I've ordered custom stuff from other places before and they often have imperfections or the staff didn't really care if your design was actually going to come out looking good with the background, size, etc, so I appreciate HatStop taking their time and working with me. Great selection and very helpful. I bought 2 hats and they were kind of expensive but were nice hats. Even paid for them to shape my bill.

This was at the southcenter mall location. I found a cool hat and purchased it for about $50. I later pulled the hat out of the box and noticed a mark on it. I took it back and asked if I could exchange it and the guy said sure. Turns out that was the only size that had left. He didn't offer a refund and suggested I buy a inner band and a larger size to make it fit. Not good customer service if you asked me. I took the defective hat and left. read more

zero stars. bought a mariners hat 4 days ago and never wore it. decided I didn't want a white hat because it would stain easily. came in with a receipt today for an exchange not a return and they refused to exchange. I got my red Seahawks snap backs here reasonably priced, they have some things here you can't find at a regular hat shop. They also do custom work as well. Purchased something for my husband unfortunately it wasn't his size went back and the men n lady said they couldn't exchange it or refund my money back it was over 100$ they have the worst customer service for returns or exchange definitely don't recommend this place at all we were good customers to them for a couple years until they decided to do this so they lost us and couple others. read more

I am new to Washington and a big hat guy. I have been looking for a hat stop lol hence the name, been to quite a few places in king county and pierce county and no luck UNTIL I accidentally ran into the Hat Stop in federal way! Worst customer service ever for returns and exchanges! Purchased hundreds of dollars on about 7 hats for Christmas presents from this store this holiday season. The one I bought for my kid didn't fit right, I took the sku tag off the gift ( as most people do) and misplaced this one receipt. All I was asking was for an exchange and they treated me like I was some low life crook trying to get one over on them. Little do they know I own multiple businesses and have the ability to spend 10x what I spent this year, but they will never know because I will never buy from them again..nor will anyone I know after telling them about their service. read more

I found a hat I've been wanting for a while now. They said it's only available in Southcenter. I asked the manager Jorge if they can ship it over to the Federal Way store. He told me no! I'd have to drive to Southcenter to get it. No apology. Jorge asked me if i knew that all the hats are fake. No, I had no idea. Will never spend a dollar here. I will never in my life by hats nor let my husband ever by hats from this shop again. My 18 year old daughter bought her dad a hat to make him smile cause he was in the ICU she showed him it and ask mom said blue I thought you would like black and red. He said yes black and red. So she put it back in the bag they provided and went to return it next day. They smell the hat said sorry this smells like cigarettes well known of us smoke it stayed in her car in bag they provided not even 24 hours later. The hat doesn't smell like a cigarette they are a joke. . I call and they tell me they'd take it back if it had a small stain. The worst customer service. Not a care in the world. I smelt the hat it didn't smell like a cigarette . How would it when it never ever left the bag they provide. They just didn't want to return it seen she was young. I really love the guys that run the shop! They will drop everything to find what you are looking for. They also will take their time to double check everything is correct from hat size to custom broidery if you are requesting one. Not many customer service reps also KEEP reminding you about policies. They literally make sure that you are set! They adjust to you whenever possible and they'll give it to you STRAIGHT, this world don't deserve those guys especially on the holidays. I always get the "Im here for you, not for the money" vibe from them all the time. I have been going there for 5+ years and they never failed me, they dont rush me as a female shopper either in a mans world! This has been my go-to place to get gifts for my brothers, cousins and friends. Large variety of hats and with just an extra $10 a customized broider. They also off more than just hats, but have unique puff jackets, wallets, seasonal hats, ect. If you're pacific islander they got something for you as well!! read more
