But I do wish the beverage fridge had prices listed so I wasn't surprised at the register. The restaurant, while it's a bit tricky to find on the side of a building, inside is a modern space. It's spotless and very clean. The aesthetic is minimalist and if it were just you, it could feel a bit cold, if not for the steady buzz of activity behind the counter. There were three staff members who moved swiftly. As I watched I was impressed with their efficiency as the kept things running smoothly. When we entered an hour before closing, we made the mistake to sit and pause to look over the menu. It was a mistake because it seemed like the front door kept swinging open as wave after wave of hungry visitors poured in. My guess is these folks were all returning from Joshua Tree National Park. In fact, it felt like nearly everyone there had just come from the park. The business concept appears thoughtfully geared toward travelers, particularly those with a bit of disposable income and a discerning palate. This place was clean, the staff was nice, and it was busy on a Saturday morning. Coupled with amazing 4.6 star reviews on Yelp and Google, we felt safe trying it. The food took a while but it was busy so that's expected. However, when it arrived it was lackluster at best. I ordered the breakfast burger and while they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked, I didn't expect it to be extremely well-done. The patty was dry and had no seasoning I could taste. The bun was grilled hard as well, with a slather of mayo and two tomato slices. The bacon was good and was the only thing that saved this burger. Not even the yolk of the egg was enough to moisturize this desert fare, and chewing my well done disaster took longer than this morning's hike. The breakfast potatoes were flavorless and forgettable, and everything my family ordered was mediocre at best. 4.6 stars where? It seems that the ingredients were fresh and that's great but where is the seasoning? I don't want to be too hard on these folks because they were very nice, but I think the 4.6 is misleading and I have to bring it down to manage the expectations. What a great find while visiting Yucca Valley! Fresh, flavorful food with perfect portion sizes. Friendly and quick service. Lots of healthy options and unique drink choices. I also got a pineapple water which was very refreshing (but does include the pulp of the fruit if that's important for you). A relatively healthy eatery with sandwiches, bowls, and burgers. We went on a Tuesday around 10am and it was a bit busy, possibly because of pre-Thanksgiving travel. We got the veggie scramble bowl and the avocado sprout burger. The bowl has a good amount of eggs but mostly beans and rice, with a side of salsa - fairly decent. The avocado sprout burger is fairly solid - we got the sweet potatoes on the side that was mushy and not much flavor though. We also got the butter coffee which was $9 which is insanely expensive, though the drink was fairly unique with coconut oil and ghee inside This is a fast casual restaurant with self serve water so you can be in and out of here in 30 minutes or so. Perfect little spot for sandwiches/burgers/burritios in the Joshua Tree area!!! It's in a plaza, so there is plenty of parking. The workers are super welcoming and polite. We went for a late breakfast after sleeping in. My wife got the Breakfast Burger, it was excellent! It comes with a grass fed beef patty, topped with a fried egg, bacon, cheese, tomato and mayo, served with breakfast potatoes. All fresh ingredients and a wonderful toasted bun to top it off! Check the photo, it was well worth it. I ordered the Breakfast Bagel, it comes with eggs, spinach, tomato, cheese and mayo, served on your choice of a fresh bagel. This also comes with the side of breakfast potatoes. This sandwich was great! But I definitely was eyeing my wife's breakfast burger the whole time!! Came to this place for lunch after visiting Joshua Tree and really enjoyed it. Located across from Applebees, there is plenty of parking in front of the store. Ordering is at the cashier and self seating. Everything is made fresh and it took less than 10 minutes for my order to come out as there were a bunch of people dining in. So my wife brought me a jalepano burger from here a couple years ago during one of our staff work days at school. I opened the box to see...of all things...sweet potatoes as the side. A little eclectic but I figure what the heck, I'm starving. I bite into this odd concoction and BOOM the best burger I've had in the Hi-Desert. I almost hated to spoil it by eating the sweet potatoes too, but I figured I'd give it a try. The sweetness of the side paired perfectly with the spicy burger. Match made in Heaven. This is now one of our goto places. My son loves the chicken bowls, my daughter can't get enough of the Yucca Burger (orders it ev-er-y-time), my wife loves-loves-loves their grilled cheese, and I've been grooving on their BLTs lately. Honestly though you can go wrong. From breakfast to lunch everything I've tried is a winner. I've final won over the guys from church to meet here. It spacious enough to carry on conversations and they usually carry a very nice ginger beer that you rarely see in restaurants. Try it out. This place is a little gem! It is tucked in back of a building that also houses that huge chain coffee place with the mermaid on the logo. I found it on Yelp when looking for a coffee (& potentially a non-coffee for my non-coffee drinking companion). So glad we did! The coffee was Joshua Tree brand- a local coffee roaster. It was smooth and full of flavor. I love that it came in a substantial mug- I know it's not a big deal, but significantly increases my enjoyment. I ordered the grilled cheese and artichoke sandwich. This was simply scrumptious! Just enough cheese and then with artichoke, fresh spinach and fresh tomato all grilled to perfection on sourdough bread. The tacos had a small amount of scrambled eggs and a decent amount of bacon. The food inside the tortilla was small compared to how big the tortilla was. I did not like the potatoes that much. They were very bland. Service: 10/10. You go up to the counter to order and they will bring the food to your table when it's ready. The food didn't take too long to come out. Ambiance: 8/10.
