The staff greeted us and was very attentive to the needs of the diners. The food was priced well and probably could have just had the biscuit by itself!

Passing through Joshua Tree on the way home from Parker, and found this spot. Food and service were amazing. Lisa was a great host and very welcoming. We will definitely come back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Classic diner vibes, homey hosts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anthony Bourdain was here! Ordered the breakfast burrito classic (no added meat) with country potatoes and avocado in side + salsa. It was a pretty decent breakfast burrito. Tastes a little sweet, good amount of eggs and the potatoes arent burnt which i always worry about. I like the onion taste as well. The avocado and salsa on side is good add on to add flavor. Overall a classic/solid breakfast and lunch stop in Yucca Valley.

We came to Joshua Tree for the Saturday market--they have excellent vegetables and other items. After walking around for a bit, we decided to give JT Country Kitchen a try. There was a small line when we arrived, so I put our name in, and the wait was about 25 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ended up sitting outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A server came over to take our drink order, but we weren't quite ready to order food yet. When he came back, we still had a few questions about the menu. Another staff member stopped by, answered everything for us, and took our order. The service was great--everyone seemed to work together rather than sticking to specific tables. For food, my wife had the special, a corned beef sandwich. My mom ordered a hamburger with chips, and I went with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was very good, and you could tell it was made fresh. They also make their juices in-house, which was a nice touch. Overall, a really good experience with great food and friendly, team-oriented service.

Came by after doing a small hike and left in a food coma .. For a first impression I say that's the best way to leave a restaurant ! Portions were a great match for the price . Wait time is a bit long but if you have the patience and not in a rush then it shouldn't bother you especially if you go during a busy time . (Went around 10am) Love the homey diner feel this place gives , will definitely come back again !

Perfect place to grab a classic breakfast in Joshua tree! Excellent service, and surprisingly good breakfast burrito an hashbrowns! Expect a wait, but Joshua tree coffee is right next door, so you can grab a drink and walk around while waiting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have parking out back and a great outdoor seating area with a full bar[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The reason why this place nearly lost 5 stars is because the waitress did not mention anything about there being an up charge for having sausage in the gravy of the chicken fried steak. It was brought up as an option m, but forgot to tell me about the price. Other than that, the food was great. The orange juice was fresh. The pancake my wife ordered was massive and thank God she just ordered 1 because 2 pancakes would've been too much. I would come back here but now I'll know to ask the right questions.

Came across this place without previously looking it up and it was very good diner food. Everything tastes fresh and the staff were really nice and helpful. You can tell everyone works together like a great team and they made sure to check in at the table frequent enough. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ofc it's going to be hot if you are sitting outside because you are in the desert but the food and ice water was great combo for being in this area[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Extra sides of their (not hot enough) hot salsa are a must.

This place never disappoints. We had another excellent breakfast here yesterday and we plan to return again this morning. The service is outstanding and [[HIGHLIGHT]]it's such a cute spot to dine inside or outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't go wrong there.

As many places in Joshua Tree, this place took an hour to wait for but I absolutely enjoyed the food. The tomato soup was bomb, hamburger was juicy, and the potatoes were amaaazayn. The waiter we had was so kind and even gave us some of his suggestions which, he was absolutely right about. We sat outside and it was pretty cute but also pretty cold. They have heaters but it wasn't heating up much :')

Solid desert diner vibes with good biscuits and gravy and quick friendly service. There's a popular outdoor seating area and good stick-to-your-ribs breakfast options. My partner loves Bourdain and was delighted to see his photo on the wall with the owner, showing he'd been here. Partner got the cinnamon roll French toast and really liked it, but wasn't a fan of the cinnamony syrup running into his eggs. One of the better breakfasts we had in the area and it opens up earlier than most places if you want to get an early start at the park.

    Calena A.

