my sister and her friends came to ihop for national pancake day expecting free pancakes and the waitress savannah told them they all needed to pay for meals after they already purchased drinks to get free pancakes, three of them bought meals and were only given 3 individual pancakes for there 20 dollar purchases! this service is completely unacceptable and by the way it is dirty in there. hope to see some improvement soon. read more

My experience today at IHOP was amazing and it all started with the phenomenal customer service. The front of the house staff were very friendly, greeted with a smile. Our server Sabrina was the perfect example of Above and Beyond customer service! I made the mistake of ordering two separate entrees, but she saved me almost $10 by letting me know that my meals actually can be combined. Who doesn't like saving money! My son has food allergies and the staff made sure to keep his food safe. The omelette that I ordered (Colorado) was not over cooked which is very common in other restaurants and my Cinna-stack pancakes were out of this world! I've never experienced pancakes like that! Hands down this place has become my favorite breakfast eatery! Looking forward to trying lunch or dinner on our next visit. Thank you so much!! read more

this place is nasty! please be aware there is a new manager tayla or taylor and she is rude and unprofessional. i went for lunch on 2/2/24 and there was a fly or nat in my drink. i showed the waitress and she said sorry and replaced the drink. my child later found something black attached to his scrambled egg. when i showed the waitress and asked her what is this. she said i don't know. i said well that's not cool. i told her they would have to take something off my total because of it. when i asked for the percent off, tayla the manager was aggressive and said what do you want me to take off. making me feel very uncomfortable as if i just wanted something off of my order. i said you can ask the waitress if there was a fly in my cup. tayla the manager said, "i don't believe it was a fly in your cup because we don't have flies." they had a whole rat running in the kitchen last year and i informed the manager. they were nice and said thank you. why did we come back it seemed as if this was truly a surprise visit as they said the door was left open from the back. and their customer service for the most part made up for it. they have two spanish ladies working there now. and they both can have better service. the one lady said i did not have a fly in my cup. i said well a nat and you saw it and she quietly agreed. tayla was slamming things because she had to credit back. i ended up having to take out my phone to record her and then she changed her tune. oh and not only that it was a big busboy that kept coming by my table with my minor children with his phone. this whole experience was different and disheartening. i will be contacting the general manager on both of these girls. read more

I am an Asian from New York. Have never experienced of any discrimination in the USA. This time, hanging out with My African-American friends in this IHOP, I can't believe segregation really exists (not just in the history). We visited this IHOP at 7:30am. This place has a huge dining area. It was only few groups of ppl eating. The waitress seated us in a separated room (it's not a private dining room, just a much smaller dining room). We thought that was because we had a big group, they wanted to give us more privacy. From what I saw, all other white ppl were arranged to the large dining area. Then when a black lady came, she was seated along with us. Later on, there was a white family getting in. After the dad looked at us and said not wanna seat close to us. I went to Ihop on this dreary morning at approximately 10:00 with two of my pals for breakfast. First of all, we were there until about 12:00. Not by choice. We don't take 2 hours to eat breakfast. We were seated immediately, but didn't see a waiter for the first 30 minutes, which we spent debating whether we should leave or not. Finally the waiter came and brought our drinks and we ordered. Later on, he brought out the check. 1 check for the three of us, after we had asked him to split it. Unfortunately, he never came back so we couldn't ask him to split it. About 30 more minutes later we were finally able to wave him down to come split our check. So we spent about 2 hours at breakfast. On top of this, the menu and the prices displayed on the menu did not match what we received AT ALL. I ordered a short stack of pancakes and my buddy ordered a tall stack. The menu claimed that a short stack consisted of 3 pancakes, while the tall stack consisted of 5 pancakes. When the food came out, I received a mere 2 pancakes (not a very filling breakfast I might add), while my mate received 4 pancakes. In total, we were shorted 2 whole pancakes, but still charged for all 8. Furthermore, upon receiving our bill, we noticed that none of the prices were correct. I paid an entire extra dollar for a piece of breakfast meat (so I was therefore paying $4 for breakfast meat). Overall just poor service, misleading information, and a lengthy breakfast. We have decided that the next time we go out for breakfast in Calvert County, we will be attending Bob Evans. read more

I just love me some IHOP I go there typically and get the same thing all the time cake birthday cake something pancakes it's delicious to die for it's like being a kid all over again besides that, I'm always greeted by a manager or server by name of Jennifer mister who is the head server manager always with a smile on her face I just love her to death if you want other that I know Amanda she'd kill me if I got the spelling wrong but she knows it's me. This would have been a solid three star review, if not for the fact that the waitress stopped by our table 8 minutes after we are seated, apologized profusely and said she was slammed and would be back in a few minutes. We had our order taken at 11 minutes. The booth behind me contained two overly sugarated (is that a word? it is now) little boys who were constantly throwing their bodies against the back of the booth, knocking me forward. They also gained glee smashing their heels into the base of the booth. Highly annoying, but not IHOP's fault. Lame parenting. I ordered a mushroom and spinach omelet, my son got the Rooty Jr. They were out of grapefruit juice, I asked for orange instead. Both came out quickly and definitely hit the spot. The service was excellent after our initial wait. The coffee urn at the table had four cups of coffee in it, if I had needed more, I am sure it would have been delivered. Mama says our server and food were awesome. The only thing is the place was not as clean as I would like, but I was coming off of a hard babysitting gig and they could have sat me anywhere and I would've been happy. The place was super busy too, so there isn't always time to clean up like you need to. Our server, who was super busy, was attentive and kind. IHOP is IHOP. The pancakes are always going to be the star. My daughter did try the tres leches pancakes and of course I had to try them.... you'll thank me if you get them. The Prince Frederick IHOP is one of the best Ihop's. Great servers, food and cleanliness. You don't have to wait long even if they are busy they still manage to get you seated within 10 mins if they're packed. All the food is made fresh, good and perfectly hot. Such a HUGE disappointment !!!! At the IHOP in Prince Frederick, MD . After my husband and I placed our breakfast order. It FINALLY arrived at a minimum of 30-40 minutes later. Upon arriving most of our meal was cold, the bacon,waffles, omelet eggs over easy. Well you get the idea , We returned the food to be replaced with a hot meal , it was returned but not much difference. My omelet arrived about 10 minutes later , Go figure ! It was a horrible costly meal ! Without exaggeration ! Not to mention the cost of $40.00 for a cold BREAKFAST & a small pot of coffee. My husband spoke to the manager about the subparb service that we received. She offered very little consolation, other than to say that the next time you dine with us she's sure that it would be better. REALLY !!!! There will not be another time. That did it for us ! I took my three grand children there; all small under 6. They wanted red velvet pancakes. I am not familiar with this, so I told the waitress they wanted red velvet pancakes and chocolate milk. My husband and I got burgers. When the food came out it was a stack of pancakes about 4 I think, they each ate maybe one and a half, because it was too sweet to eat much, but got seconds on the milk. When the bill came, it was 60.00 plus tip! The waitress did not tell me that the meal would have been cheaper, that there was s small size for children, that they were all you can eat. The kids were looking for food when we got home, I could have gone for a seafood dinner and it would have been much cheaper. I was one of 3 tables in there, she should have explained my options. She even charged me 1.50 for refills on the 2 plus dollar drink. I can only believe that she wanted the tip to reflect the charges. I will never take the kids there again. A manager told an employee that had to stay late and the employee proceeded to yell and slam things at front register area. Everyone in the place heard and stared.
