I work in the food industry as an executive chef, and one of the things I emphasize when training my staff is the importance of acknowledging customers and making them feel welcome. I completely understand having a bad day, but basic professionalism and customer service should still be expected. At that point, we just wanted to leave. We got our pie and ice cream and left instead of staying for the BBQ we had originally planned on having. It's unfortunate because we were having such a great day and were genuinely excited to spend more time there.
