Normally we love this ihop, but today was a whole nuther experience. We walked in after spending the day in record heat haVing a yard sale expecting a nice chilly restaurant but it was hotter in there than outside. We mentioned it to the waitress and she just kinda giggled and said ya it's stuffy. I'm 9 months pregnant and let me say that was way more than stuffy. So my fiance asked her if she could please turn the air on. She just brushed it off and said she could see what she could do. Apparently it was broken or something so we decided to leave. We saw the manager on the way out and said it was just to uncomfortable in there too stay. He just looked at us with s blank stare and said oh ok. No apology, no explanation. Just had the best experience. Although I live in Fontana, my family and I went to the Ihop in Upland for the Be Perfect Foundation Fundraiser. When my 7 year old asked me why we were going to an Ihop so far away from our house, I explained to her that we were going to the event to support this cause that does great work teaching people with spinal cord injuries live outside of their wheel chairs. She then asked "so what are we gonna do there" "Eat" I said. "That's it"?! Lol. The staff was so friendly. We were seated right away. They got our food out in a timely manner and was warm and delicious. My daughter even said "Mom, this Ihop makes the most delicious French Toast". Christmas disaster!!! Let me tell you. I went to IHOP on Christmas morning with my husband and kids. I ordered my food there was a hair in my onion rings. Halfway through my sandwich I realized that they did not put the bacon in my sandwich. So I decided to pay for my family's meal except for mine. There was so many issues with my meal I lost my appetite. I went to the front to pay I spoke to the manager Art. I told him the problems I had with my food. And he tells me that I seem to always have a problem with my food. He must have confused me with another customer and I told him just that. He's so not professional!! I give this place 5 stars today! We went on a Sunday around 10:50 we were gonna go to this other small cafe just up the street from here where you can dine outside on the patio with your dogs but when we arrived there was a line and it was packed. we went to IHOP instead. We asked if we could sit outside with our dogs,2 small lap dogs. we explained how we were going to do this at the other restaurant. They had no problem at all. They sat us down immediately. We had the best service ever and there was no waiting at all. The atmosphere was just perfect. Just like our service and waitress, Jessica. And our food was delicious Thank you again to all the IHOP staff that made our experience there 100 percent perfect!!! I can't wait till next time. read more

Had the worst customer service by Carmen. She didn't greet us and almost knocked over our waters when ordering. After trying to wave down the waitress and get our drink order for over 10 minutes we finally asked for a new server. She ignored all her other tables as well and they kept having to ask other people to get the waitress attention for them. The new waitress Alina was great and provided amazing customer service. Went in there last night for a late dinner. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Service was ok but the food was not to good. We ordered chicken fried steak. It was dryed out like chipboard no juice . Gravy was lukewarm broccoli was dried out no tenderness no flavor. Mashed potatoes were OK. We got the bumbs rush like the last customer to get a plate of food before closing time. that was probably made earlier warmed up in a microwave. It wasn't Worth a fine but it cost much more than it was worth.This is the second time we had a bad experience here at this location I will not come back to strike out for the third time. The major complain that I want to focus on is the ridiculously high prices for their beverages. My wife and I went there this morning so we could enjoy some double-blueberry pancakes. The food was good, the portions were generous...however, I nearly choked when I saw our bill. They charge $2.99 for a cup of coffee and $4.29 for a glass of orange juice! Granted, the orange juice looked fresh (there was pulp in the glass) but, for $4.29, I could have bought a bottle of "Simply Orange Juice" and pocketed the change! Next time, we shop at the local grocery and eat/drink for less than $20. read more

This place is not how i remember it as a child. The wait time was not so bad typical time 20 minutes but the food was not good. As my food came in right away i noticed it had a curly black hair in it, i immediately notified the server and she politely apologized and proceeded to re order my food. My partners food was not even freshly hot. When i did get my food, 10 minutes later, i noticed it had some hashbrowns on the plate. The plate doesnt even come with hashbrowns, that tells me the plate had them on there and they just wiped them off and put my food on it. I did complain to the manager and he did offer to replace my food but i was already mad so why would i eat anything else there. Overall the waiter & host were nice but the food not so much and i dont know about the cooks in the back either. read more

I had such high hopes when I heard they had a to-go menu. But after placing my order I felt a bit strange 17 dollars for an omelette and hash browns? It just didn't sound right but oh well I guess you pay for convenience. Later after I returned home I looked at it an it literally looked as if they took scraps off of other patrons plates. The omelette was runny and severely undercooked with huge heaping bits of avocados. The hash browns were cold and it was just overall disappointing. I like to come here because my kids like the train but the service has definitely declined since I've been coming here. It takes forever to get a server to the table to even get our drink orders. Seems like the the newer waitress just don't do as good a job as the veteran ones. It's clearly a management issue at this establishment. I attended this location for a school fundraiser. They did everything right for us. We got all our food and drinks on time; they were also the correct ones we ordered. Also, when it came time to paying, it was a difficult task because there was separation needed to be done. However, they acted as if there was no issue at all and all of paying went smoothly. IHOP is my happy place. Unfortunately at this location on some occasions the wait staff is not always so happy to be there. This morning my party of three grabbed breakfast kind of early for a Friday morning. I was excited to try the cupcake pancakes. Always tempted I never ordered them before. We were greeted by a waitress by the name of Cindy upon ordering she very rudely told me to hold on as I was ordering. Then she messed up our order and argued with my father law to make it seem like it was his fault. Our waitress also seemed to be chatting with others "life stories" and give some an attitude to others. The food experience was good items were a little cold as we had to wait for our other portions to be brought to the table. I hope This location is able to hire more friendly wait staff. I definitely prefer the La Verne establishment a little better nice staff even though it's a little more of a drive. read more
