Trying to eat a piece of French toast with paper thin bacon.
    Bruce S.

Went there to get a quick breakfast, never again. We both ordered French toast with scrambled eggs. I had bacon with mine and my girlfriend had bacon and sausage. After using enough salt and pepper I could eat the bland eggs and hash browns. But what really got me was when I tried to cut the French toast with a plastic fork. I tried stabbing the toast , but was afraid I'd break my fork. I had to use my knife to cut the toast into smaller pieces. And I still couldn't get the fork to pierce the toast. The service was lousy and the store looked like they were getting ready to close the store or demolish it. I would rather starve than to eat at another jack in the box.

Came here right after checking out of our Yucca Valley Airbnb and needed something quick before the long drive home. Had the Grande Sausage Breakfast Burrito, and picked up two medium curly fries because the app had a great deal on them. Seriously, get the app if you haven't because there are tons of deals on there. But yeah, breakfast burrito was great and hit the spot. For fast food, you can't really complain. Want to give Sarah, the manager, a shoutout. She was really nice and treated us with respect. Made sure my orders were all taken care of since I ordered at the register and on the app. Usually, the only people that ever review fast food chains are those that have nothing good to say. So that's why I'm dropping this review, because someone's gotta balance out all the reviews of people complaining!

    Restroom

Literal shit on the toilet. When I told the employees if they could clean the restroom really quick one of them said 'yeah well get to it' and then the 5 of them continued to lean on the walls and talk about some tv show. There were no cars in the drive thru and none in the lobby. I waited a few minutes and asked again, the response was 'can you hold on a second' I responded saying that there was literally shit on the toilet and I didn't feel comfortable using it. The woman in the back said 'Its not that serious.' If the public restrooms look like this I can only imagine how the inside kitchen looks where they prepare my food.

Our last experience proved to be as solid as all our past visits. We always pick up meat to cook at our site or kitchen and always stop for lunch or breakfast before packing the cooler and heading east. Picked up 2 lbs of chorizo, some cheese and tortillas from the market and we got welcoming vibes and friendly customer service from the butcher and the girl working the register. The taco shop in back is super legit too. I got 6 tacos (2 asada, 2 adobada, and 2 carnitas), my wife got cheese enchiladas with red sauce, and my daughter got a bean, rice, cheese burrito. Everything was insanely good and properly cooked per usual. As others have mentioned, the tortillas are super fresh and fluffy. The enchilada sauce is some of the best red sauce you can get north of the border. All 3 types of tacos were properly marinaded and cooked to perfection. Bomb guacamole and hot sauce for the tacos. My daughter loved her burrito as well. We never drive past Kasa Market without stopping by and they NEVER disappoint!

Meats to choose from: asada, pollo, alpastor, carnitas, deshebrada, lengua, tripa and buche. Nice, friendly, employees, great food, plenty of parking out front and in the back. Note; inside is a small seating area, however you can get it to go. Wish they were closer so I could visit more often!

We decided to sit down for lunch, and they had some pretty good deals going on for their specialty enchiladas: only $9.99 for two enchiladas with beans and rice. Hell yeah, dude! You even get to choose red or green sauce and shredded beef or chicken. It was absolutely delicious. My daughter and I shared an enchilada off of the children's menu. I've gotta say, our waitress was pretty freaking cool. She was super understanding of the fact that my child was frustrated because she was hungry, and she was very patient with us--which I appreciate, especially having anxiety in public. The cute little shop has plenty of seating, including kid-friendly options like high chairs and boosters. It's very clean and smells amazing! The food was out fast, hot, and delicious. The staff was friendly, courteous, and kind. Even the customers, who seemed to be regulars, were very understanding of the fact that my 10-month-old "chose violence" today. Thank you for hosting our lunch and being an amazing part of Yucca Valley! Guys, if you need a fast Mexican spot, this is definitely it. Enchiladas on point, rice on point, and the beans taste like you went straight across the border and got them from someone's abuela. Food wise, that turned out to be the highlight. Anyway, I ordered the El Guero Soecial: steak with cactus, and all the fixings. However when I ordered the steak "medium rare" I felt that it is at this point when the server should have told me that the steak is prepared in beef jerky-like strips, more appropriate for a fajita plate. But even for fajitas, they are served on the dry side, salty, with a texture more resembling leather than beef. It's not so bad when you combine it with the accompanying pico de gallo, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, rice/beans and wrap it into a warm corn tortilla. No lime sightings anywhere for some reason. Now, the cactus: maybe if you're a fan of Okra or any other slimy textured veggie, you might like it, but I just can't bring myself to enjoy what I would describe as a green pepper that was trampled over by a garden snail. But try this desert delicacy and judge for yourself. Finally, do NOT order the chicken wings. I paid $15 for six small, burnt, overly salted wings. Not sure what I was thinking. Mexican restaurants aren't known for chicken wings after all, are they. Great ambience, maybe try the tacos and enchiladas next time. That's all...

The turkey, while good, wasn't freshly carved, which took a little away from the "special" feel. And while the breakfast sando was light and all alone on the plate, the way the mayo fused the flavors together was delicious. But I do wish the beverage fridge had prices listed so I wasn't surprised at the register. The restaurant, while it's a bit tricky to find on the side of a building, inside is a modern space. It's spotless and very clean. The aesthetic is minimalist and if it were just you, it could feel a bit cold, if not for the steady buzz of activity behind the counter. There were three staff members who moved swiftly. As I watched I was impressed with their efficiency as the kept things running smoothly. When we entered an hour before closing, we made the mistake to sit and pause to look over the menu. It was a mistake because it seemed like the front door kept swinging open as wave after wave of hungry visitors poured in. My guess is these folks were all returning from Joshua Tree National Park. In fact, it felt like nearly everyone there had just come from the park. The business concept appears thoughtfully geared toward travelers, particularly those with a bit of disposable income and a discerning palate. Overall, this is a certified foodie stop: quality over quantity: taste over filling up.
