I got seated right away because I sat at the bar, but then it seems they forgot about me until the manager (I think) who was helping her husband (I think) do something online noticed me. She told a server to take my order. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and was ok. My server brought the check. I went to pay and was told that they would get my server to ring me up. Why do I have to wait for my server? Isn't she busy serving?? The hostesses should be able to do that. I might be back but only because I want to support businesses on my side of town. It has a nice environment, nice customer service but what kills all the good work is at the time to order and wait for your food. If you want to go and have breakfast make sure you have at least 2.5 hours to spend at the restaurant. I don't recommend it if you want to eat fast. read more

This was a terrible visit. Hire people with common sense and people skills while you're at it. We came in and from the HUBGRUB pick up area the hostess shouts how many 2? we said yes 2 so she proceeds to seat us right by the area where food servers come in and out and it was noisy so we asked to sit in another spot and I said we don't wanna sit where we can hear dishes clanging she said that isn't where dishes are washed they are washed over there and pointed to a door. Then she tried to seat us next to another family with screaming kids. It was one of those seating areas where it is for larger parties not mixed customers in different parties. So we saw a booth that was on the other end and asked if we could sit there. She said in a snotty voice that isn't really open but sat us there anyway and then gave us dirty looks. Saphire is the hostess's name and she needs to be trained to do a proper service to a customer. Our server was up on her game until the end when we had to sit for ten minutes waiting for our bill and then had to finally ask somebody else for it. Then when it was time to pay Saphire expected us to lean over another customer trying to pay with 100.00 and they didn't have change just then and they were not moving for us to get closer to the register and she just expected we should somehow reach over into their space to give her our card. Terrible breakfast. While the service was quick and the employees were friendly, the omelette, hashbrowns, and even the soda were terrible. No carbonation in the $3.29 Pepsi and the $14.49 omelette was awful. Almost $20.00 for one person. There are much better and more reasonable choices in the area. read more

VERY SLOW! This ihop off 47th street is horrible! We sat for 20 minutes before a waitress asked us for our order, we aren't even her table. Then the food took a long time to come out, she brought out part of our order and then tells us the cook just informed her there were no bananas for the pancakes, ok strawberries only it is, and when they did come out, strawberries were on the side and the pancakes looked smashed and cold. I'm 5 months pregnant and had an hour for my lunch break. I was craving a delicious breakfast and this location was perfect. It was a weekday and there weren't that many customers in the restaurant. I ordered the pancake special and asked for shredded cheese on my hash browns. The waitress just stopped and said what? And I repeated can I get cheese on my hash browns? And she still didn't get it. So I said yes I want some shredded cheese on top of my hash browns. She repeated it and said ok? It took long for my food to get there and when it came my pancakes were cold and the toppings were already hard (caramel and cinnamon syrup). Then the cheese was on my eggs not on my hash browns. And the cheese was already melted onto my eggs. They probably microwaved it This may not be a big deal to some but I was craving cheesy potatoes like no other. The waitress never came back to check how my food was. The bill came, I paid, and I left. I check my bank account today and they charged me 3 TIMES!!!! I was livid. Just visited the new I Hop in East Palmdale. We were super excited but not a good first visit. Sunday morning, super busy. Took about 30 min to get seated. Once seated it took 10 min to take our drink order and another 10 min after that to take our food order. We all had omelettes, my wife's came out cold, my son didn't like his, said his eggs tasted funny. For me, mine was ok at best. I would much rather go to Denny's. For the price you get way more food and far Berger. Sorry not a good 1st visit. read more

The young man Manuel was the one greeting all the customers and was working front register,well he was amazing!!! The manager needs to see how hard he's working and always had a smile on his face greeting customers and taking them to their table. I'm currently sitting at ihop arrived approximately 35 min ago our server first got our drinks and literally dropped them off 5 min ago and didn't give us a straw for my daughters apple juice so I walk up to her to ask for one and she says she will bring it to us. I see her going to a different table asking if everything is okay and completely forgets about us until I go back and ask her for one and she finally handed me one. I ordered my daughters food first because I was still deciding on what to get and tell me why her food isn't ready when ours gets dropped off??? I inform her that I placed her order first so she can have hers before I get mine. Mind you I've done this at other IHOP's with no issue and she tells me that they wait until ALL the orders are in. Worse IHOP experience of my life. When we arrived there was a lot of people waiting so we expected a bit of a wait. We put our name on the waitlist and stepped outside. We waited approximately 15 minutes for a table. We were escorted to our table where the hostess rudely tossed the menus on the table and walked away. We sat down and began looking over the menu. We sat there for approximately another 15 minutes and we had not been acknowledged at all. Two different waiters walked pass us and still did not acknowledge us. We finally flagged down a waitress and asked for help. She finally came and took our order. We waited another half hour for our food and it wasn't even good. My husbands steak was rubbery and tasted microwaved. My bacon was undercooked and our pancakes were also undercooked and doughy in the middle. We didn't even bother to eat half of the food before we just paid and left. I will not be coming back here! Do not recommend. read more

