I could not get past the onion rings on the starter menu hoping they would taste as good as they looked. My friend offered to split the Slammin Salmon sandwich and onion rings since she has had it before and never finished the entire thing. I took her up on it and the order was placed. A quick ask for mom to grab it on the way home and the food made its way back quickly. WOW is all I can say. When you order food to go there is a level of expectation that it will not be as good as it is at the restaurant, especially fries and onion rings. But in this instance WOW. Talk about food that travels well. Fourteen minutes away and the food was still warm, the onion rings were so crisp, and the garlic and dill aioli and onion ring sauce were just right. The Slammin Salmon was served on ciabatta bread that was not too soft not too hard, with salmon cooked perfectly. The lemon dill aioli was a game changer so much that my friend's advice to order extra was well received and committed to memory. Once I got home, I took two bites of the lasagna and couldn't tell if it was actually made in house with absolutely no seasoning whatsoever, or if it was pulled straight from a freezer and reheated. Either way, it was impressively bland. The pizza wasn't much better. It was light on sauce, light on flavor, and required me to add my own spices just to make it taste like something. For $29 for lasagna and a medium cheese pizza, I expected at least one of the two items to have some flavor. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Needless to say, I won't be returning.
