Don't waste your time. I made a truck reservation weeks in advance, showed up at 7am as scheduled, only to be told, "I can't find the keys, they might be in a drawer. There's nothing I can do." No attempt to help, no offer to check other trucks, no suggestion for alternate locations. Just a shrug. The people in line behind me had the exact same reservation, and she gave them the truck. No explanation. Just blatant disregard. From the moment she pulled up my reservation, her tone was hostile, like she was ready for an argument. I would have given five stars or even more if that was an option; however, in customer service they have a representative by the name of Wi. Out of all of the staff members in Customer Service, I try to avoid her from helping me. I dread having to use her because there's no one else available. I would usually have someone go before me to avoid her. She's not a good listener. You have to repeat things to her multiple times because it's like she doesn't get it but she talks to you are intelligent. She's very unprofessional and her demeanor is very childish; she has a caddy, arrogant demeanor about herself. I was trying to get a minor issue resolved, and she made it into a bigger issue because she wasn't listening; she kept relaying the wrong information of what I needed out, which was very simple; and, because of her attitude. Beyond pissed me off when she was whispering to other staff members to get them involved in her unprofessional drama, and it was obvious that she was throwing me under the bus which again was beyond childish & unprofessional! Thank goodness there was a very kind and helpful floor Supervisor there to intervene since the Store Manager wasn't readily available. They did a phenomenal job helping me and smoothing things over. But again, Wi made it a very bad situation for me, and it did not have to be. So because of her bad customer service; childish attitude and talking about me to other employees, I did call customer service to file a formal complaint versus contacting Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. I placed an order for over $3,000 dollars worth of bathroom items, (vanity, tub, tub surround walls. I was told the order would arrive by 15 march2023. I can understand a few days late, but after talking with customer service on the app on the 20th, no one knew when my order would arrive. I received a $150 credit towards my order, that was a thank you moment. The next day, When I finally picked up my order on the 24th, I got it home only to find out it was the wrong tub they sent me with. I double check my order, yes I ordered the correct one. They send the wrong one. I wanted to send it back but the manager told me I would have to pay to rent another truck to take it back to the store. One star is way too generous for the horrendous curbside pickup experience I had at the Home Depot in Kent, WA. I am beyond frustrated and angry with the sheer incompetence and lack of empathy displayed by the staff. First of all, the two associates who were supposed to bring out my order didn't even bother to bring everything I ordered. They were missing 300lb of gravel! When I brought the missing items to their attention by showing the receipt on my phone, their response was, "You're going to have to come inside, I can't read that out here." Unbelievably, they literally started running back into the store. When I finally caught up with them, they were over at a computer terminal laughing at something. I'm glad the situation was amusing to them. They acknowledged the missing gravel and told us, "We'll bring it out here." The nerve! My wife and I were expected to carry out the 300lb of gravel they neglected to include in our order. When they came back, they brought bags of SAND instead of gravel! My wife had to clarify that we ordered gravel, not sand. A colleague eventually intervened, and one of the original associates admitted she couldn't find the gravel and was going to substitute it with sand without telling us. Were they planning to "forget" the gravel and hope we wouldn't notice until we got home? After another agonizing 10 minutes, they finally brought out the gravel. They didn't even have the decency to close our car door and just stormed away. To top it off, they brought a security guard who waited with them, which was incredibly insulting. I called the store to speak with the manager on duty, but he couldn't have sounded more disinterested. Not once did he apologize or show any intention of addressing the situation. The entire experience was infuriating and careless. Not a single person ever apologized for this disaster of a curbside pickup experience. I actually just want to applaud the employees at home depot. I was working a full day Tuesday and we had to get the job done so I worked clean through Tuesday night and Wednesday morning without sleep and when I pulled into Home Depot into the pros parking lot I just close my eyes for a second next thing I knew I was getting woken up by somebody tapping on my window. I just want to thank the employees that didn't think the best action was to run in and call the police. That's all I wanted to deal with waking up is the police. Came here for curbside pickup and it was a literal nightmare. When you spend your hard earned