Me and my girlfriend sat down in the morning to order food, we weren't asked if we wanted drinks. Waited around 10 minutes, then had to get up and ask another server who wasn't currently serving a table for drinks which she then asked another server to get us drinks instead of doing it herself. Waited another few minutes for those. Then by the time we got our drinks we were ready to order our food but the server told us she'd be back in a few minutes...which she wasn't....a COMPLETE disaster. Then when we had enough and decided to get up and leave they had the NERVE to say "Thank You!"...as if they did anything. The evening of Christmas, my family and I decided to dine in at this establishment. Due to a holiday, the wait to be seated was 1hr. Prior to being seated we have already looked over the menu and made our selection. After we were seated we immediately tell our server our meal selection and drinks (water and coffee...nothing special). 45 minutes gone by, no drinks or the server to come by inform us the status of our meal. We waited a total of 1hr 20 minutes before the first three dishes were served. Another 25 minutes gone by the server brought out the next two orders, but forgot one of our order (our server had to put it in again due to another server taken it and gave to their table). We had to take the last order to go. In the mean time, we waved over the manager and explained our dilemma, she stated that she will "check on it" this was her mantra all evening and no results. We noticed the manager disappeared every other hour (to do what, nobody knows). The disorganization in this establishment was astounding, from the line cook to the servers and its manager (whose first line of duty is to ensure foods are out in a timely manner...she failed at that all night). I noticed the whole night other patrons (small or big group) waited to be seated, waited hours to give their orders to their servers and waited to GET their orders (correctly or not at all). The lack of organization from manager, cooks, and servers made the experience so sour that we will not make another visit to this establishment. read more

I went into this IHOP at 7:40 and remember it opens at 6am. So we walk in the and the waitresses tells us that they are not open and they have stuff to do and they will open in 5 minutes. We sit down and other people are waiting with us as well. After 20 minutes the waitresses just walks out the building. We got up and left after realizing she walked outside just to vape. The definition of a restaurant is "a place where people pay to sit and eat meals that are cooked and served on the premises." I really liked this place. We came in for a breakfast, of course. Our server Marisa was very friendly and suggestive, she modified for us a couple of things on the menu. She was very attentive and nice, I am very happy. Overall experience was great, food was delicious as always. I suggest you to try waffles. And their coffee is tasty! read more

We arrive at the restaurant, after a hike at 6:30 PM ready for dinner. The lights were on, but the front door was locked. A employee came up to the front door and told us that the "restaurant was close until approximately 6:50 PM because the employees need to take their breaks and they need to get everyone out and closed the restaurant, for their breaks". I understand employees needing breaks and I support that! Why would you closed the restaurant in the middle of dinner time? Does management knows how to run and staff a iconic restaurant in the USA? This branch seems to have a lot of managerial issues.. Went here twice during our trip bc it is close and the motel wasn't serving hot breakfast. For lunch I had an ihop burger without bacon but they gave me the one with bacon and no sauce. Left onion rings and BBQ sauce off the western burger which the manager noticed and rectified. I asked for ihop sauce which is mustard, mayo and ketchup, and the cook said they didn't have any...thinking they could mix it up? The fries were good. The server was new and the cook seemed to be new too from the conversation the manager was having. The manager seemed like she was doing her best but also had to micromanage every single thing for everyone. The next day, Mother's Day, i ordered food for pick up. Their doors were locked. The guy said they were out of a lot of stuff so they weren't doing dine in. I ordered gluten friendly waffles but they gave me pancakes. No butter, no utensils or napkins. We ended up getting half of our meal in 1hour a half, so we ordered from somewhere else and left, it was so bad we ended up not paying. Not a residency of Yucca Valley; however, on occasion we would always stop in because of the variety of menu selection. Anytime of the day I can always eat breakfast foods & this place has that availability. On May 15, we had appointment @ 29 palms & was early. Stop again, great changes to menu on breakfast; which was a bowl of eggs, hash brown, bacon, onions & a side of salsa. It was serve just right and was delicious & I forgot the most important part....the avocado on top! Then our waiter Marissa was just fabulous, nice dilemma and very professional in every way. Not sure if it was just me.. but this place needs a good cleaning and disinfecting. As soon as we walked in it was muggy and stunk like raw egg. Ok.. maybe an AC Problem. The tables looked clean but stunk. The floor is filthy and sticky, grime on side of tables and bathroom stunk and was filthy with toilet seat covers out of trash cans on floor. DO NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT. Cooks don't wear masks while preparing food. My group of 15 came to grab a quick bite and get on the road. The cooks and other waitresses complain loud enough for all of us to hear saying "I have to feed all these f***ing children". On top of that they have the worst food presentation I've ever seen. I came home to visit family and the three of us were left disappointed. My grandmas pancakes were crispy around the outside. And she had to ask 3x for syrup. My mom didn't get the side she asked for. And when we paid the bill she shorted us $1 in change The other servers aprons were filthy, very unsanitary. Stopped in for breakfast with my daughter and had a great experience. We were seated right away and since we knew we wanted pancakes (surprise) our order was in after about 2 min. My wife was wanting a late breakfast after doing a little shopping and suggested IHOP's $4.99 breakfast special. OK, that won't break the bank and we don't eat all that much, anyway. We arrived a few minutes before noon and it took awhile to get anyone's attention. Then we were told it would be at least a 20-minute wait, in spite of the fact that I could see empty booths. We were debating whether to stay or just walk out and go to Denny's or go home and cook something ourselves. Finally we were ushered to a booth. Eventually we got our grub, about 40 minutes after we walked in the door. It was good, about the right portions (I could never eat one of their omelets!) and the price was right. The absolute worse Ihop we have ever stopped at. Besides being a busy Sunday we are a little mad. The waitress was slooooow and spending more time in the bathroom then waiting tables. After 30 minutes wait after ordering the meal finally arrived. We were starved! We wolfed down our eggs and hash browns. They were ok. The pancakes arrived cold and the butter wouldn't melt.
