Pretty good sandwiches, I like the turkey bacon ranch. Others are good too. Prices aren't too too bad

Extremely disappointed with Firehouse Subs. The last THREE times I've ordered a steak and cheese, the sandwich has been cold and the bread has been hard and stale. Once is a mistake. Twice is frustrating. Three times is a pattern. For what Firehouse Subs charges, there is absolutely no excuse for consistently serving cold food on hard bread. A steak and cheese should be hot, fresh, and made properly--not something that tastes like it's been sitting around. I kept giving this location another chance thinking the previous visit was just a bad day, but clearly the quality and consistency have gone downhill. Three bad experiences in a row is enough for me. I won't be wasting my money here again unless something changes. read more

I love the sandwiches here and the employees are nice enough, but very much hate the choice to play Christian Jesus sermons over the speakers, so you are forced to listen while you are ordering/eating. This is a sandwich spot, not the place to proselytize. Very inappropriate. read more

I ordered a small Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket and it was maybe 4 inches long. I thought it was a slider, I kid you not. I politely asked the manager about the portion size, thinking that perhaps I had in fact ordered a slider, and he threw me attitude. Save your money and don't expect anything resembling customer service. read more

My family started coming here when Firehouse first opened. We got frustrated with the other sandwich shops in the area either having a poor product, service, or just not making the food despite charging us online. As you have likely guessed, due to our busy life we order a lot of our food online. Nothing against the store itself. While a little cramped, the fireman memorabilia on the walls is charming and there is almost always a game or two on to watch. The staff here is always friendly and and helpful. Many of them are former students of mine! They always make time to say hi while they are busily at work. Had almost no problems using their app to place our order and the food is always fast and hot! read more

My husband and I ordered two sandwiches and a bowl of loaded potato soup. I was super hungry so as soon as I got in the car I opened. HORRIBLE it was even Luke warm first off, there was what tasted like extra lemon juice, extra pepper and Parmesan cheese mixed which made it horrible.... DOOOOO BETTER FIREHOUSE we'll see what my sandwich holds read more

We love this location and grab lunch here frequently! The sandwiches are fresh and delicious .. and the service is efficient.

I love the Italian Salad with chicken; reliably great! Big too. Okay, a bit expensive, as are their subs, but at least they usually are very good. Every now and then you will come across a worker who just doesn't care....usually very young and thinking they should get paid just for being there, I guess. read more

Service- 10/10. Fog brain was young and sweet. He really made my first experience at firehouse sub one to remember. Ambience is definitely top-tier. We got some cow print tables and beautiful art hanging all around the restaurant. Everything is very cohesive. Food, hit every spot needed. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend. read more

These guys are amazing! We received a warm welcome as soon as we walked in with beaming smiles to match. Our subs were made to perfection with melted cheeses and crispy fresh bread. Our daughter throughly enjoyed her Firehouse hat and loved getting to pick out her very own drink from the fridge. Beyond the food and the staff the lobby was very clean and smelled delicious when we entered. read more

What happened to this place? 1sub took 27 minutes to make! It's 101 degrees out and inside this restaurant must be 85 degrees. Their wi-fi is a joke, obviously it's just there for looks, don't bother using it. Really sad, this place used to be great, not anymore. Very Very Slow THIS PLACE IS HORRENDOUS THE EMPLOYEES HID MY FOOD AND WATCHED ME SIT THERE WAITING FOR MY FOOD FOR 27 MINUTES Very hot inside! I don't recommend Whoever runs this place should be ashamed of themselves read more

Firehouse Subs - wow disgusting - Sandwiches Near Me - Yucca Valley, California

Service was extremely slow. People came in after me and they got their food before me. Won't be back

An update, sure, although I must confess I'm not saying anything too different. And that's a good thing. Consistency is a beautiful thing. This last time I went in (mid-July 2024), two young women behind the counter were super nice and friendly. And the sandwiches were deliciously made again. I do need to stop ordering the turkey and cheese (I think it's called "The Engineer") so many times and try something else, though. Recommended...again! read more

I really enjoyed eating here. My daughter and I shared the "Club on a Sub" and it was Super yummy. She said that this was the "best" sub she's ever had! We hope to come and get some more subs next time we visit. If you are getting a sub with sauce, be careful it's really messy but worth it! read more

We are staying up in Joshua tree this weekend. We needed to get some lunch for a bunch of people and ordered from firehouse subs. The food was OK in regards to flavor. The sandwich I had which was a chicken sandwich was sort of dry and doughy bread. Served the purpose for filling me up but that was about it! I would probably eat here again. read more

Firehouse Subs - Italian submarine - Sandwiches Near Me - Yucca Valley, California

So my friend and I were driving up to Joshua tree and wanted to bring some food with us. We made a random stop at this unvisited place that we had never heard of before and I am so glad that we did! We both decided to share the Italian sub and it was so delicious! Immediately after finishing it would look up other locations closer to us for when we were back in San Diego. She ended up getting a red fireman hat I forgot to take a picture unfortunately. Can't wait to try them out in San Diego! We went around noon on a Saturday and it was pretty busy! Always a good sign of great food. read more

I have had Firehouse Subs in the past and I keep saying everyone who cares for the delicious subs should only eat at Firehouse Subs! Not only are your purchases going towards a great cause but this awesome sub sandwich shop was started by firemen. Also, everyone loves a fireman. At least that's hat my wife tells me. Today we stopped at this one location in Yucca Valley because we are camping nearby and went to Joshua Tree National Park. I'm surrounded by 3 females screaming for food because you know we have to feed the beast once in awhile. So I recommended Firehouse Subs and there was a little resistance but I was able to persuade them by paying for it. Happy Ladies happy Life, right. We went inside and ordered. I had the Firehouse Hero, daughters had turkey sandwiches. One for the Turkey Bacon Ranch and the other Engineer and they finished every last bite. My wife had the Jamaican Jerk Turkey and loved it. All were full of so much flavor and perfect bread. The employees were friendly, motivated and respectful! We will definitely be back. It's a must go to! Seriously, stop by and try it! You won't be disappointed! read more

Great sandwich. Took 30 mins to get in and out though. Barely a line in front of me. You decide.

