Chilis is Santee is busy... all the time! Staff is usually fast and friendly but they are busy busy and have lots of tables. It's nice they have the take kiosk just in case to order and pay on. Food is okay. Always hot, but just average. It is chilis! But the chips and salsa always hit! The marg of month is hit or miss... February's was rough (way too sweet) in my opinion but it can sometimes be amazing! Worth the $6 to try it! When getting the fajitas, stick with the shrimp and chicken. The "steak" is terrible but the chicken is moist and the shrimpies are cooked perfect. Back again. We love this location. Wheelchair friendly. Always great service. Food is always delicious. Our server on Father's day was Danielle, and she was awesome. At first we thought it would be an hour before more ribs would be ready. (Devastated) we love the smokehouse combos. But Danielle suprised us and somehow we got our ribs super fast! Yay! The mac n cheese was quite thin and watery but it did have a strong cheesy flavor. The jalapeño sausage was excellent and we both chose a different quesadilla so we could try the brisket And the chicken bacon ranch. Both were very good. I usually don't give Chili's three stars. But once in a while when I come to this location, I'll have a bad experience. First of all, I wanna say the time we went, but it wasn't that busy. It was around 12:30. We were sitting in the bar area. I usually get the mushroom Swiss burger. Sometimes I'll get a salad with it. I ordered a side salad. To my surprise, Chili's is pulling really tight on their salads a salad that they charge you $7.50 for but really the sound that they gave out was worth like four dollars. The food was good as usual. Sometimes it's great sometimes it's good. In the server, she's usually good. She wasn't too great today. She only came by our table twice. Came in today for lunch service was super fast and friendly, they opened the front door for us took us to a table took our drink order drinks were there SECONDS later and it was CORRECT (I like lemon in my water and my friend likes it for her soda 8 times out of 10 they just bring water/ soda no lemon) Marcella was our server she was very attentive and friendly. This is by far my favorite Chilis location in San Diego. The staff are great. The food is fresh. I ordered over the phone the 3 for $10.99 deal and it was ready to pick up in less than 15 minutes. When I got there, a young lady with a vibrant personality assisted me as well as her manager, Jessica who was also very kind. The food was great. Had a very nice lunch recently at Chili's in Santee! Sitting in the bar area is always a fun vibe and everything was nice and clean. The service was reasonably friendly, timely and efficient. I noticed the new Ziosk device is a smaller form factor now and much less tacky and obtrusive than before. I was really impressed by their Hand-Battered Chicken Crispers! If you're a fan of the venerable fried chicken tender, this one is an absolute standout. Plus, it comes with your choice of two dipping sauces. I ordered it as a "Crispy Chicken Crispers Combo" which comes with fries and white cheddar mac & cheese. What truly flummoxed me was how terrible the mac is! It was truly awful. Just a sad, soupy mess. A combo platter like this would be much better with a side of crispy, cool coleslaw or something. This location is really chill if you're ever in the Santee area. It's located in a really large shopping center so there's ample parking. We didn't have any wait at all for a table for 4 on a Saturday afternoon. It was quiet with only a few tables occupied. The restaurant was clean and so was the women's restroom which is always important to me. They have some really great lunch menu items that are super cheap and generously portioned. All of our food was really good. It's of course the same Chilis food you're used to...It's pretty heavy, It's pretty fried, but it was delicious.
