We had a craving for some crabs, this place was perfect. We got a dozen large crabs and some fries. The crabs were well seasoned and very meaty, sooo good. Definitely worth our visit. The service was good. If your looking for a good crabs in a chill vibe, I recommend this spot.

Came here for Mother's Day and I'm already planning my next trip back. My mom and I were both not crazy hungry, so we shared #4 combo for $55 which has a crab cake, two sides, and I think 3 or 4 crabs. Wow was it good, the corn was fresh and delicious with their melted butter. The crabs were meaty and seasoned perfectly. We both did not love the crab cake, but I am not a huge crab cake person so take that with a grain of salt. The service was super friendly. I did not know they had melted butter out for anyone to grab, so I asked for some and the employee who helped me came out from behind the counter and poured me some, which was so nice. The drinks here are also only $6 for an orange crush, which is almost unheard of for this area. The outside seating makes me feel like im at the beach, and definitely made the experience even better. I also think they have a drive thru which is really cool. Cannot wait to come back!

Service was friendly and the food was absolutely perfect. Fresh crab cakes done exactly the way I like them, without any nonsense and let the crab shine! Would be back many times if we lived in the area. Great place and great food.

The build your own boil is excellent. Large shrimp, well seasoned and great price. Also $6 crushes all day long. The hush puppies are also excellent.

Visited here a few days ago. We ordered jumbo crabs (which weren't jumbo), seafood boil , orange pomegranate crush and clam strips. The crabs were ok I've had better and bigger. The jumbo were $125 which was a good price but the size just didn't match the price. The crab legs were extremely small as well. The clam strips were so good and the crush was too. Customer service was good overall but most likely won't be returning.

We got a crab boil to go and all the seafood (snow crabs, shrimp, muscles, and crawfish) were dried out and fishy, it almost tasted reheated. We've heard good things about crab shack, so I'm hoping it was just a fluke.

Our waitress was sweet, but seemed very much overwhelmed. I can understand, as they seemed genuinely understaffed for the quantity of patrons that they were serving. Great crab ratio & also the bread was freshly baked! I ordered the seafood platter which came with coleslaw, fried fish, a crabcake, french fries & a fried lobster . Very flavorful and also everything was cooked to perfection! It was a nice medley! I enjoyed my meal and my time here. I do want to re-visit to try more items from the menu in the future. Cheers!

We settled into our table and were welcomed by Shannon, our server. (There was a little confusion about this, but it straightened out.) The restaurant is bright and separated from the well-stocked bar. I had a Sagamore rye neat, and B ordered a glass of the Rioja. If there are oysters on the menu, you know I'll order them. There was a pretty good selection, and I opted for a half dozen Rappahanock oysters. They were excellent, sweet and briny. We each ordered a Caesar salad, but Shannon advised us that it was large enough to be shareable. More than enough. B ordered the pasta with clams, and I choose the Seafood chowder. The chowder was delicious, but B found the pasta to be too peppery for her tastes. Worse, three of the clams were unopened. We brought this to Shannon's attention, and she offered to put in a new order, but B demured, as she was full. At this point, Owner John Hogan came over to the table to chat. He told us the clams would be taken off the bill, and gave us a gift card, hoping we'd return. He stayed at our table for nearly 30 minutes, and we had a wonderfully engaging conversation with him. We will definitely be going back.

Ordered a Caesar salad tossed with bacon, because if you're not putting pork in your salad, what are you even doing? Cold, crisp, dressed like it was taking headshots for its modeling portfolio. Then the cream of crab soup showed up -- thick, seasoned, real chunks of crab, not that mystery-flake stuff. It was the kind of soup that makes you stop mid-conversation and reevaluate life. Washed everything down with an orange crush, which went down so easy it should come with a seatbelt. But the real star of the whole visit was Nikki behind the bar. Let me be clear: Nikki ran that bar like NASA counting down to a launch. Full bar of people, drinks flying, food landing, and somehow she made it feel like I was the only one sitting there. Every empty glass was just a short-term inconvenience. Every ask was handled before I even finished the sentence.

I started with the steak wedge salad, which was really tasty--the bacon had a slightly sweet flavor that stood out and complemented the dish nicely. For my entrée, I went with the tomahawk pork chop and a loaded baked potato. The pork chop was cooked well and had great flavor overall, though it leaned just slightly on the salty side. Still very enjoyable, especially paired with the potato. Where things really took off was dessert. Our table ordered a few to share--the brownie, chocolate cake, and crème brûlée cheesecake. The brownie was easily my favorite: rich, soft, and topped with caramel sauce alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Definitely the standout of the night. Service from Eli was good--friendly and helpful. I would have appreciated a bit more check-ins throughout the meal, but nothing that took away from the experience. During a visit about a over a month ago, I observed an interaction between a manager and an employee that felt uncomfortable to witness. From a customer perspective, the tone came across as harsh and seemed more appropriate for a private conversation rather than one happening in front of staff and guests. On a more recent visit, I became concerned after overhearing multiple staff members discussing cleanliness-related issues while I was dining. As a customer, hearing those types of conversations during a meal was unsettling and raised concerns for me about overall food safety and sanitation. I want to be clear that I am only sharing what I personally experienced and overheard during my visits. However, as someone with severe allergies, trust in food handling and cleanliness is extremely important to me, and these experiences made me uncomfortable. Because of this, I felt it was appropriate to bring these concerns to the attention of the appropriate authorities so they can be properly reviewed. I hope management takes the opportunity to evaluate both customer experience and internal practices moving forward, as both staff and guests deserve a safe and respectful environment.