Standard sub with great meat quality. Portions are very filling and large. Potato soup is average. Love the fact that they offer delivery and make donations to local fire stations or volunteer fire fighters. Honestly, it's a great feeling to know that your expenses are being used to benefit society. read more

I have eaten there many times there but today I went to order 4 sandwiches, when I went home none of them had the names on each sandwich, they all seem to look about the same, in the inside so we couldn't really see not difference, I ate anyway one sandwich I was hungry, but disappointed they asked to rounded up the total amount toward the firefighters and I did tip them decently but I don't understand why they charge "food" $4.26, taxes $4.26 and of course the tip $5.73, I am generous and care about workers in general but the lack of detail, not written names on sandwich, and also the amount of dressings and the spices were not pleasant to my palate, read more

Writing this review as the 30 minute mark for my order passes. There have been two other costumers who ordered after us and both have received their items before us. Upon watching our order was made after theirs, maybe because it was more than one sandwich? I honestly don't understand. Also, when asked about this problem their answer was "sorry it's busy there's alot going on" when there was only two other people in the store. Additionally, we specifically asked for our order with no mayo due to an allergy, and caught a worker adding it and trying to SCRAPE IT OFF and use the same bread after letting them know about their mistake. At least we know who to contact if things go bad.... if you value your safety, I would reconsider. Update it's been almost 50 minutes now :) the two costumers who came after us have finished their meals and left. read more

First time visiting and I enjoyed it. Good flavor to the subs and sides. The meat on the steak and cheese was quite tender. I particularly enjoyed the baked potato soup...only wish the "bowl" portion was larger (not much bigger than the smaller "cup") because you could really make a meal of that. Helpful and friendly staff - give it a try! read more

Best salads ever . So cold and fresh . I order ahead before I go to work . Always friendly people

I placed the order at 12:00 on the Firehouse Subs website and was told that it would be ready at 12:10, I showed up at 12:15 to a semi-empty store. A Door-Dash driver was waiting for his order and said that he had been waiting 20 minutes after his designated pickup time, which is a bummer for him because it looks like he dropped the ball, not Firehouse Subs. One of the employees told us that our orders were next, but then he made 3 other orders for someone else. I finally received my order at 12:35. As I watched him make my sandwich I noticed that as he made the other sandwiches previous to mine he would scrape whatever fell out of the previous sandwiches into the lettuce bin. So when he finally made my sandwich, there were ingredients that I did not order and did not want in my sandwich, like black olives and some of the lettuce had ranch dressing and honey mustard from other orders. Once I got home to eat my sandwich with ingredients I didn't want or order, after two bites I went to take a bite of my pickle and found a hair on it. I could not eat the rest of my sandwich, too grossed out. Poor service, gross ingredients, not eating there again. Take your chances... read more

OMG this is the best place to be at! I am most definitely coming back here. Ithe moment you walk in you're greeted as if you are part of the family. Their menu is simple; can't get enough of that Turkey bacon ranch. And I love how the place is set up the vibe is just that a vibe. With that being said when I ordered my food it took no more than five minutes to sit and eat. Like WOW. I'd like to thank Razz for his uplifting spirit and his enthusiasm. Most definitely a place to go and try without a shadow of a doubt. I give it 10 stars out of 5 read more

Three employees in here and after 38 minutes I'm still waiting for my sub... There's a lot of online orders isn't an excuse. There's 16 customers inside waiting for sandwiches why don't they make them???? Also the young girl working lets in a random lady behind the counter and has been talking for 15 minutes instead of helping with the food..??? She also gave her a sandwich for free..??? Doesn't make sense. Definitely not coming back. Too bad bc food is actually good. read more

It was good definitely better than subway but it didn't even come close to Jersey Mike's. I got a medium sandwich and I was literally still starving after. I get a medium from Jersey Mike's and it's loaded up so much I can barley finish it. Firehouse hot sauce also weak af not sure what all the hype was about. There's a Jersey Mike's on the marine base and they will bring it to you off base if you don't have a military ID so I recommend doing that if you want a sandwich that is just loaded up barley fit in your mouth. read more

7:15 tonight, 3 employees working, not one employee welcomes us, all 3 just talking to eachother like we didn't exist. We had to ASK for help. Staff acted annoyed, very rude staff with no guest service skills. The employee put gloves on, but didn't even wash his dirty hands first. Staff laughing and cussing with eachother, actually saying cuss words in front of guests! We were appalled at the lack of health code practices, and no guest service, I guess the owners don't care if we come back, what an awful experience. read more

Raving on my sandwich and my cashier Rosalind. She just made my Saturday. Actually the whole crew was amazing. But Rosalind was the one that took care of me. I will return to this place over and over again like a second home. I had an engineer sandwich, no veggies cause I'm hip like that, no not really. Lol. I got a free hat cause we have to be on theme when eating at this establishment. My sandwich was so good that I didn't mind having drip stains on my shirt. If I was a slob, i would so not wash my shirt but we don't do that here. I do not know why they have such a low rating when people should just eat their sandwich from heaven above and I know they will come back. read more
