Thank you Ryan (our server)! My sister and I were running on fumes this morning when we walked in. We were on the way to a class and needed fuel (coffee and food). I have to admit the surrounding area and parking lot were a little off putting, but I'm glad we didn't judge the Valvoline/ IHOP book by its cover. The inside of the IHOP was standard, nice, and clean. Ryan helped us find a table with an outlet (so we could get a little laptop work done) and provided EXCELLENT customer service (how often do you hear those 3 words strung together) with a personality that actually lifted our spirits! I like IHOP depending on what I get. I'm not much of a pancake girl. I never been to this location before, Its been in that area for a while. I came in one morning alone. I wanted something small too eat. I was seated right away, they weren't busy. Lots of room, everyone was spreaded out which was okay with me. The tables were clean, the entire restrurant seemed cleaned. My waiter was nice, polite and pointed me to small portions of food. My food was good, fresh and my bacon was crispy as requested. The food was greasy and they had made me and my sons milkshake horribly wrong. I had an pickup ordered and waited 25 minutes extra then the original time. The service was horrible because they told us they needed an extra 20 minutes to make the shake due to there only being 1 milkshake machine. Ordered the quick 2 egg breakfast and asked to replace the sausage with impossible meat as I've been vegetarian for years. The waiter was well aware and let me know that would be an extra charge which I said was fine no issue. They brought it out and I asked to confirm that that's the impossible, as it didn't look how impossible meat typically looks. The waiter looked me in the face and said "yes this is the impossible." I ate half of it and started getting suspicious because again it didn't taste like impossible meat. I had people at my table try it and they agreed. Then afterwards I check the receipt and it says Quick 2 egg breakfast with smoked sausage. Feeling pretty disgusted that they would lie to my face telling me that it was impossible meat when it clearly was real meat. I hadn't eaten red meat in at least 4 years prior to this. The food came out on time but the waitress only came to our table 3 times. First to take our drinks and order at the same time, 2nd to give us our food, and 3rd to give us the bill. They all ordered from the kids menu, but our bill was more than at an upscale restaurant where we had dinner. Why? It's really the little things I like about this place, like vanilla flavored creamer and how every now and then they'll give you a free refill on something that has no free refill.
