Lizzy deserves a raise. Full restaurant, and I mean FULL, screaming babies and kids, mayhem. She was the ONLY server, yet we didn't wait for our food, she still checked on us frequently, and took care of us and EVERY table with a sincere smile. I feel like I need to say something about what happened during my visit to IHOP yesterday. While I was waiting for my food, a woman ran out of the women's restroom saying there was a man in there with his pants down. She said he looked at her, and when she asked him what he was doing, he ran off. It was really unsettling. What bothered me even more was how it was handled. The employees didn't seem too concerned. The manager apologized and mentioned something about changing the locks, but that was pretty much it. No urgency. No checking the cameras. No asking if she wanted them to call the police or make a report. It just felt brushed off. As a customer sitting there watching this unfold, I didn't feel safe anymore. Something that serious shouldn't be taken lightly. I ended up getting up and leaving because the whole situation just didn't sit right with me. This is a solid breakfast spot for when you're craving some pancakes. The service is good and there's plenty of seating and parking nearby. My son loves places like this and they have a lot of the dishes he loves here. He loves a place where he can get appetizers and pancakes at the same time haha. I'll start off by saying that I Hop isn't on my top 10 list of favorite restaurants, let alone one I'd choose for a Sunday dinner. But my friend chose I hop because he and another friend go ther on special occasions. His friend wasn't available, so I went to I Hop and I'm glad I did. Ryan was our server. He was friendly, outgoing and humorous. He wore me out just watching him race around the restaurant. I ordered the BLT with extra mayo and French fries. My friend got the Philly cheese steak and onion rings. To get a better BLT would have required me to go to Mundy's Diner in Springfield OH. What makes Mundy's better is the tomatoes are sliced thicker, and I could choose my bread. I will say that I was very happy with I Hop's BLT. Quite possibly the best BLT in San Diego County. It was loaded with B, had plenty of L and a reasonable amount of T. While I would have preferred thicker slices of T I won't ding them for my personal preference. My fries were OK at best. I did like the fact that they had the skin on them, and lightly salted. They weren't hot making them a little less enjoyable I tried a couple of my friends onion rings. They were great. They were big , thick had a good coat of breading, quite delicious and much warmer than my fries. My friend said his sandwich was a bit bland. He added some A1 and was a happy camper. Because of how prices are getting so CRAZY, in today's economy, I'd have to say they had reasonable prices. The food was good and service was good so I would recommend them if you find yourself hungry in the neighborhood. I'll definitely be back to sample other menu items and try The BLT again...Ok I Hop, if you're reading this: what seperated you from 5 stars was 1)French Fries weren't hot, 2) no choice Bread on BLT 3) For that money a drink would be nic. . 4) the Senior Liver wasn't on menu- being it back. 5) Grits would be a great side option with BLT. I went here this morning for take out. I've always avoided this IHOP location due to the amount of homeless individuals that I've always seen. I didn't want my pancakes served with a side of guilt. However, I'm glad my hunger got the best of me this morning. I ordered through the app. When I arrived, it seemed they cleared out the area and my food was hot! I was able to drive it all the way back home and enjoy my hotcakes as I worked. The inside also looked clean and as of it was updated like other locations I have visited. read more

Went to this IHOP on their 58th birthday with some relatives to enjoy their 58 cent short stacks...yeaaaa! We arrived on a weekday around noon and the place was pretty packed. Nonetheless, we were seated promptly and the service was excellent! The pancakes were kind of breaking apart and not the same quality that IHOP usually dishes out, but they were still yummy in my tummy. I dig this location. Ordered Uber Eats. The preparation and delivery was supper fast the only thing I didn't like that they don't seal the package the way you know that nobody can open it before a customer gets it. I've been to IHOP several times, but this was my visit to this particular location. It's conveniently located off the 8 freeway 2nd Avenue exit. The interior decor was updated and created warm, welcoming ambiance. The customer service was good. We were promptly greeted and seated by the host. Our server was attentive, patient and friendly. The food was good. My boyfriend and I ordered the FIT egg white and vegetable omelette, which came with a side of salsa and fruit- the omelette was light and flavorful, and the fruit was sweet. We also odered a side of pork sausage, which came with (4) links. My daughter ordered her usual, Jr. Cupcake Pancake, which comes with a Jr. Cupcake pancake, egg, slice of bacon and sausage link. For drinks, we ordered the hot chocolate, grapefruit juice and tropical island spritzer. Overall, this was a good experience and I will be back to this location. read more
