We popped in for a bite at this spot the last couple times we had a desert getaway. Food is solid. I like the light healthy choices. We got wraps last time we stopped in, today we ordered a couple BLT's +avocado #delish. We also got the Sabrina Smoothie which is the main reason I'm doing this review. Sooooooo good! The inside is clean with several tables to sit, including a large table for a bigger party. We sat on the small patio and enjoyed the nice May weather with a breeze. We're here for the weekend, so I'll probs be back for another smoothie treat! read more

$38 for two sandwiches and two canned drinks. We tried the turkey avocado special and a sourdough breakfast sandwich. The turkey, while good, wasn't freshly carved, which took a little away from the "special" feel. And while the breakfast sando was light and all alone on the plate, the way the mayo fused the flavors together was delicious. But I do wish the beverage fridge had prices listed so I wasn't surprised at the register. The restaurant, while it's a bit tricky to find on the side of a building, inside is a modern space. It's spotless and very clean. The aesthetic is minimalist and if it were just you, it could feel a bit cold, if not for the steady buzz of activity behind the counter. There were three staff members who moved swiftly. As I watched I was impressed with their efficiency as the kept things running smoothly. When we entered an hour before closing, we made the mistake to sit and pause to look over the menu. It was a mistake because it seemed like the front door kept swinging open as wave after wave of hungry visitors poured in. My guess is these folks were all returning from Joshua Tree National Park. In fact, it felt like nearly everyone there had just come from the park. The business concept appears thoughtfully geared toward travelers, particularly those with a bit of disposable income and a discerning palate. Overall, this is a certified foodie stop: quality over quantity: taste over filling up. read more

This place was clean, the staff was nice, and it was busy on a Saturday morning. Coupled with amazing 4.6 star reviews on Yelp and Google, we felt safe trying it. The food took a while but it was busy so that's expected. However, when it arrived it was lackluster at best. I ordered the breakfast burger and while they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked, I didn't expect it to be extremely well-done. The patty was dry and had no seasoning I could taste. The bun was grilled hard as well, with a slather of mayo and two tomato slices. The bacon was good and was the only thing that saved this burger. Not even the yolk of the egg was enough to moisturize this desert fare, and chewing my well done disaster took longer than this morning's hike. The breakfast potatoes were flavorless and forgettable, and everything my family ordered was mediocre at best. 4.6 stars where? It seems that the ingredients were fresh and that's great but where is the seasoning? I don't want to be too hard on these folks because they were very nice, but I think the 4.6 is misleading and I have to bring it down to manage the expectations. Perhaps they're rating on a local, Joshua Tree curve, but for this out of town guest, it's a 3 at best. read more

Service was excellent and the food is very fresh and delicious! Will come back the next time I visit Joshua tree

I had a breakfast burrito but it seemed to only have one slice of bacon in. My husband had the Yucca burger but it was a shame they don't do fries. The homemade salsa is delicious. It's counter style ordering, the girl was friendly. Inside is sparsely decorated but they do have solid stone tables which were nice. read more

What a great find while visiting Yucca Valley! Fresh, flavorful food with perfect portion sizes. Friendly and quick service. Lots of healthy options and unique drink choices. I got the chicken bowl and my husband got the avocado toast (eggs added) and we shared the sweet potatoes. I also got a pineapple water which was very refreshing (but does include the pulp of the fruit if that's important for you). Cute spot in a strip with mostly indoor seating (couple of tables outside). Would love something like this close to home but we'd definitely come back when visiting Yucca Valley. read more

A relatively healthy eatery with sandwiches, bowls, and burgers. We went on a Tuesday around 10am and it was a bit busy, possibly because of pre-Thanksgiving travel. We got the veggie scramble bowl and the avocado sprout burger. The bowl has a good amount of eggs but mostly beans and rice, with a side of salsa - fairly decent. The avocado sprout burger is fairly solid - we got the sweet potatoes on the side that was mushy and not much flavor though. We also got the butter coffee which was $9 which is insanely expensive, though the drink was fairly unique with coconut oil and ghee inside This is a fast casual restaurant with self serve water so you can be in and out of here in 30 minutes or so. Only one restroom available for customers though read more

