My favorite restaurant is when visiting the Soboba Casino. The Noodle Bar offers some of the most delicious food anywhere. In my opinion, it is truly a hidden gem. The pad thai tasted more soft than chewy, it tasted as if I was eating soba noodles because there is no umami flavor, let alone the sweet and savory taste to the noodles. Not even the chili paste can add even a hint of flavor. The tofu is too soft for my tastes, and lacking in flavor. Same thoughts about the bulgogi, which was also lacking flavor. For quite a large price, I feel very disappointed. However, there was one thing I did enjoy, was the calamari and sauce. Calamari was the perfect mix of chewy and crispy. I savored every bite of that texture. Sauce was tangy and sweet, the kind of flavor I expected in the Pad Thai. My parents and I love eating here when at Soboba. My favorites are the orange chicken and kung pao chicken or shrimp. My parents also enjoy a noodle dish with chicken and the egg rolls. The service was good ,our waitress Serrena was attentative and refilled your drink without having to ask her. The food wasn't bad. The wonton soup kinda lacked the flavorful broth, but adding chili and soy sauce made it better. The garlic chicken wings were juicy inside and crispy outside. They definately didn't skimp on the fried garlic bits, which were delicious. The spicy dumplings had a good chili flavor to it, but you have to watch out for those peppercorns if you're not a fan. The ube butter cake was our favorite. The Ube ice cream with the butter cake together was a fantastic bite. I was disappointed that the edge of the cake was hard like a cookie; however, the middle part of the cake, underneath the ice cream, was still soft. Grabbed a late night meal at Noodle Bar and was surprised at how quiet it was inside the restaurant as it was open inside the casino but honestly didn't sound like it or feel like it. It was an overall positive experience due to the great service and food even though I only had the steamed pot stickers appetizers. But those can be either really good or bad and I was so impressed at how yummy they were and the two very different sauces they were served with. My husband truly enjoyed his Pho' meal. I ordered my meal to go last night and wasn't really impressed with the food I got to be honest. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken (from the wok) Garlic Chicken Wings Szechuan Wontons I will say that the Szechuan Wontons were really good with a spicy flavor the other items lacked flavor with my order.. the Kung Pao chicken bits seemed overly fried and super chewy and it just seemed like they were in a rush and just thrown in the to go box with soy sauce leaking everywhere in the bag. The Garlic Wings were clumped together and they just dumped a huge pile of garlic and what looked like cilantro on top of it. I'm sure this place has other items that are good from other reviews I've read I believe this place is good I just didn't have a good experience and this was my first time going to Soboba so I was a little disappointed. I will be coming back to the casino but I feel like I would be trying a different place to eat after spending the $48 and being a little let down with the food. We had Mike, our excellent and preferred server because of his attentive customer service & knowledge of various offerings & specials. Our meal was outstanding! It was a prime steak and a 9 oz lobster tail to share, + soup, or an awesome salad, which my husband said was one of the best ever. Appetizers of crab rangoon and eggrolls, and a scrumptious dessert for $109 rounded out the meal for the 2 of us. Perfectly cooked and very worth what we thought was a very reasonable price. My favorite appetizer is the shrimp wontons which are made in house. My husband loves the French steak cubes. In all honesty, I wish I could give them 4 1/2 stars, but Yelp doesn't do halfsies so I'll round it up to 5. I should also mention the entire meal was comped, so we only paid for the tip but trust me, we paid for the meal with all the $$$ we lost in the casino which was way more than what was comped to us. They were all friendly, helpful, and even said they could hold our leftovers for us so we could gamble some more. The food was an 8 out of 10, with the Ube Butter Cake being a 15 out of 10. We had the steak special, BBQ pork fried rice, and orange chicken. Except for the steak dinner, expect everything to be family style servings. Everything tasted good, but you can tell this isn't a steak place as it was just OK. Better than Denny's, but still tasted a little pre-manufactured, if you know what I mean. The fact that we got our food pretty fast told us they didn't spend much time on the steak. It was served with steamed rice rather than having an option for maybe a baked potato. At the same time, the place is called Noodles so what do you expect? The orange chicken was a little bland, but at least it wasn't spicy, which is good for me. The meat was tender and plentiful though. I give them credit for more meat than coating. The fried rice was pretty good. I wish it was a little more pork, but now I'm being picky. But let's talk about the Ube Butter Cake with blueberry ice cream. Dang. I might just come back for dessert just to get this! The cake was warm, and I don't know where they got that ice cream, or if it was made in house, but it sure hit the spot. It was true bliss eating it. End result? Oh, we'll be back. We might try the Pho next time, or the lobster, who knows? ONE OF THE BEST YAKISOBA IN THE IE! I've tried a bunch of different Asian fusion, Japanese and Chinese noodle places and none can compare to this one. I had the Yakisoba with a side dish of Honey Walnut Tofu and it was phenomenal! I also tried the ramen which was so fresh and tasty! This is what ramen should taste like, the broth was excellent! Soboba's Noodle Bar is one of my top three favorite restaurants in the valley, if not my favorite. Everything I try every visit is delicious. I also highly recommend the Korean beef and Honey Walnut Shrimp. Top your meal off with Ube a la mode! It's now one of my top desserts across all cuisines. The service is excellent, our waitress was so professional! I love the dim, trendy lighting. It's a genuinely cool atmosphere. The koi fish art on the brick walls is gorgeous. The wait time can be long sometimes so I'd recommend coming before you're too hungry. I've tried a variety of things here. From the veggie egg rolls to the szechuan seafood platter. Honestly the appetizers were better than the most expensive thing in the menu. Loved the spicy wontons. The combination pho came out piping hot with all the veggies and sauces to put into the soup. The steamed bean sprouts were cold but didn't cool down the soup at all. The veggie spring rolls were super hot and crispy with a nice soft filling. The salt and pepper shrimps were ok. Not as crispy as I would like them to be. The Singapore curry noodles were tasty even at home warmed up, but not spicy at all. The szechuan seafood platter was ok. If you like your Asian food this place isn't great. What Asian restaurant doesn't serve rice with your main dish? Here you have to request and pay for a side of rice. I asked for s side of rice and never received it. I watched our server continue doing other things that wasn't necessary. Our food got cold and never ate our food. We just ordered two items, the Pho soup and the green beans w/meat. The Pho soup was just okay but was a nicely sized portion. The green beans w/meat was tasty but I was surprised how much they cut of the green beans. There wasn't a single bean longer than 1/2 of an inch. If this rating was for the service, it would have been a 5 star rating. Our server was right on top of our requests, responded quickly and was professionally friendly. This was a favorite of mine until this last visit. Food was bland.... Fried rice and pad Thai. The granny was too chewy and also lacked flavor. The walnut shrimp were sardine but the rest was very disappointing. More so because we had out of town guests. I'll have to rethink this as a go to place with guests.
