Even though there's not much to do in Twentynine Palms diners like these are what makes it worth visiting. I first got a coffee and it wasn't really tasty which I had mentioned to Diana and she quickly made me a fresh pot of coffee which tastes better the second time it was still early so I understand morning old coffee. We ordered the chorizo with eggs with a very hot spicy hot sauce being that I wanted something very hot and spicy she recommended that one.

With an empty restaurant I had to wait to be seated. No towels in the restroom, the "Bloody Mary" I ordered was tomato juice, had to ask twice for a straw and when I asked for a side of horseradish it took 10 mins and was a cream mixture? Then they said they forgot to put in my food order at this point had I of known I would have paid for my drink and left then. But to wait over 30 mins for eggs and soft hash browns is sad. Food came and my friend said his French toast was good so there's that but my gravy lacked flavor and seasoning. Overall not the experience I was looking for on my way out of town- should have kept driving.

This plate-size masterpiece, smothered beautifully in red sauce and a mountain of perfectly melted, gooey cheese is hands-down the best chile relleno burrito of all time, packed with incredible flavor, perfectly cooked, and satisfying from the very first bite. The leftovers kept me fed for another two days. Shout out to Teresa, who remembered me from my last visit with my mother. Our Airbnb host recommended this place as their favorite Mexican place in the area and we thought…read morethe place was just fine. We ordered the super burrito, the chorizo breakfast plate, and the combination plate with the chile relleno and the guacamole taco. Overall, the food was just fine. However, our refried beans were burnt tasting, which wasn't great. The guacamole also had an excess amount of limes in it but the corn shell was fried and had a good taste to it. The chile relleno was generous in size, which is probably why they limit you to one per combination plate. But overall, we thought the food was pretty good, especially the chips and salsa, which was fresh. There is plenty of parking and this place has a diner-like feel to it with plenty of seating. But overall, the food was just fine and the service was a little bit on the slower side.

It was Easter Sunday, so I was impressed with how smoothly everything went despite our large group. Our server, Carlos, was fantastic. That made things so much easier for our group, and was very much appreciated. I ordered a horchata and the asada burrito, which hit the spot after a couple of days on the trail. Around the table, friends ordered a variety of combo platters, including tacos and enchiladas, and everyone seemed happy with their meals.