Crude rude and harsh is the owners misguided response. His own comments solidify he doesn't care and grabs the same tired excuse responses. One grill but it was a turkey sandwich. More staff busy season but takes phone orders when he can't keep up with in person orders. And all else fails tell the customer to go somewhere else and plenty of fast food around his establishment. This place deserves a -10 stars. Over priced mediocre food you wait an hour for. read more

Nice lunch spot. A lot of tables and parking. It's a little hidden but it's behind the Applebees. They have a wide range of foods and serve lunch and breakfast all day! I got the breakfast burrito around 2pm and I have to say it was delicious. It feels very healthy. The burrito was wrapped in a spinach tortilla with bell peppers and eggs. I was impressed. Service was also great. They were quick and friendly. Great spot to just grab lunch if you're in the area and looking for something quick and healthy. read more

I was looking for a great breakfast that wasn't a chain in the JT area and stumbled across Yucca Tree due to the extraordinary reviews. This place came highly recommended by coworkers. The reviews were very positive and I was really looking forward to my food! I ordered the Veggie Burger, with a side of sweet potatoes. Very fresh and quality ingredients. The food however was pretty bland and flavorless. The sweet potatoes did not have salt or honey. Very disappointing! The service was great! Staff was really friendly and my food was prepared quickly. The ambiance was relaxed and casual. The restaurant is very clean. Overall I would recommend this spot for a quick and casual bite. Perfect little spot for sandwiches/burgers/burritios in the Joshua Tree area!!! It's in a plaza, so there is plenty of parking. The workers are super welcoming and polite. We went for a late breakfast after sleeping in. My wife got the Breakfast Burger, it was excellent! It comes with a grass fed beef patty, topped with a fried egg, bacon, cheese, tomato and mayo, served with breakfast potatoes. All fresh ingredients and a wonderful toasted bun to top it off! Check the photo, it was well worth it. I ordered the Breakfast Bagel, it comes with eggs, spinach, tomato, cheese and mayo, served on your choice of a fresh bagel. This also comes with the side of breakfast potatoes. This sandwich was great! But I definitely was eyeing my wife's breakfast burger the whole time!! All in all this is a solid breakfast/lunch spot if you are in the area. Prices are fair and it has a nice hometown feel. We will definitely be back next time we are visiting JTree. read more

Q: what stood out to me the most? A:The knowledgeable staff and how friendly they were with my peculiar questions. With that being said today was my friend's birthday we came into this establishment because we know Yucca Valley is limited on options and of course no we don't want to go to Applebee's and no we don't wanna go to IHOP or blackbear diner not really our forte especially two moms who are getting out without kids for the day for some reason y'all had constantly thrown this place out to me and I would like to say I am grateful I did not know this place existed I did not know where it was but I do plan on coming back to the staff member of the female who is extremely friendly and explain the capers to me thank you so much you were totally right they do have a flavor that is acquired for but I do like that flavor my eggs were cooked perfectly on my sandwich the salmon was so beautifully pink the capers were dripping with an aïoli that was absolutely divine I have never had a sandwich with a perfect crunch and I never can say there was a perfect crunch until today when I bit into that breakfast sandwich being a person who had recently undergone gastric sleeve surgery and then gastric revision surgery I have to say this meal sat very well with me hence the comment so many hours later so not only is the staff friendly not only are they kind and knowledgeable about their products but it's bariatric friendly and a great getaway when you are a mom trying to get some quiet not to say that this place is not kid friendly because I did see a father with his son sitting outside and I thought it was absolutely beautiful but the vibe is so maintained it's so clean the music is just in tuned with how your soul is feeling while being there. Was in Joshua Tree for a day and wanted to find something tasty for lunch. Looked up places in nearby Yucca Valley and found The Yucca Tree Eatery. When I come to a brunch place, it's a pretty good bet that I'm going to get something with eggs. Went with the breakfast burrito since it had eggs. Unfortunately for me, this particular breakfast burrito was heavier on the potatoes than the eggs. Regardless, it was a very good breakfast burrito. Bonus points for everything being organic! Service was fine, no complaints from me. Very friendly people here. Worth a visit for sure. read more

