This time he was waiting on booths, where we were sitting plus a group of 12 (12!) seated after us. Michael was swamped and there no way he could keep up. He had no support from other employees and it was obvious they did not have enough servers (they had a bunch of bus people, mostly standing around). The floor was chaos and not once did I see a manager come out to access and help. Our food came out piece meal with items missing. We knew we were not getting refills because at that point Michael's total concentration was getting food and drink orders from the 12 top and making drinks. Michael came by and was extremely apologetic and we assured him it was not his fault. We all used to work in the business and knew where the fault fell. Management! As we exited there were numerous open tables with at least 20 people waiting to be seated. We were glad to get out of the chaos. I sent a review through First Watch's internal comment section but was ghosted hence the Yelp review. She was both the hostess and our server, and she absolutely nailed it. Friendly, attentive, and professional without ever hovering.
