display. They pulled different samples from around the store, paired various band widths with multiple stone sizes, and walked me through every possibility with patience and expertise. I also asked about purchasing a stackable wedding band, and in a moment of genuine integrity, Doug actually advised, "I wouldn't order that right now -- wait until you finalize an engagement ring, then choose what pairs best with it." They didn't pressure me into a decision. At the time or beginning of my story Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler who was an Authorized Dealer for ROLEX in the Pacific Northwest. After doing some research I started frequenting the store looking for a few Rolex watches. Yes , I was very specific in my choices but always given the " NO " you can't have one for over 2 years. I came in every 4 to 6 weeks just to check and " NO" was the mantra of the sales staff. I was always told we have other watches for sale. Like who cares what ya have if ya can't provide what I desire. Now one amazing summer day I saw the $6400 41mm Celebration dial by Rolex in the case. My excitement level increased and I ask if it's for sale? The mantra is now uttered "NO NO NO" ! However something new that day happened and was shared by sales representative, I was actually told if you spend a $1,000,000 in jewelry it should be no issue to get that watch..... Now I was stunned by this statement so much I said are you serious and the person said YES! Well, that seems excessive and ridiculous and no I didn't drop a million to acquire the timepiece. I'll never forgot the arrogance of staff member of Alvin Goldfarb Jewelry and defiantly will not purchase anything from them. OK, now this is the happy ending of the story. I did manage to acquire The Celebration dial by Rolex elsewhere so I have that going for me. And on January 1st 2025 the BIG HAND OF THE CROWN aka ROLEX laid the smack down on ALVIN GOLDFARB & pulled authorized dealership away from store. No longer can they sell ROLEX.... KARMA saw the bad business practices by using Rolex watches to lure you into buying unwanted jewelry or non Rolex branded watches you don't want in order to maybe purchase a Rolex.