First off, Service was horrible. Food took too long, other tables got their order first and they came in 20-30 minutes after us. Most of us had our food and still waited another 10-15 minutes for one more plate and still got the order wrong. Another thing, Maria never came by to let us know how long our food was going to take. Manager in charge was Eunice, was very rude. Came to ask if everyone was okay, we were telling her something and just walked off to the next table. Make sure you guys don't offer tables water and then never bring it. We had to ask several people for something and no one would bring it. Just would say, "Oh I'll let your waitress know". I wanted to take the time to put in a positive review about one of the servers today. We went in today to a packed restaurant, which was expected as it was Valentine's Day and our server, Laura, let us know ahead of time that the kitchen was backed up, and that food was taking longer than usual to come out, but that shed have it right out to us as soon as possible. She went above and beyond for us and i know it wasn't easy because you could tell everyone was slammed. I do, however, feel like I should point out the lack of professionalism displayed by management. We overheard a couple close by upset about how long it was taking for the food to come out. I felt for her, as I'm a server at a similar restaurant too, and she kept apologizing and offering all that she could, and at the end of their meal, she offered a discount for their dissatisfaction with the restaurant. They were saying some pretty harsh things about it, but she seemed to have handled it well. I on the other hand have never heard a manager approach a customer and ask where they got a coupon from that was offered to them. This manager, by the way didn't seem hospitable at all. You can hear her, on multiple occasions as I have, screaming at the employees. We heard her yelling at Laura when she sent her home after the situation. I understand they have a business to run, but that is in NO WAY acceptable behavior to display in front of customers. The job is hard enough without being screamed at in front of the clientele you're serving. I know Customers aren't always understanding, but they should always be treated as they're right. And in my experience, management should do what's best in their ability as well, to make sure they leave happy. Kudos to Laura for stepping up. So a big thank you again to Laura for giving us the best service we have ever received at ihop, you're doing awesome, keep up the good work. We recently noticed the new IHOP on 47th East in Palmdale and thought we'd try it. The food and the service was good. The waitress was friendly and the food hot and tasty. We were there before the dinner 'rush' (about 4:30PM) so the place was basically empty; may have something to do with the food and service. People were beginning to arrive as we were leaving. Our only complaint is the music was too loud. Maybe with more people in the place the music would not have seemed so loud. Good music though, so only half disturbing lol! read more

Not a good first visit. Waited about 10 minutes after being seated. When server took my order, she seemed uninterested. Waited for my salad, it came and then less than 5 minutes my dinner came. Food was cold, presentation, looked like leftovers. I had to call the server over. She asked if I wanted it microwaved or a new dinner. I asked for a new dinner It was just as bad. Tried to eat the potatoes, they were cold, instant and yucky. The turkey was not sure what. When I paid, I complained, I was asked if I wanted another meal to go. No thanks. People in Palmdale have a lot of nerves being picky about an IHOP. You bi*tch and moan for the most delicate things like a napkin not folded properly, restaurants using straws (f*uck the turtles), or your ice being too cold. I found very little faults with my last visit at IHOP. My mother had the telapia which was great considering the circumstances of the establishment not being a seafood restaurant. I had the Cali burger which was as good, if not, better than a burger from islands or Red Robin. The hostess/waitress was very friendly and attentive for the most part. The reason for the 4/5 stars is because she forgot our limes until we reminded her, she mixed up our drinks, and because she slowed her pace towards the end of our meal, but that was probably because she was the only waitress for about 6 tables. Overall, you want 5 star service/food, get out of Palmdale which is a 2 star town at best. There's a reason you come to IHOP, because chances are you're lower/middle class or because you're drunk and need a late night meal. read more