money on something and get it curb side, it should be like new. Spent over $300 on a BBQ and they brought out one that was fully assembled, full of rust, dented, with rust and dirt on the inside. It took over an hour for the issue to be fixed and the only way to fix it was to come inside. Huge line to get inside that wraps around itself so social distancing is not happening if you want to get into the store. When I asked customer service about it and said that I was expensive why are we receiving a damaged display instead of a new one in a box they said they do it for convenience. It's not convenient if you drive anything other than a pickup truck or rent a truck. When I asked if it's typical for customers to receive items like this I was told "unfortunately yes" and she said that they didn't do their due diligence. Not the customer service's fault but management's fault. It shouldn't have been allowed to be brought out, if staff sees this and thinks it's okay than it is a reflection on management. If you do curbside pickup and there is an issue that can only be resolved by coming in the store, that puts your employees at unnecessary risk. First and only time shopping there. read more

Every time I come to this HD, I encounter rude and completely unhelpful staff. Every single time. I live 1/4 of a mile away and would rather drive to Tacoma than come into this Home Depot location. Tonight's experience was like the 8-10 others I have had. I came in, asked for assistance from someone in an aisle and he looked at me blankly then agreed to call someone. 10 minutes later, I was still standing there waiting for someone to show up. I went to the front desk and ask for assistance again. The ladies at the counter are always helpful and say they will send someone back... unfortunately another 5-7 minutes pass with no one in sight. Then I go to two employees that are chatting and ask if I can get help (one of these employees was the original man I asked). The original requested says something that I could not completely hear and they both laugh. When I state my request again (asking for help choosing the correct size wood as I could not find the right size in the store)- the older man says "I have 40 pallets I have to load on a guys truck, what do you expect me to do?" and he turns around and walks away... I expected some sort of customer service, not a rude arrogant jerk who should not be working in a customer oriented environment. Shame on you Home Depot. If the " free " install and furniture moving is swaying your vote to buy carpet from here...don't let it. First they come measure and make notes about what items they won't move or will charge you for. They never say anything about these items until after you have paid and scheduled. Then comes a call to " review your contract" you either agree to move these items yourself or pay extra. Fast forward to your install 2 months later. There's a hole in the carpeting, your closet door is broken, one closet can't open because there's a broken baseboard behind it , and the contractor left debris all over your house and outside . This homedepot has the most disgusting bathrooms, terrible inventory, and worst building material quality control I have seen. After purchasing over $2500 of material for a job I have coming up, I needed help loading all the heavy materials into my truck. After asking multiple people and waiting almost an hour finally had one nice employee help me load it into the truck. Buyer beware! Before you purchase carpet and installation from Home Depot read this! I Purchased carpet from Home Depot which included a lifetime warranty on installation. After a few years, the carpet began to shows signs of rippling. I contacted Home Depot and they told me no problem, they will restretch the carpet for no cost because of there is a lifetime warranty on installation. After six months and dozens of phone calls to their flooring department and project coordinator they told me they could not honor the warranty because I did not have proof that the carpet had been professionally cleaned every 12 months. This was after they sent out a professional carpet installer to inspect my carpet. He immediately determined the issue with the carpet was due to improper installation and stated it was the worst he had seen. The carpet had issues even in rooms that were rarely entered. Throughout the six months which included dozens of phone calls and promises of PO's being sent to their Home Solutions department for resolution, they failed to notify me about the carpet cleaning documentation. First I heard of this is when they called two weeks ago to tell me how much it was going to cost to restretch my carpet because I didn't have receipts for carpet cleaning. They claimed they had told me this before which was not true. All along the way they had led me to believe that my carpet was going to get repaired at their expense. Lesson learned here, don't trust Home Depot if you expect good customer service and resolution of an issue. Their warranties do not state that you have to get your carpet cleaned yearly for it to be valid. They include vague language which they use to invalidate their warranties. read more

