Came into In-N-Out for a burger and grabbed my to go is the protein style. My personal favorite :)Lettuce wrap, no spread, extra pickles, extra pepper, Cheaneys, single patty. Seriously, you can't go wrong with this burger. I know there's a new trend with Cane's something about getting the bread and doing a Flying Limburg burger. Supposedly it's really good, but I stay carb-free. Just putting it out there if you try it, let me know what you think. Service is always great. Ambience is always great as well. Places always clean and well kept up.

Came here to grab this 4x4 with grilled onions and all of my Patty's mustard grilled.

Decided to tackle the legendary 4x4 from the secret menu today, and it did not disappoint! Four juicy beef patties and four layers of perfectly melted American cheese. Despite the sheer size of this beast, the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh--the lettuce was crisp, the tomatoes were ripe, and the signature spread tied it all together perfectly. It's a messy masterpiece that you definitely have to eat with two hands, but it's worth every single bite.

Usually we like this location however we're very dissappointed. We ordered two double doubles with lettuce wrap and all we got was one burger for each somewhere in the mush. I didn't give it a rating of one because we know they can do better.

Staff is great & friendly. Food is consistent. Pretty much here to post an updated menu.

#1 combo Double Double (with onion) with fries and a drink. Yummy

I love their food. I usually get the #1, no need for trying to be cool and order something off the menu trying to show off what you know. Given how expensive places are these days you can still get a combo meal for about $10. Hard to beat.

Hey I don't have to tell yall about the awesome service of In & Out or its ambiance! But I do have to tell you that they always take care of us veterans! Got a tasty burger, fries and a pink lemonade. Got a cool ass sticker too!

A huge hair included.

The concept is definitely unique. Their menu includes burgers, wraps, shawarma wraps, and street corn, with the option to add Hot Cheetos or Doritos to several menu items. I ordered the: *Doritos Grilled Chicken Breast Wrap: it comes served over a bed of French fries tossed with Doritos seasoning. The fries were flavorful, fresh, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The wrap itself was good, but I was expecting a much stronger Doritos flavor. There wasn't much of that signature taste inside the wrap, so it felt like a missed opportunity considering the concept. You can also upgrade your order with street corn mixed with Hot Cheetos or Doritos for an additional $2.99. My total, including tip, came to a little over $18. While that's a bit on the pricey side, the wrap was massive and easily enough for two meals. My food was ready in less than 10 minutes, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, it's a fun and creative concept with generous portions. I just wish they'd lean into the theme a bit more by adding more of that bold Doritos flavor to the wrap itself.

The menu is definitely built around bold flavors and fun concepts. They offer their signature Bomb…read moreBuns, Bomb Bun Bowls, loaded fries, smash beef burgers, grilled chicken wraps, and beef shawarma wraps. What really makes them stand out is their use of Hot Cheetos and Doritos throughout the menu. We decided to try the Hot Cheeto Beef Burger ($12.99), which comes with a smashed beef patty, pickles, caramelized onions, arugula, Swiss cheese, Rizzo sauce, and fries underneath the burger. I ordered mine without pickles and added avocado. Presentation-wise, it was just okay. It definitely looked better on the menu. The burger came out looking a little rushed and the bun wasn't centered. Not a huge deal, but it didn't have that wow factor I was expecting. Service was pretty transactional from start to finish. Nothing negative, but there wasn't much interaction beyond taking the order and handing out the food. As for the burger itself, I have mixed feelings. It wasn't bad at all, but it didn't quite live up to the concept. The beef tasted fresh and good quality. I really liked the avocado addition. It added a nice richness and freshness that balanced everything out. I just wish there had been more caramelized onions because they were barely noticeable. Oh and no clue where the arugula went. My biggest issue was that the Hot Cheetos didn't really do much for the burger itself. Most of that flavor ended up on the fries, so the burger never really delivered the wow factor I was expecting based on the name and photos. Ironically, the fries ended up being my favorite part of the meal. The Hot Cheeto flavor came through much more there, and I liked that there was melted cheese underneath with their signature sauce throughout. They felt more like loaded fries than a side dish and honestly stole the spotlight from the burger. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were fair. For me, it landed right in the middle. Decent, but not something I'd specifically go out of my way for again.

Why have a "loyalty program" when they add points then reverse it later that same day. I went today and ordered my usual 2 burgers, fries and drinks. I gave my phone number for the Points. I then asked Vieann H (who identified herself as the manager) when I showed her my receipt from last time I visited and questioned why they reversed the previous points and why I got none from this receipt I produced. She tried to act like it was my fault I received no points and couldn't tell me why the points were reversed from the previous visit (even after she went back in the office to do the research. She told me when came back from the office, she could see all my order history but she couldn't give me back any points from my 2 previous visits. They don't even deserve the 1 Star I had to give them.

The inside is small but not packed in, and they have A/C, which is great considering the fact that SD is going through this heat wave. There's also a nice outdoor seating area. The food came fast actually, maybe 10 minutes of waiting after the time I chose my seat. The food was nice and hot, but everything kind of lacked flavor lol. So I asked for salt and pepper. Duke's Old Fashioned Onion Burgers has become a pretty popular spot in La Mesa. Every time I've…read moredriven by, there's always a steady stream of people coming in and out, so I figured it was finally time to see what the hype was about. They also rotate fun milkshake specials, and when I visited they had an Apple Pie Milkshake that sounded really good. I just wasn't in the mood for something sweet that day. I kept it simple and ordered the Single Onion Burger ($13.95) with mayo, ketchup, and lettuce, plus an order of the Original Fries ($5.75). The onion burger is made with fresh ground beef that's smashed with onions on the grill, and you can customize it with toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapeños, cheese, mustard, and ketchup at no extra charge. Bacon is available for an additional charge. The restaurant itself was really clean, and I appreciated the self-serve condiment station stocked with ketchup, spicy ketchup, ranch, plenty of hot sauces, and to-go containers. The fries ended up being my favorite part of the meal. They're fresh cut and double fried, coming out piping hot with a crispy exterior and fluffy center. The portion was also super generous. They packed so many fries that they were spilling outside of the container into the bag. Paired with the ranch and spicy ketchup, they were honestly worth ordering on their own. The burger was a little more disappointing. The patty was overcooked, which made it pretty dry. You could even tell by the color that it had spent a little too much time on the grill. Since I usually keep my burgers pretty simple, there wasn't much to balance out the dryness, so I found myself dipping almost every bite into extra ketchup and ranch just to add some moisture. I can definitely see why Duke's is a neighborhood favorite, and I still like the concept behind their onion burgers. It just didn't completely satisfy the burger craving I walked in with. I'd come back for the fries without hesitation, and I'd be willing to give the burger another shot hoping I caught them on an off day.
