My reservation that I made changed 3 times, only to add more people to our reservation that same day. Never once did they complain or state that they could not accommodate us. Once we all trickled in, it was about 18 people. Our tables were ready. I believe our waitress name was Jude, but nonetheless, she definitely was a jewel. She informed us that they were short staff, but she would take our orders. She accommodated every single one of us, never messing up or mixing up the orders, when ask for extras, she got them out immediately and to add to all of this the food was excellent. If you ever get a chance to stop by Studio Four29 I highly recommend it, not just for the food, but also the service. Bravo to our waitress she was on point. Sorry no pictures, by the time we thought about it, you would've just had pictures of empty plates.

There is plenty of parking and when you walk inside you smell the barbecue and see the small town vibe the place has.. The staff are super friendly and know the brand really well.. We had the "When Pigs Fry" Curly fries loaded with pulled pork, creamy coleslaw, green onion, Cajun seasoning, and finished with chipotle aioli & BBQ sauce...This Was Awesome!! We also had the "Oinkers Revenge" An all-beef dog topped with in-house pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and fresh slaw. A loaded, flavor-packed dog built for big appetites. It was good, the only thing was it was so wet I caught myself eating the paper the food was on and it was so wet it dissolved the paper.. This place has a great vibe as they have craft and domestic beer on tap as well as mixed drinks.. The bathroom was a little off putting as there was a sewer smell that hits you as soon as you walk inside. That smell goes away though when you walk back out in the restaurant as you smell barbecue again.. Thank You For The Great Food! I definitely will be back..

I ended up getting not just one, but both lunch specials! I had the 1/4 Burger with fries and the All beef hot dog with tator tots. Both came with drinks and I probably should have asked them for both as they were included at least to go ones. Their burger was great tasting with cheese, lettuce, pickle, and tomato. I had minus onion. The all beef hot dog was very good as I added mustard, ketchup, and relish. Fries and tots were cooked perfectly. Love the ranch dressing for dipping! This was a great visit! There's no host to seat you, so when I saw a table that looked empty we sat there and were informed by other patrons that it was their table they'd been at the bar ordering drinks. The stools at the high-tops were uncomfortable and it was hot inside. If you're making us run back and fourth for our drinks the least you can do is crank the A/C We didn't end up eating there, even though the food looked amazing. My kids were turned off by the noise of the the people watching the game (that's fine no shade, not a kids place as we realized) but we were prepared to stay, looking at a menu on our phones is what turned us off, scrolling as opposed being able to see and flip through a whole menus was super annoying to us, add to that the face that there were no servers available to ask questions about the menu or the food. I'm willing to go back early on a weekday to try the food, but without the kids to maybe sit at the bar and get actual service. We spent $30 on two beers and 2 sodas

I especially loved the Truffle Burger since I usually have to request that tomatoes and onions be removed from my burgers, but not from this one! I was able to eat this one exactly as it comes, which was really nice!! The burger itself was also really juicy and delicious. As for the fries, I just loved how thick and well-seasoned they were to bite into. The portion was huge tho, so I did have to ask to take my leftovers to-go, but even then, it was still just as enjoyable at home! I would absolutely order the Truffle Burger again!! I also ended up getting the Butterfly Kisses, which was really nice. Upon first receiving it, it was really pretty, and when taking a sip, I really liked the fruity taste to it. Tho, definitely make sure to mix it, since the top purple half is where the tequila initially resides lol. It was also nice that we were able to get such cute stickers at the end :)

The restaurant was a little busy and was lively with people clearly having a good time. The wings were delicious, the sandwich was really tasty, and the beer came out perfectly cold. I also loved my mocktail so much flavor without being overly sweet or sugary, which I really appreciated. The only thing that fell a little short was my Cobb salad. A couple of the tomatoes were a bit mushy, and although the chicken was cooked well, it had no seasoning and ended up tasting bland. Honestly, I feel like it was probably just an off moment, especially because everything else we ordered was good. Since this was my first time here, I'm definitely willing to give it another try. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with great service, good food, and a fun atmosphere. I'd happily come back!

We tried Hen & Heifer in Pomona and this one was an easy 10/10…read more I ordered The Narcissist, which is apparently their most popular burger, and I can see why. It comes with two fresh-ground premium beef patties, four slices of cheese, four strips of thick-cut bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and their homemade sauce. It was big, messy in the best way, and absolutely delicious. Shawn went all in with The Mannimal. Instead of a regular bun, it uses two grilled cheese sandwiches with a burger patty, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions in the middle. Definitely not a light lunch, but he loved it. We also shared the Belgian-style fries Cajun style. They were crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, full of flavor, and perfect for sharing. One thing that really stood out was the service before we even ordered. The cashier took the time to tell us all about their scratch-made food, explain some of the menu, and give us recommendations. You could tell there was real pride in what they serve. And apparently we weren't the only ones impressed. There was a consistent line of people waiting to order the entire time we were there. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care. If you're craving a serious burger and fries, Hen & Heifer is absolutely worth a stop. 10/10. We would definitely go back. JustAskMouse.com

Went to Hen and Heifer before a concert at the Glass House down the street. I heard about it…read morebefore, specifically some of the larger burgers like the Boss Hog, but I wasn't trying to eat as heavy before a concert. My friends and I got a heavy helping of information from the cashier after he asked if we'd ever been - which none of us had. He went over the menu, assuring us the ingredients were all freshly prepared in-house for the most part. I opted for a lighter (and cheaper) single patty burger - "The Creaminal", which featured a shmear of cream cheese and jalapenos. We also got some fries to share, as we were told an order could be shared between 2-3 people. We got an order of regular sea salted fries, and one order of cajun fries to share between 4 of us. They were right, it was plenty to go around. To start, the burger was good but nothing too extraordinary - especially given the lengthy preamble. But there was definitely some house made quality - and I definitely want to come back and try another burger option. So why give a 4/5 stars? THE FRIES. We were told the fries were fried in beef tallow which piqued our interest. It was immediately apparent that the fries were above average in flavor. I don't think I could stop talking about them for like 4 days. Out of the two, I really liked the seal salt better, but the cajun were also great. I enjoyed how the cajun had plenty kick to it without being overpowering with spice coverage. Even more than the other burgers, I really want to try some chili cheese fries next time I visit. Though, I'm weary it might be trying to fix something that's not broken. The vibe of the restaurant was super chill, order at the counter, can/bottle drinks only, everything sold seperately. It's a little pricey overall, but again there's a lot of in-house ingredient preparation (meat cuts, sauces, etc.). Next time in the area I plan to check it out again and see if I can find a sandwich/burger that can match the flavor of the fries.
