The hostess/cashier/server was polite and trying her best although it seemed she had 3 jobs. I was staying at SpringHill Marriott which is located in same parking lot as IHOP so figured it was convenient to get a takeout of a BLT with fries and an order of French toast sticks. Absolutely horrible. BLT had 1 slice of bacon, 1 piece of lettuce and no tomatoes. French toast sticks had no flavor. Literally the next morning, usage of the bathroom was a must. I would have given zero stars if I could. I was there this morning. There were two workers there, the waitress and the cook. The waitress didn't speak a word of English. Not a word!! The cook had to keep coming out from the kitchen to take orders and settle the bill. I have no issue with someone coming to this country (legally) for work, but they've got to assimilate and speak the language. Who hired this lady? Lastly, I tried to send an email to the address given on a sign at the front of the place because they claim they want to hear about "less than perfect" experiences. I honestly don't think the lady who sat us could speak English or understand it, because we made a comment to her and she just smiled. We landed here impromptu after trying to find Cracker Barrel. It was a bust and ended up there for breakfast before hitting the road for a long drive. I am not going to be shy when it comes to breakfast, so here it goes. The bacon cheese omelette with hash browns and whole wheat toast was alright. I thought it was a little dry. It was still good and I ate what I could. There was so much and I couldn't finish it all. Our waitress provided quick service and we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. Ok...we are told it will be a 15 minute wait, no problrm. While we are waiting, a large family of 8 walks out. They had placed their orders which never came. A door dash gal was waiting 30 mins for an order which was never completed. We walked out and informed another family of what was happening, so they turned around and left. We waited for 5 minutes until one of the waitresses, which were sitting at a table came to seat us. Red Flag should have left then. Every table but two still had leftover food and plates from prior "guests". Waitress was "interesting". I believe illegal drugs may have been her breakfast. Food was good so the cook was fine. Walked in around 6 PM. Only one table had customers. Ghost town. No servers. No one up front. No noises from the kitchen. Sat around the front area for 15 minutes with no one coming out. Finally walked into the kitchen and introduced myself to the staff who were standing around with coffee. They told me to wait up front until they were ready. The AC was the only thing there was working so that's a plus. Staff acted like they were doing me a favor which is odd because generally doing someone a favor means YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING. Typical IHOP experience. Place was short staffed and while the food was good, we didn't get part of our order, even after asking two or three times. The few waitresses were busy and there were multiple tables dirty and uncleared. A couple of the staff were at the front complaining about the day and the work. Not a great atmosphere to go into. Much to say about this debacle of an experience. It started like the typical visit to a diner and we were seated straight away. Unfortunately that's where 'typical' ended. After we put in our order, I couldn't help overhearing a nearby table where the customers were being told they didn't have ketchup or any kind of sauce, including syrup. So I immediately thought wait...IHOP without syrup?!? And an omelette without ketchup (a deal breaker for me)?!? The server lady didn't tell us any of this before, during, or after our putting in the order, so we decided to wait until getting our food to ask. Then the food came out and I immediately saw the noticeably smaller portion sizes than we had come to expect at IHOP restaurants, not to mention skimping of ingredients such as mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach for the spinach and mushroom omelette. When asked we could have ketchup and syrup, we were told that there was none. No explanation why at this point. After finishing the kid's meal-sized food, we mentioned to the server lady our experience, to which she replied, "I don't cook, I just deliver the food," and that maybe the kitchen was trying to conserve ingredients by making food portions smaller. Now, here's how I would have handled this, especially given the IHOP brand: (1) inform the customers about your supply issues and how it may affect the customers' dining experience BEFORE taking their orders, (2) do not make customers pay the full menu price for less than they get in return, and (3) take at least a bit of accountability for customers' underwhelming experience by apologising, and think about how you could make it up to your customers. Just my two cents, and I wish them well. read more

My husband did complain about the omelette having too much egg and not enough cheese, but it was delicious. That's the only reason I did 4 star. Bathrooms are disgusting both men's and women's, mold on the metal pieces of the bathroom doors. Before we even got sat down we had to wait at least 20 minutes. when we got sat they got our order and drinks, when food came we didn't get one order of pancakes, a spoon or napkins. Our server was nowhere to be found for at least 20-30 minutes. All six of us had dirty silverware not a single one was clean. When server finally came to our table soup was cold and everyone was done with their food so they had to wait for me and my friend had to take his pancakes home since they gave them so late. Our server had another table with some elders and she gave them more attention than us, they were literally laughing and talking. Our server even SAT with them to have their conversation while we were waiting for her to come to our table to give us what we needed. As we walked in we saw three teenage girls hiding out and staying in the bathroom. Three costumers had gotten their food before us, as we were there long before they arrived. When we finally got our food, it was poorly packed, halfway cooked, and missing food items. Our service started good, we got in & we greeted & seated immediately by the hostess. She took our drink orders & promptly brought them out. That's where the good service stopped. Our waitress took our orders & she was gone. It was at least over 30 mins (based off my checkin) before we ever saw food. In the meantime tables all around us got their food & paid before we even saw ours. The table next to us is currently gone & my sister is still waiting for hot syrup that she asked for quite sometime. When asked by the waitress what happened she stated we were put outside her area so that's why there was the delay. She never even came over to tell us why there was one. I really don't know what else to say. The restaurant was not even busy. I watched several other tables get their food & everything else. This was the absolutely worst restaurant experience, I've had in my life. We were leaving Savannah and wanted something quick before getting on the road. We were seated quickly, but that is where the pleasant experience ends. Our waitress was awful. She came to our table and we order orange juice and water and then it took her 15 mins to bring it back. We had to ask another waitress for her to see where she was. She finally comes and we are ready to order. We place our orders and attempted to tell her all the condiments we needed with our order so she wouldn't have to make multiple trips, but she then walked away. We never got refills, other waitresses brought us out refills. She never checked on us. When she brought our food, she just walked away and we couldn't get everything we needed to make our food enjoyable. When we were ready to check out, the manager had to chase her down to check us out. We then tried to tell the waitress about our awful service and she kept saying "fuck this place" and "I'm ready to get the hell on". We told the manager and she apologized and gave us coupons. Other workers apologized for her service and stated she is always like this. IHOP you may want to reconsider having this waitress represent y'all. read more

This is an extremely crowded and busy IHOP because of its location off the highway, and next to several hotels. Food and service is typical but the facilities are horrendous. Two stalls, and one has a baby changing station constantly in use. So this packed restaurant has one usable stall, completely unacceptable especially in this heavily travelled area. With 15 people in front of me, it was faster to leave and go to the gas station next door. I'll be scratching this IHOP off the list of any future road trips. read more

For a Mothers Day Sunday, at lunchtime, at a site next to the interstate, they did a fine job. I think they have some process issues that I doubt the workers have any control over. I ordered online and when we picked up our order it was not complete. The young woman at the hostess stand expedited the missing items and we went on our way. I am glad their team showed up to work and I'm willing to bet many of them wished they had called in. The service industry is a hard job and customers should remember that the workers are not any happier than their customers when things don't go the way we wish they would. read more

If you have any food allergies, be careful when eating here. I have Celiac disease and ordered GF pancakes. I've had these GF pancakes at an IHOP closer to home several times. But this time, I was served protein powder pancakes--full of wheat, rye, barley, and oats. It will take me days to recover.
