Stale bread!! Bought a footlong BMT sandwich, drink and a small bag chips this morning at the 76 station at Hwy 62 and OWS road. Their Saturday special. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE I've honestly never seen such an incoherent couple of coworkers. Not including myself- I watched them make 5 sandwiches in a row wrong. As the only 3 people in the store when we walked in; it took about 5 minutes to get ready to take my order, and then at least another 2-3 tries and another 5 minutes to get it finished. The service is genuinely bad here. Everytime I've gone the employees have been very rude and the foods always mid.

The other Yucca Valley Subway is closed so we came here. One and done. Their space is inside a gas station and is tiny. Somehow, they make it work. What doesn't work is the feeling one (us) gets from the employees. Yikes! They were like robots repeating or asking questions in monotones with vacant eyes. The most important thing is the sandwiches and they were done well. At the end of the day, that's the most important thing. The reason for this review is no one ought to leave any business establishment feeling icky and bad. The other Yucca Valley Subway was welcoming, big, clean, bright, and the staff was fantastic. Their sandwiches were always satisfying and tasty. I hope they reopen. In the meantime, we will never crave Subway enough to return here. They ought to visit the Twenty-nine Palms Subway by the DMV, which I reviewed last week. That place far exceeded every expectation anyone could have of a restaurant. This is a small Subway located near a Valero gas station. The store may be small, but the sandwiches were full size ! We ordered two of the daily special Ham footlongs, and took them to Joshua Tree park for consumption later. The sandwiches were awesome, and exactly to our individual orders. Quick and easy. Since it's very close to the visitor center restaurants are very busy in general. We went to subway to get a quick meal. It's standard subway quality but it's very quick even though there are people in front of us. Way to go! read more

Not impressed with this subway. The brown haired, maybe mid 40s lady that served us has no sense of customer service and seemed like she absolutely hated her job. She asked if I wanted any sauces and I said mayonnaise. When we got out to our car we found that there was no Mayo on the sandwich. We went back in and she argued with us saying she did put Mayo on it. I showed her the sandwich had no Mayo and she said it was on the lettuce. Nope. So then she just threw a few Mayo packets on the counter and walked away without saying anything. Do yourself a favor and go to the subway about a half mile north on highway 62. read more

Note to Martha. When someone orders more than one sandwich you don't mark one with an ambiguous X and then say it's the other sandwich. Went back to bring the sandwich but Martha's in the back room and doesn't bother come out when her coworker relays what I said. When a sandwich is now so expensive Martha you should appreciate that and show more care in what you do. And when a customer is polite and says thank you and goodnight you don't just blow them off with indifference. Been to this location several times and everyone was very friendly and does a good job. I am a regular at this particular subway and this location is hands down way better than any other subway around. Not only is their service better but the sandwiches always look nicer and taste better too. The ingredients always look and taste fresh and the subway portion of the store is very clean. Sometimes it is a bit crowded due to the influx of tourists visiting the park but since I usually order online or with the app, I get to bypass all that nonsense. I have never had any issues here and the staff and manager are extremely awesome. A few times I have had trouble with the app but as far as the restaurant itself, it doesn't get much better. read more

On September 30 2018 I received excellent service from a lovely lady named Melisa (??). I was visiting the area for the first time and she went out of her way to locate a nearby campground for me. Went to both Subways in Yucca Valley - just to try and see how Subway was in this town. The servers didn't seem to really care to be there (though there were a couple that did stand out) - does no one in the town enjoy their work? The food quality was so-so but they really SKIMPED on everything!! Come on - on a 12" sandwich they place 4 slices of tomatoes - of which I had to pay more for "extra" couple of slices!! I truly felt like I was eating more bread then anything. Which I will say that the breads that I did get were fairly fresh. I tried both locations in Yucca Valley and both places did not rate above a 2 for me or my group. We did try the Subway out by the military base in 29 Palms - that one is MUCH better!! read more

It's years since I've eaten a Subway sandwich. I didn't much care for the last one I had but I'm European and culturally unused to the idea of so much meat and so much choice on one piece of bread. I get it now and I understand how to order. Things have also changed. Choice of healthy breads for one thing. The service was pleasant and speedy - a couple of tables were available in a corner - we took our food away. The sandwich was perfectly fine and we chose more slimming ingredients - after Christmas, you know. Fresh ingredients and plenty of choice. You can't beat the price especially if you share. Maybe, I'll start eating more often in Subways ...it certainly changed my opinion. read more