Brunch in Joshua tree perfectly lands here at Country Kitchen, at the intersection of hearty breakfast foods and cowboy comforts. It was easy to find street parking in the area, put our names on the waitlist, and walk around the area. For a group of 4, we waited just under an hour. Well worth the wait! The menu diversifies the usual palette of meat, eggs, and biscuits, but all flavors are good. The staff is friendly and tries to be attentive despite how busy and packed the crowd is. We had an issue with a long hair on a plate and they swiftly corrected the issue with a new plate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment is comfortably shaded and you don't feel the outside heat too badly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It was a little hard to find the restaurant, especially since the sign is not right over the entrance, but just next to it where the small market is. Look for the Winchester Center sign next to the market. Since we arrived before it opened on a Sunday, we browsed in the market until it was tine to eat. We had a reservation for 6 of us, so they seated us at the one round table near the front. There is another longer table next to it on the left side where there's a colorful mural. The rest of the tables are booths. The restaurant is spacious and roomy and very clean. You can order items from the menu or build your own hot pot which is AYCE. Everyone in our party chose the hot pot. We were each brought a small blue pot that contained the sterno to heat up the soup and the broth of our choice inside. We also placed our meat order with our server. We went to the back-left corner to grab our veggies, and some other things to add to our hot pot. Our server came by often to take more meat orders, clear empty plates, and check if we needed more broth or if our sterno needed more fuel. Our server was delightfully cheerful and friendly. She was helpful and answered all of our questions, especially when we had to choose our broths. (Forgive me for forgetting your name!) I highly recommend calling ahead to make a reservation if you have a larger party. Accessibility notes: most of the tables are padded booths. If you can transfer and slide, you should be okay. Otherwise, see if you can sit at a table that has chairs on the left side. The restaurant is spacious enough to park your mobility aid (or stroller for babies) near you. The restrooms are located in the back-left corner, 2 single stall restrooms, one for men and one for women. There is enough room for someone to enter with their mobility aid and a helper companion. You can enter the restaurant without climbing a step, but I don't recall where the handicap accessible parking was since we used a regular parking space and I climbed up the curb. No one from the family is local, but my brother-in-law chose this restaurant because it's somewhere where we can meet in the middle. We all loved it, and are adding it to our rotation when we need to come together for a celebration.

Absolute Gem in San Bernardino!…read more From the moment you walk into this clean, quiet, and relaxing spot right across from CSUSB, you feel right at home. The food is on another level. We ordered: * Mongolian Beef: This was easily some of the best I've ever had. Their spring rolls with rice vermicelli and peanut hoisin sauce are fresh, light, and packed with flavor. What truly made the night, though, was the phenomenal owner working behind the counter. She was welcoming and positive and very helpful. The service here is immaculate--the staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the owner clearly takes immense pride in the business. The dining atmosphere was honestly amazing. Decoration is very fancy in a modern vibe and captures a comforting Asian restaurant very well. My issue with the restaurant is their food. I have tried all kinds of Pad Thai. But never once...did I expect a restaurant to make the most bland Pad Thai I have ever tasted. I didn't even think it was possible. The pad thai tasted more soft than chewy, it tasted as if I was eating soba noodles because there is no umami flavor, let alone the sweet and savory taste to the noodles. Not even the chili paste can add even a hint of flavor. The tofu is too soft for my tastes, and lacking in flavor. Same thoughts about the bulgogi, which was also lacking flavor. For quite a large price, I feel very disappointed. However, there was one thing I did enjoy, was the calamari and sauce. Calamari was the perfect mix of chewy and crispy. I savored every bite of that texture. Sauce was tangy and sweet, the kind of flavor I expected in the Pad Thai. I can confirm that the calamari, the atmosphere, and the customer service are recieving the stars. Thank you Noodle Bar for the experiance.

Secondly they have a pretty extensive menu - a lil something for everyone. Of the starters, I did really like the seaweed salad ($10.95). The version here is topped with imitation crab, radish, and daikon. It was a nice juxtaposition of textures and flavors. My mom loved the Avocado Bomb ($15.95) which is just deep fried avocado stuffed with imitation crab, spicy tuna, and cream cheese. It was just a delicious mashup of things we generally like. They have a wide selection of rolls you can choose from: fresh, baked + tempura. Honestly, everything we ordered tasted great. There are so many combinations to choose from, you're bound to find something you'd like. I found the nigiri to be pretty tasty as well. It wasn't overtly fresh, but good enough given the desert situation. Service was top notch. Highly recommend eating at Otori if you're tired of braised short ribs, salmon, and all the steak in the great Coachella Valley.

No, I could place a second order to get the fried rice. Ok, whatever, I'll take the steamed rice. The Orange Chicken was like rubber. I tried to bite a piece in half and it wouldn't pull apart, so the whole piece went in my mouth and I had to use my fingers to pull it apart which was embarrassing on a first date! It didn't taste good either. I looked for a knife in the plastic silverware, but there was none. I then went for a bite of the rice and it was so stuck together that I really had to jam my fork into it. It had no flavor at all and I was not offered any kind of sauce for it. I got some salt, but it didn't help. It had obviously been in a cup and turned over on a plate (there was no bowl) so I don't see why they couldn't have substituted the fried rice. The carrots were rubbery too. The only thing half way good was the broccoli. I opted for water to drink because I couldn't see paying over $6 for flavored ice tea. I didn't want my date to feel bad for buying me such a horrible meal, so I managed to get a couple of bites down. He asked if I wanted a box. No, but I said yes, again not wanting him to feel bad. I tried the Orange Chicken again when I got home, using my paring knife, and it was still so bad that I threw the whole thing away. There were only 6-8 people in the place, but it was so noisy that I had to keep asking my date to repeat what he said because I couldn't hear him. I was looking forward to a new place to eat and the online menu looked so great... How sad.
