Ordered a single piece of gear that was on backorder. 5 months and some change later I called inquiring about the order because I hadn't received it yet and had received no correspondence. Customer service was not pleasant but was told it would be shipping in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later and no correspondence, I called. Customer service was worse and was told it would be an additional 2 weeks out. I cancelled the order. Avoid this company. read more

Every item I have from them is top notch. They're a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Just make sure you plan ahead and give some lead time for the items you need. The shop is a little small and a little difficult to get to but that's all good. Maybe put up a few more direction finders. Good stuff guys! read more

Completely useless when it comes to buying tactical equipment there is always low stock and availability is always months out. Me personally I've been trying to get a malice pack from this company. Typically it's we have the bags and frame but we don't have the straps or waist belt. Like a lot of good that does anyone to have a bag without all of the components. Now me personally I'd think if you sold out of these pieces frequently you'd try to keep more on hand but with this company that's not the case. read more

If you are in the market very incredibly high quality tactical gear from a company that is committed to getting you the best-possible product, then you should definitely consider Tactical Tailor. Though I have not personally been IN the Tactical Tailor retail store, I have purchased quite a few of their goods online through their website (http://www.tacticaltailor.com/index.aspx) and through other providers such as SKD Tactical. As such I cannot comment on the inventory in store, but I can say that the gear I have purchased so far has been great. To date I have purchased a thigh holster, dump bag, AK/AR Mag pouch, pistol mag pouch, MOLLE thigh panel, tactical vest, hydration system, and finally one of their flagship items, an upgraded version of the ALICE pack known as the MALICE (version 3 kit). All of those items have lived up to my expectations and I highly recommend each one of them. The MALICE is incredible. The improved belt, straps, and frame are awesome. If you were in the market for an improved ALICE, but did not want to purchase the entire system, the straps, belt, and frame would be a good way to go, though I really like the actual bag itself. It's huge, has more pocket space, is very water repellent, and the 1000D Nylon material feels pretty much indestructible. The only con I would like to mention on the MALICE is that it does not come with the internal radio pouch like the original ALICE. I called and talked to them about it and they said that is a modification they can add, but they do not offer it standard at this time (maybe they will in the future?). Not a deal breaker for me, but if it's a must-have and you're considering the MALICE you might talk to them beforehand and ask about adding the radio pouch. Who knows, maybe they'll throw one in for free? One of the items I purchased, the dump bag, was in their "fight light" category of gear, and it lives up to the description. It is very light, and folds up into a very small space when not being used so as to stay out of the way. Check all that out. Customer service on the phone has been great with Tactical Tailor. To ask questions and get information on specific items I have actually talked the customer service folks over there about four times now, and they have always been very helpful and pleasant. It has also been nice to get the same person over and over for the most part, giving it a lot more personal feel instead of feeling like I'm dealing with some giant call-center in who-knows-where-istan. read more

Used to love their gear but now they offer lower quality on all products they over charge. When it comes to having your order shipped in time don't count on them they seem to send stuff out when they feel like it. Most items on the site are listed as in stock when they are On back order. Their prices on shipping are nearly double what they should be. This is not how a company should operate. read more

I am an internet customer and had phone and email interactions with the staff at TT. Excellent service. My pack had to be sent from east NC to them in WA. Custom work was done quickly and is very good. They kept me updated where they were in the process and sent the pack back with no troubles. read more

If I could give half stars I would. I expected a lot more from this place. I've heard such great things. I was a little let down when I saw the lack of inventory. Not to say it wasn't good however. The "real bread and butter" lies in their ability to make custom bags, cases, holsters, covers etc on site. read more

Very disappointed with their products. I have purchased two back packs from them and each of them began to fall apart after two years of normal day to day use. Broken zippers, seams blowing out, etc. When I spoke to customer service they told me these problems would most likely not be covered by their 'lifetime' warranty. I will have to re-think my philosophy of being happy to spend a little more money for products made in America. read more

While deployed to Afghanistan, my fiance asked me to send him a few things. When one of those things was sold out on Amazon, I had to go look elsewhere, but I really didn't know exactly what I was looking for. The folks at Tactical Tailor were very helpful, and even though they didn't have exactly what he wanted, they were able to do a quick and inexpensive custom modification to one of their existing products. The staff was very helpful, I paid the same amount as I would have for ordering on Amazon, and I'm confident that I got a better product. It's also nice to know I'm supporting a local company with products that are made in the USA with quality materials and workmanship. read more

The gear quality is acceptable. Nothing to rave about. But don't bother ordering directly from them for anything. They take orders and payment when they have no stock. Then they make you wait months for delivery. There is really no excuse for that. It is shady and super annoying. If you want their stuff buy it from a retailer that has it in stock, or be prepared to wait months and months. read more