Food: Got the soyrizo burrito which was so good. The salsa that came with it was more tomato-y which was so pleasant. The veggie burger was perfection. Absolutely delicious with great portions. Came to this place for lunch after visiting Joshua Tree and really enjoyed it. Located across from Applebees, there is plenty of parking in front of the store. Ordering is at the cashier and self seating. Everything is made fresh and it took less than 10 minutes for my order to come out as there were a bunch of people dining in. I had the grilled artichoke sandwich and it was delicious!! It was freshly made and really filled me up after spending a few hours walking in the sun. My friends also enjoyed their burrito and avocado sprout chicken sandwiches. Lots of healthy food items to choose from! Definitely a great place to have a meal if you're in the area! read more

Waited 50mins + for a chicken burger & beef burger and to top that off they brought the wrong order, a customer next to us ordered food and walked out having paid, if they allowed customers to pay after receiving there food they would lose 50% of there takings, i only wish i couldn't retract the tip i gave from walking in the gate. The food itself was sub par, my recommendation is that if someone takes you here then do a "Moon Walk" don't waste you time, money. two meals and two drinks (granted a green juice) just under 70 bucks read more

This place is a little gem! It is tucked in back of a building that also houses that huge chain coffee place with the mermaid on the logo. I found it on Yelp when looking for a coffee (& potentially a non-coffee for my non-coffee drinking companion). So glad we did! The coffee was Joshua Tree brand- a local coffee roaster. It was smooth and full of flavor. I love that it came in a substantial mug- I know it's not a big deal, but significantly increases my enjoyment. I ordered the grilled cheese and artichoke sandwich. This was simply scrumptious! Just enough cheese and then with artichoke, fresh spinach and fresh tomato all grilled to perfection on sourdough bread. Price point was also very reasonable for such fresh and beautiful ingredients. I hit the road after that with a happy tummy! read more

So my wife brought me a jalepano burger from here a couple years ago during one of our staff work days at school. I opened the box to see...of all things...sweet potatoes as the side. A little eclectic but I figure what the heck, I'm starving. I bite into this odd concoction and BOOM the best burger I've had in the Hi-Desert. I almost hated to spoil it by eating the sweet potatoes too, but I figured I'd give it a try. The sweetness of the side paired perfectly with the spicy burger. Match made in Heaven. This is now one of our goto places. My son loves the chicken bowls, my daughter can't get enough of the Yucca Burger (orders it ev-er-y-time), my wife loves-loves-loves their grilled cheese, and I've been grooving on their BLTs lately. Honestly though you can go wrong. From breakfast to lunch everything I've tried is a winner. I've final won over the guys from church to meet here. It spacious enough to carry on conversations and they usually carry a very nice ginger beer that you rarely see in restaurants. Try it out. A good place for friends, family or even the occasional meeting. I'll post some pictures when I can wait long enough to have a shot without a bite taken out of it. read more

Veggie soyrizo breakfast burrito, no cheese - This was filled with lots of freshly sauteed veggies, some small pieces of egg, and some tasty soyrizo, all inside of a grilled spinach wrap. Food: 6/10. The food was was decent for a brunch place. I got breakfast tacos, which was a good amount of food for the price. The tacos had a small amount of scrambled eggs and a decent amount of bacon. The food inside the tortilla was small compared to how big the tortilla was. I did not like the potatoes that much. They were very bland. Service: 10/10. You go up to the counter to order and they will bring the food to your table when it's ready. The food didn't take too long to come out. Ambiance: 8/10. Seemed to be a very quick lunch place! Seating is first come first serve. It's a step up from fast food, but a step down from a typical sit-down restaurant dining experience. read more

was really excited to hear about an 'organic' and healthy cafe in the area. was imagining fresh, as in variety of fresh veggies and fruit, good local breads, fresh squeezed juices, nice variety of dishes and sandwiches that are organic and abundant, a fresh daily soup maybe..you know, the southern california organic cafe that is so possible and that we all love. instead you walk in to a drab and sterile space that is not warm and welcoming, but looks more like a fast food chain and smells like grease. zero charm or thought put into the ambiance. and unfriendly staff who seem annoyed to be there. such a missed opportunity for a much needed space the high desert needs and wants read more