Finds 8 contractors all said the same things the roof put on not in accordance house code, sealing was poor and the roof CANNOT be REPAIR. I requested a price match for store credit for the difference since I haven't even received the item yet. The rep contacted a supervisor and was told no. Nothing can be done except cancel the order and re-order with the new price. This is ridiculous. Why can't at least a store credit be given for the difference of the price now especially since I have not even received the item?!? This is one way to quickly lose customers, such as myself. My order was for more than $13k and I won't be using Home Depot again for anything. This Home Depot is one of the worst that I have been to. I ordered online and apparently the lumber department decided to offload all their scraps. I have bent boards, boards with edges missing, gouged boards and split boards. I think I have 1 four foot section of one board but I need 8' pieces. So my dilemma is whether to go through the pain and aggravation of taking them back. It is only $100 worth of wood. Is it really worth my time, frustration, and the interminable wait to get in? Came in today for a couple outlets and had my very bored 10 year old grandson with me. As I.was looking in the power outlet aisle, an associate came up and offered her assistance. She WAS SUPER helpful! As an afterthought, I asked if they had any kind of kits for kids to build, like wood working. I know they have cool workshops for kids the first Sat of each month. She again was amazingly helpful. She went out of her way to find out if we had missed the workshop (we did). This is where my drive to write this comes from... After that, she tracked down another associate (also female * yay woman power!!) Who sprang in to action to help. Together they rummages the kid kit area for me, which was extraordinary considering the pushing the ladder all.over, climbing up, searching through boxes etc. They found a some plane but one that was age appropriate and did its job which was to get him off the electronics for a bit. I truly regret not getting their names, but I sincerely hope a manager sees this and tracks the ladies down. I was in there about 2:30-3ish today. I have been a customer of Home Depot for over 25 years. I know where everything is located in their stores. One day an employee asked me if I needed any help finding something. I told him, "No. I could stock this store." He asked me if I wanted a job. I have enjoyed shopping there and have appreciated the discount they have been giving U.S. Veterans for decades. The other day I was shopping and had a cart full of supplies. When the clerk was ringing up my purchases at the register I asked her for my Veteran's discount and showed her my Veteran ID card which has "U.S. Veteran" on it. This is the way they have accepted my Veteran status and thus given me my 10% Veteran's discount previously. She looked completely baffled and told me that she had to get her manager. This person came over and asked me if I had the Home Depot app. She told me it is the only way to get the discount. I showed her my cell phone. It is a flip phone. She said the only way to get the Veteran discount is through the app, turned, and walked away. The clerk who rang up my supplies asked if I still wanted the items. The bill was $185. I said, "No, thank you" and walked out the door. Then I went to Lowe's and bought the same supplies and easily received my Vetran's discount without being required to use an app. It was easy. If this outcome is Home Depot's new policy and not simply ineptness and poorly trained employees they have lost a long time customer. I only my cell phone to make calls and text. I don't need a computer to carry around and don't want to spend the money on a more expensive phone. I'm an 80 year old Veteran D.I.Y. still going strong. In order to get "U.S. Veteran" on an I.D. card or driver's license it is required to bring a copy of your DD-250 (discharge paperwork) to the DMV, they verify it, and then add it to the card. While a customer may choose to use the app to receive the Veteran discount employees should also be able to look at a Veteran's state issued I.D. or driver's license notating them as a U.S. Veteran. Having customers do the work that employees used to do saves companies money at the expense of alienating customers. I would like to know if this is indeed Home Depot's new Veteran's Discount Policy. And, if so, is there a work around for those of us who do not have tech advanced app-able cell phones? If not, Home Depot is DISCRIMINATING against older, senior, poorer Veterans. I am getting really frustrated with this Home Depot location. I shop here a few times a month and have found that most of the workers wandering the aisles have no idea where things are located or sometimes even what a supply I am looking for is. I recently bought drywall and the checkout clerk did not know what Sheetrock was and we had to help her charge it out. We asked for help loading the materials and waited over 45 minutes for them to come out to us, even though there was a person at our checkout line who was told to go and get the supplies. We have also had less than exceptional experiences at the rental office (aside from Vern who has been helpful and great). We started dreading having to rent tools when we saw Adam was working.
