Cheese omelette.
Patty W.

We landed here impromptu after trying to find Cracker Barrel. It was a bust and ended up there for breakfast before hitting the road for a long drive. I am not going to be shy when it comes to breakfast, so here it goes. The bacon cheese omelette with hash browns and whole wheat toast was alright. I thought it was a little dry. It was still good and I ate what I could. There was so much and I couldn't finish it all. Our waitress provided quick service and we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. There's nothing wrong with unlimited coffee either. Thanks Ihop for a kick off to Sunday.

Mushroom and spinach omelette

Much to say about this debacle of an experience. It started like the typical visit to a diner and we were seated straight away. Unfortunately that's where 'typical' ended. After we put in our order, I couldn't help overhearing a nearby table where the customers were being told they didn't have ketchup or any kind of sauce, including syrup. So I immediately thought wait...IHOP without syrup?!? And an omelette without ketchup (a deal breaker for me)?!? The server lady didn't tell us any of this before, during, or after our putting in the order, so we decided to wait until getting our food to ask. Then the food came out and I immediately saw the noticeably smaller portion sizes than we had come to expect at IHOP restaurants, not to mention skimping of ingredients such as mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach for the spinach and mushroom omelette. When asked we could have ketchup and syrup, we were told that there was none. No explanation why at this point. After finishing the kid's meal-sized food, we mentioned to the server lady our experience, to which she replied, "I don't cook, I just deliver the food," and that maybe the kitchen was trying to conserve ingredients by making food portions smaller. Now, here's how I would have handled this, especially given the IHOP brand: (1) inform the customers about your supply issues and how it may affect the customers' dining experience BEFORE taking their orders, (2) do not make customers pay the full menu price for less than they get in return, and (3) take at least a bit of accountability for customers' underwhelming experience by apologising, and think about how you could make it up to your customers. Just my two cents, and I wish them well.

Wendy in her glory!

I'd Love to comment on the fact that this manager also known as Claude came to our need because I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and this guy made my day.

Unfortunately, my experience last night left a bad taste in my mouth. We were seated in the lower dining room. Everything was going well with good service and delicious drinks... and then I spotted a cockroach crawling under our table. Of course, we are in the south & I am willing to overlook the odd roach here and there. However, when a second one emerged from the hallway, my confidence that this was just a one-off incident tanked. By the time our food arrived, our focus had been diverted to be on roach alert. Unfortunately, the food also missed the mark--overly salty and bland at the same time. None of this aligns with The Public I know and love, so I am really hoping this was just an off night. Might be taking a break from this place for a while.

Home of Savannah's most awarded burger!…read more Green Truck may be one of the best burgers in Savannah, and they have many certificates of recognition hanging along the walls. This small restaurant offers big flavors with local ingredients and grass-fed beef from a local farm. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating along with a few spots at the bar. Service is quick and staff is helpful when substitutions are needed - gluten free bun or veggie patties are available. My personal favorite is the Rustico burger with a smooth goat cheese, balsamic caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and fresh basil. It offers a perfectly balanced sweet and savory bite. Their homemade ketchup is also delicious - nothing like you are accustom to. Also try the Pimento cheese plate - a southern classic. A perfect pairing with the tart pickles!

The sandwich was great, but I had to ask for some mayo because it was a bit on the dry side, the olive tapanade was working hard but it was no match for all of those ingredients together. Good place, I would come back to try other stuff off the menu

The place has a great local vibe and a busy, energetic atmosphere. The cashier was pleasant, respectful, and gave excellent recommendations. Ok, this is one of the first places in Savannah where the price matched with the portion. $3.75 for a slider and $1.50 for half tray of fries. Also $1 for a side of ranch, but can't complain it was a big portion of ranch. We ordered just the regular sliders, one without veggies (for me) and one with veggies (for my girlfriend). The patties themselves were flavorful, but it was really just the patty, I barely noticed the bacon. Bacon cut could've been thicker, or another piece of bacon; to make the layers for distinct. My girlfriend said she didn't realize there was bacon, she did enjoy the slider however. The fries were so good. It kind of reminds me of the In-n-Out well-done fries; superrrr crisp. The ranch was really good too, garlicky a little, and thick consistency. The service was fast and nice. We were one of the first people in, so everything moved smoothly. The ambience is very homey feeling, like I'm eating in someone's home - which I enjoyed. I don't like when a burger spot tries to glorify the inside even though they're just burgers. To sum it up: If the slider had a thicker slice of bacon on the burger, not really thick, maybe the thickness of 2 pieces of bacon just to get the difference textures, this would be 5/5.
