We came here for breakfast right before heading back home to San Diego area and this place is a must try. I ordered the cactus omelette and it was great! I've never had cactus in my omelette before so that was interesting---it almost tastes like bell peppers, but with a bit more crunch. I also ordered a side of fresh fruits and I must say, I haven't had a cup of fruits where each pieces of the fruits was absolutely delicious and fresh. Pricing was reasonable and we parked on the street. Services was great, but we had to flag down the waiter a few time to get a refill of the coffee. The place is nice and feels like a typical dinner with elevated food. Overall, this place is a must try before you leave Twentynine Palms. read more

Great breakfast. I enjoyed the ham and eggs. The ham steak is a real 1/2 ham steak. If you like the 1/2 with the bone in it just ask. Hash browns good and the sunny-side up eggs were cooked perfectly. Service was very prompt and courteous. Only complaint was it was very warm and uncomfortable inside. Came here enjoying a weekend away in the desert. It's one of the only brunch spots in town which makes it an easy crowd favorite. We got there before 9 on a Saturday and still had a long wait to get our food. The place was packed and many seemed to know each other. I loved that they have actual cactus on the menu- I hear it tastes like bell pepper. We didn't try it, but maybe another trip. It has all the classic brunch or lunch items you could ask for plus items with a desert twist like the popular cactus omelette. Obviously, I had to get that-- the omelette was huge and the cactus tasted "like any other vegetable" as the waitress described (which had us laughing) but I still really enjoyed it! Also something hard to get right. The coffee was great and the food came out fast. I was pleasantly surprised that the Eggs Benedict were delicious.
