This must be a new location as they had a few trainees here. Ordered a #43 Chipotle Chicken but they made a #42 Chipotle Steak instead. We all make mistakes. Let me start by saying we usually get our Sandwiches at the Santee location. I went to the Lakeside location tonight after work. I decided to go to the Lakeside shop because there are fewer traffic lights between my office and the Winter Gardens location and I thought it might save me some time. I ordered the #8 Giant Sub with extra lettuce on half the sandwich. I wish I would have watched her make the sandwich but instead I went to pay. After the sandwich was made I asked her which side of the sandwich had the extra lettuce on it. (I normally get more lettuce on it then this without even asking for extra.) The tomatoes were spaced pretty far apart and so I asked her for more tomatoes. In her defense she did offer more lettuce but by then I was picking up a bit of attitude so I left it at that. Took my sandwich and headed home. About halfway home I realized that I had not seen her actually put the vinegar and oil on the sandwich, so I thought; no biggie, I will drive back and get some. I called to ask if she had put vinegar and oil on the sandwich and the girl that I spoke with, asked her, (turns out the girl who made my sandwich is Eva) and yes she insisted that she did put the "juice" on the sandwich. When I got home I fed my dogs and then we set down to eat our Sandwich. Guess what??? No vinegar and oil! The bread had been left in the oven too long as well. It wasn't burnt but it wasn't Jersey Mikes bread. I called to discuss the situation with the Store Manager and she insisted that she put the juice on my sandwich. By now its getting personal because its a bald faced lie. I guess the point of all this is that I'm very disappointed (for paying $20 for this sandwich) and (with myself) that I didn't go to the Santee Store. I am digging the mini! This was my first time ordering the mini submarine sandwich and In was very pleased. I had the turkey and provolone Mike's way on a mini wheat. They put a very good amount of turkey onto the sandwich and a decent amount of Provolone cheese. Actually, the amount of cheese was just right for this size sandwich. In addition to the shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and onions, I added pickles to the mix. Love the oil and vinegar on this sandwich. The wheat roll was a little dry, but much. I should of had them toast it up a bit. Service was friendly enough. The young peeps should be a little more interactive with their patrons however. read more

I always love a good consistent jersey my subs as do my kids. Although they make the subs extremely fast, during peak hours, which I would say is lunchtime, the lines can be very long. I recommend calling in the order and picking it up to avoid the lines. It's pretty small with not too many tables. I recommend taking it somewhere else to eat. They're great for a picnic, sporting events and taking to your mother-in-law's house for dinner. read more

Honestly never thought I'd be writing about a place I liked going to, however today 04/27/26 around 1:30pm I went into the store to order a sandwich and I was initially just greeted with stares and then as I stood there waiting in a empty line. The workers, mainly these two woman were just staring and whispering. I stood there for a good minute just waiting for them to finish whispering to each other. They then proceeded to laugh and then ask me what I wanted. Weird behavior. I honestly think if they were going to say something nice they wouldn't have been whispering and giggling amongst each other. I just said "actually I change my mind", they said "okay" and laughed. Took my business somewhere else. I just think it was very unnecessary and unprofessional on their behalf. Get better employees or train them not to talk about customers while they are waiting for their order to be taken with an empty line in front of them. read more

NEVER RETURNING AND CALLED 911. I went to swipe my card and after I did the employee turned off the computer. It showed "approved" on my side of the computer before powering off. Employee goes "sorry this happens sometimes" and I said ok but I just paid and I get texts when my transactions go through and it went through. She proceeded to tell me I needed to swipe my card again after showing her it already charged my card. I doubt I'm the only one they've done this to get extra money. The girl with the big fake lashes, and the manager dark featured gay boy were yelling at me that I can't take the food after I had paid. I still took the food cuz f**** this place lol. And I called 911 from outside to let them know I didn't steal anything. I have never been treated worse!!! read more

I called in my order and a very young guy answered and believe me he was totally zoned out of this world. I told him at least 4 maybe more that I wanted two number 7's. I explained over and over how I wanted one with everything and one without onions and tomatoes. I also wanted the regular size. He called me back and couldn't remember anything we discussed two minutes before. He had written down that I wanted 4 subs. I finally just lost it on him and he put a female on the line and she understood what I wanted the first time. It's only Thursday evening and they were not busy so what do they do on a busy Friday or Saturday? The food was not very good. It dry. I'm not paying $13 again for a 7" sub that was not good. I can't believe they have a 3" sub. I'm not a big eater but 7" wasn't enough for me. It's their name that draws you in but think twice before you order! read more

The (seemingly) manager who was working today was doing an excellent job managing his crew, keeping things running smoothly and was very pleasant and friendly with all the customers coming in and out of the store. If I had a business, I would want someone like him running it. I didn't catch his name but he had dark hair and was the only man working that shift. His crew was also working hard and friendly with the customers. The sandwich was really good, but what I love most is seeing employees who are doing a great job and showing they care. Every time we order the idiots do not read NO CHEESE! Then they argue that I'm wrong till they pull up the ticket and read it! Then they take their time to remake! Do not go to this Jersey Mikes location. The staff is rude and have no customer service skills. The food was horrible, I ordered a tuna sandwich and the girl literally scrapped the sides and bottom of the container to try to make my sandwich. When I asked her for to get a fresh container of tuna she refused. She did not put the normal amount of tuna on my sandwich based on my previous experience eating there. I was there at 1:40pm on Sunday 6/25 in case someone from management wants to address this with the brunette girl server. I will be going back to subway unfortunately. read more

I live in Mission Valley but work out in Lakeside from time to time and this place has the best service. They are quick, very friendly, have great personalities, and always clean. I get the Cali Club: turkey+provolone+bacon and avocado... Mikes way of course! Basically the only "PG" perfection between buns! I ordered two regular subs form this location . One of them was a cheese steak. Three hours after eating it my wife had painful diarrhea for the next several hours. I went in to order with my family of four to eat lunch. After my experience in the restaurant these employees need to be retrained and the assistant manager. Horrible customer service. I tell them I want my two number nines (and ordered two number fives) mikes way with extra juice I think that's pretty simple. I get home and my sandwiches have no juice at all, and no bacon. I only get that sandwich because of the bacon. When I got home and called the manager the gave me over to the assistant manager. She would not give me a refund unless I come back in. I said I live across town I'm not coming back to day and she said well then you don't want a refund. So I asked her name and she said she wouldn't tell me and hung up. I called back and a random employee that's not management would not give me any names and said I would have to call back tomorrow when the manager is in. He supposedly refunded my card and told me it policy that no one has to give out there name. how am I supposed to make a complaint to the manager the next day if I don't know who to refer to.
