Consistently phenomenal. As a local I've had the opportunity to come to Mojave Freeze regularly. The owner and staff are always kind, the shop is so cute and has awesome items for sale, and their ice cream is out of this world. I am absolutely addicted to the caramel crunch sundae.

Mojave Freeze is located in a tiny shop across from Vons in Yucca Valley. This was really good ice cream. Yucca Valley definitely needed something like this for a long time. We love supporting the local establishments. The flavors I tried were very good and plentiful of the bits and pieces of chocolate and berries . The employee did not catch his name had quite the line today around 3 on a Sunday and was working his butt off. He was very friendly even as the line grew and grew to where it was almost out the door. I can definitely see this place being packed with longer lines in the warmer months. Can't wait to try more flavors in the future. Definitely stop and give them a try!

Came into this place today and we were helped by Nevaeh this woman was the sweetest person I have ever met she was so kind and her personality was full of bubble gum and rainbows it seemed like she was absolutely a delight to converse eight with she let us try the ice cream that we wanted to of course they were absolutely phenomenal but not as great as this banana split that is hands-down the best one I've ever had mad props to Mojave freeze for opening such a cute ice cream shop and perfect time for summer coming up and with Rite Aid being gone Sidenote their advertisement board is pretty cool

One of the best ice cream shops I've ever been to! My sundae was so good, we went back the next day. The menu has a lot of variety, scoops, soft serve, cold brew floats, vintage soda floats, Italian ice, and great sundaes. From a classic banana split to more unique creations. Service is amazing and the ice cream is even better.

The soft serve is so good, the strawberry and pineapple topping was great with it and the guy was super nice! We got the upside down banana split. Definitely coming back for the gelati

Easy parking lot to get in and out of. Delicious ice-cream. Some of the best I've ever had. I came in with kids WHO recommended this spot. Yah I was a suckered, bought the kids some fun trinkets they had displayed as you go through the line. Everyone was happy except the mom I came with... the kids drank her shake after they said they never had a shake and could they taste. Turns out the kids like shakes! We also grabbed chips to pair with our ice-cream. The kids said dip the chips. So over all this spot has it all. Chips, trinkets, soda pop, ice-cream! There are a couple tables to sit at. Or sit in your car with the ac up so your ice-cream doesn't melt. Either way it wont make it home. Not too cool/ hipster vibes either. Truly like a small town ice-cream shop should be, that also happens to be cool and chill. Family spot too. Also clean bathroom to wash up. read more

Came with my family in the evening for a small treat as we were on a little trip out here and it's such a fun place! My husband and I shared the gelati and it was so good! The service is always great, the food is always 10 every time. I love the soft serve but the sunday's are really good too and the ambiance is very cool they always have something on the tv which is nice is you're bringing kids to sit and have some ice cream. Tried Mojave Freeze for the first time today and got a Gelati - Italian ice with soft serve vanilla ice cream and it's BOMB got the Italian ice flavor "big daddy" which is cherry, orange, & pineapple flavor. Hit the spot on a warm day. Also, the inside of the place is super cute and they have cute merch. The guys working there were nice. Excited to come back! read more

Hi - just back yesterday from Joshua tree heading toward LA and found this retro ice cream shop that reminded me of ice cream shops back in the day. The guy at the counter was super friendly and when I asked for a "freeze" he told me I could just pick a soda out of the refrigerator - so cool! I had not had an orange freeze in forever, so I grabbed an orange soda! So good! Not like the conglomerate ice cream places we have in LA. I will be back, next visit to Joshua tree! read more

Just what this area needed! This ice cream shop has great flavors, shout out to caramel caribou. You can tell the owners care about the quality of the ice cream and ingredients. Super appreciate the quaintness and that they have a unique setting/style inside. Also very cool they have a little store front that supports other local businesses products. We immediately wondered if it was the same owner and sure enough it is. This Palm Springs spot is their second location and it felt like a little piece of home for us. We could not resist grabbing another bag of candy to support a favorite local shop. They had all the classics we know and love from Newport including the huge variety of house made taffy, baseball chew, and every kind of sour candy you can think of. Everything was fresh and displayed so nicely that it is impossible to walk out empty handed. The staff here are just as friendly as the team back home and the store is spotless and fun for kids and adults alike. Whether you are visiting Palm Springs or a local with a sweet tooth this is an easy recommendation. It is the perfect spot to pick up treats for yourself or to share and it definitely made our anniversary weekend even sweeter.

The place immediately caught our eye. The front window shows a giant teddy bear and the inside is bright, modern, and so well organized that we just had to walk in. Right when you enter there is an entire wall of cotton candy which is my personal favorite. Beyond that there are rows of pastries and macarons, imported sodas and specialty drinks, plus big sections of taffy, jellies, and candies from all over the world. It honestly felt like a candy wonderland. We filled a bag with a mix of everything to celebrate our anniversary weekend and enjoyed it over the next couple of days. Every piece we tried was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the store was spotless and beautifully designed. Whoever put the space together clearly cared about every detail because it draws you in the moment you see it. If you have a sweet tooth or just want a fun treat while visiting Palm Springs this is a perfect stop. We left completely happy and will definitely come back next time we are in town.

Unfortunately I think this place relies on its location and not on products or service. The candy is old and definitely not fresh, the date shakes were meh at best (tragic, considering where it's located) and a cashier that seems as happy to be here are the stale candy and outdated decor. Definitely a "will not return" and that's a shame.

I don't really know what I was expecting from a random fruit-stand-turned-store in the middle of nowhere, but I'll say I was quite pleasantly surprised. The date shake was, pretty much exactly as advertised. It was a milkshake with dates. It was a nice shake: better than most milkshakes, I'd say. It tasted more...natural? But I'm unsure if the fact that 'date' was in the name had anything to do with it. The banana variant, however, was even better. It was definitely espresso forward, which I didn't mind, but I wish the toffee flavor came through more instead of just a subtle hint with each sip. Even so, it was still a pretty decent latte and worth a visit when walking downtown.

If you're a fan of '90s nostalgia, Mojave Freeze is absolutely worth checking out! The vibe is awesome, with fun throwback decor that brings back a lot of great memories. They have a huge variety of flavors and treats, so there's something for everyone. The ice cream was fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and definitely one of the best I've had in the area. The customer service was also top-notch. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and made the experience even better. Plus, there's plenty of parking, which is always a bonus. My only minor observation is that it was pretty warm inside during my visit. I'm not sure if the A/C was having issues or if it's just difficult to keep cool with the doors opening constantly, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. Mojave Freeze is about a legit as it gets! The space is quaint and comfortable indoors, and the owners are incredibly friendly. As someone who normally will avoid dairy I tasted danger and tried out the huckleberry ice cream which was phenomenal - and for those dairy-free out there, their selection of Italian ice is great! This place is an absolute gem. Cool interior , think 90's/early 2000 cool California vibes . There was skateboard decor and they had Tom and Jerry on TV. The worker was polite and informative . THE best ice cream in the basin. The scoop ice cream is incredible, my wife loves the cafe chocolate, and I'm absolutely in love with the caramel caribou. But the best thing is the soft serve.
