The Early bird gets the worm...

Campbell Hill is back! They have limited hours in the evenings going into the weekend. Not the full service bakery as before but serving up delectable goodies along with dinner items. Check their Facebook and instagram page for hours, menu offerings and updates.

Great small bakery in 29 Palms! The menu changes weekly, so you always get to try something new. I usually check their Instagram or Facebook for the week's menu and hours. There's usually a line since only one party is allowed inside at a time due to limited space, but it's definitely worth the wait. Their sandwiches, soups, drinks, and pastries are all delicious. Thank you!

Amazing pizza. Still tastes great the next day too.

I would gladly drive the 2 hours from my home to try some delicious pizzas, soups and some of the best pastries on earth. He also has a ton of other goodies. If you're anywhere within 50 miles of this place between business hours, make the detour. You won't regret it.

A very savory pizza with caramelized onions.

Outstanding in every way! What impresses me most is the huge variety of things they bake: breads, cookies, banana bread (which is the best I've ever had), blueberry cream cheese coffee cake, and occasionally pizza's that are the best in the Hi Desert. What a pleasant surprise that 29 Palms has a bakery worthy of Paris.

Excellent bakery very niche only only on Thursday Friday and Saturday evenings. I try to stop every time I'm in town.

Love this place! Everything we have tried has been incredible! My favorite are the cupcakes, but you can't go wrong with any selection!

I sadly can't go here much anymore because it turns out I'm allergic to the glyphosate in wheat…read more (Someone told me that I could probably eat sourdough even though I couldn't eat regular wheat, so I ate a whole flatbread from Luna and broke out in hives. ) My only wish for Luna is that they would make 1 truly great breakfast pastry that is gluten free so I could come here all the time. Their current GF options are either not tasty or not great breakfast items (almond cookie, coconut macaroon and a very hard to eat bread loaf). I know from personal experience with Pamela's GF baking mix just how easy it is to make a delicious chocolate GF banana bread that is just as good as the wheat version. Luna could probably even make one where their wheat eaters wouldn't even notice the difference. Anywho, that is my gf fantasy. In conclusion, if your body can tolerate sourdough, get to Luna! It's divine! If not, you can always get a delicious gluten-free doughnut next door at Matson Ambroise.

This bakery, with its wonderful baker-owners, Julia and Ian, is probably the best thing to happen…read morein YV since we first moved up into Burns Canyon 17 years ago. The bread, pastries (sweet and savoury!), cookies, cake (carrot!) and then also their amazing sandwiches, well, it is all to die for. During my 40+ minute drive down from the canyon I am thinking the whole time, 'What should I get today?' And so looking forward to eating it. About the sourdough bread (everything here is sourdough of course)... I have been baking sourdough bread, using the same starter, for the last 16 years (along with waffles and pancakes and biscuits) -- inspired by what I first found at San Francisco's Tartine and soon after at Luna -- and Luna's bread continues to inspire me (I wish I could bake it so perfectly every time). If you are in YV, Joshua Tree, Pioneertown (on your way to and from Pappy and Harriet's maybe?) and vicinity, do not miss the opportunity to visit Luna Sourdough Bakery.

Perfect breakfast and lunch spot! Great spot for coffee with all homemade coffee and fresh to order…read morefood. We got the breakfast burrito with the cilantro crema on the side, it was amazing not spicy and very flavorful with the beans cheese and potatoes very filling as well. The coffee was great. We got the cold brew which was so refreshing on a hot day. They also had a fresh homage cold foam for iced lattes. They have both cow and oat milk options. We went for lunch and they were sold out of the quiche. They have a different vegetarian and meat option everyday and they go fast so get there early if you want this. Great outdoor seating area with plenty of shade and turf. Service was so friendly and nice and very accommodating for modifications to orders. Super conveniently located on the main road to and from Joshua Tree right outside the park. Loved this spot!

The patio our front is super pleasant to sit at during the morning to soak up a little sun. Everything is very clean, new and well decorated. The menu isn't big, but there are so great options. The menu is carefully crafted by the chef and he wasn't able to deviate when we asked for a substitute of bacon in place of chorizo in the breakfast burrito which was a bit odd but I'll just pretend it's because he respects his recipes. The cook was also late to show up that morning so it took longer than expected to get our food. Luckily we weren't in a hurry and it was super pleasant sitting in the back patio. Most of us got the breakfast burrito which was made with quality ingredients. One person got the quiche which looked pretty tasty and full of some fun flavors. This was by far the "fanciest" stop on our road trip and was a great break to relax and unwind on the back patio area on the turf and at the picnic tables. This is a fantastic outdoor spot.
