To be clear, this review is only for the Pasadena/Glen Burnie location on Route 2 near Marley Station. The menu is different, the food is cooked differently (not as good), and our waiter was worse than we are accustomed to from this diner. What a shame, it used to be our go-to place. In town visiting family for the weekend and stoped here for dinner Friday night. Service was fast, portions were huge and staff super friendly! My mother got the French dip and I bet it was a footlong -"and came with a cup of soup, fries and coleslaw... she could barely eat half. I got a cheeseburger, fries (double because I didn't want any soup) and coleslaw. That burger was so delicious!! We went back today for breakfast and everything was delicious. This is the best in town so far! I'm so glad we finally made our way here for breakfast/lunch. Parking is a bit cramped but doable. We walked in and met the hostess. The hostess was dressed like she seats people at a Michelin star joint. She was efficient and sat us quickly. Our waitress had everything memorized, our cups were always full, and she was super nice. My husband had the club and I had a huge breakfast platter. Everything was amazing. So much food. The Bloody Mary was great. We were very happy with everything and we will be back soon. read more

If my kids won't eat the food, you know it's terrible! The kids quesadilla was so dry that my four year old wouldn't eat it. The kids chicken tenders were so old that I couldn't cut it with a knife. The tenders were rubbery. My husband's corned beef hash was so soggy that he had to eat it with a fork and couldn't pickup the sandwich with his hands. The cookies the kids got at the end of the meal were so hard they couldn't eat them. When I brought these issues up, the waitress made it seem like this was just part of the experience. Needless to say, we will likely not be back and not be recommending this diner to any of our friends in the area. If the staff isn't even willing to address the issues, then there is a serious underlying problem here. read more

Visited the Double T Diner following a weekend stay in Kent Island at the end of April. I had never been before, and our group of 12 came here at the recommendation of someone within the group who had been previously. The restaurant is quite large, and has a private lot to park in. We visited on a Sunday morning, and even with such a large group we were seated quickly on walk-in party. Our table was located in what felt like an overflow area, which was no problem. We were greeted by our waitress fairly quickly and got drink orders in. I ordered a water and a coffee, but it took asking twice to get my coffee. The food menu is extensive. I honestly do not know how they supply all of these dishes from one kitchen. So, it took me a while to look over the menu. I decided on the Double T Breakfast Special with French Toast, and subbed the Home Fries for Grits. My fiancé got the Shrimp Club with Potato Salad. We also got the Crab Nachos to try, as that was a unique menu item we could not get at home. Overall, the food was alright. It truly was nothing special, and somewhat expensive for the quality. On the menu, it said that the Crab Nachos came with salsa and sour cream, which we never got. I am not sure if that was a mistake or the menu was incorrect. We did not get to tell the waitress about the issue, as she was not coming around that often, given the busyness of the place. I am not sure if I would recommend this place, especially if just visiting the area. The food was very average, and at above-average prices. We spent this past weekend in Annapolis for a wedding and decided on the Double T Diner for breakfast on Saturday. It was a less than 10 minute drive from state street circle and extremely worth the trip. My wife had the oatmeal with fresh blueberries, pecans and cinnamon. I had the Western Omelette with scrapple . It was so good that we went back again on Sunday and had the same. The service, food, cleanliness and management are excellent! We highly recommend the Double T Diner and look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Annapolis. read more

I can't believe I have lived in Annapolis for eight years but had never been to the Double T. I met a group there on Friday evening. They gave us a nice corner booth. Our server's name was Jamie. She was friendly and SO efficient. The place was very busy. Our group ordered a variety of items: senior salmon plate, chicken pot pie, matzoh ball soup, pasta, burger, mac n' cheese. Everyone was happy with their choices. They were willing to give us separate checks. You pay at the register up front. I purchased a can of coffee. Great spot. I've visited twice now and I can say that the food and the service was not bad. Plenty of choices on the menu. I recommend Double T! They had zero shame serving a slab of gristle and fat and call it "prime rib" -- which I sent back -- then had the audacity to splice off the sides and charged me for those bc I "mostly consumed them". Been here twice. Always clean and great service. Our waiter was Caesar. He was amazing. Prompt, patient and friendly. My only complaint was that my cream of crab soup seemed a bit too thick like gravy and lumpy. I have a new favorite diner! My wife and I are big fans of diners in general; they're great places that offer a lot of options to cater to most any taste. There are things that set them apart from others, usually food quality, service, cleanliness, location. This one is ideally situated at a busy intersection just down the street from the Annapolis Town Center. I'm not sure if this place is relatively new or not - it feels like a Silver Diner on the inside: lots of chrome, plenty of seating and the layout is similar to SDs I've been to in the past. SD is pretty good, we've been known to frequent them from time to time if we get a hankering to eat breakfast out. We actually were talking about breakfast spots recently as we'd hit up an IHOP not far from our house. I remember a time when IHOP was THE spot to go to for breakfast. Pancakes the size of dinner plates, generous portions that weren't just filler, etc. Our last visit it was just OK. These days, I feel like I need better than just ok when it comes to filling my stomach; not just about the money but also how good it actually was. So we were out doing a bit of shopping and I felt peckish; as it was still morning I figured we should try the diner we always pass on our way out of Annapolis. They have their own lot so we parked, walked in and were immediately seated. The place was a little over half full at 10am, about what you'd expect at a good diner on a Saturday morning. It started filling up almost immediately after we were seated - a good indication. We had a really on-point waitress and I hate that I forgot her name, but I still remember her. Kindly, very efficient, and friendly. She took our orders after refilling our coffee cups and the food came out quick. The eggs were cooked perfectly as was the rest of the dish. We like our bacon crispy and a lot of diners will drop your bacon into the fryer rather than taking the extra time on a flat. Not these guys - you can always tell the difference, but the bacon we got was crispy, not burnt, and not deep-fried. The potatoes were exactly what you'd expect - I would've preferred them scattered with peppers and onions but they were very good nonetheless. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal and experience; we found our diner so we'll be back! read more

I went to Double T while in Pasadena a few weeks ago. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they were very good with enough for another meal. I also ordered a chocolate cream pie and got a slice of banana cream pie to take home for later. I remembered them from my childhood many years ago. Homemade, creamy, flavorful with homemade whipped topping. The best pies ever made. I was completely and totally disappointed. First off they were not CREAM pies but more of a MOUSSE with no taste. The banana had a whole piece of banana about 3" long in it. The topping on both pies was rubbery and tasteless and definitely not homemade, good old Cool Whip would have been better. I don't know where you're getting your pies from but I would definitely consider a new source, one that knows how to bake. Sometimes it pays not to chase a long ago memory and just remember how it used to be. So sad. read more

I am so disappointed. We used to have a double T in Frederick. We were in the area the area and had to visit our Double T! I ordered my "usual" shrimp salad but thought I would try the platter. The coleslaw was inedible. The shrimp was meh, a little cottony-if that makes sense and the potato salad had a strong preservative like taste. The lettuce was slight and yellow. What makes me sad is I remember this place over the past 20 years and my experience today was completely different. Furthermore the bathroom was so very dirty. I am praying the kitchen is cleaner. I love a good diner!! And double Ts has it going on! Any time I can get breakfast for lunch or dinner I am in! Give me some sunny side up eggs toast bacon biscuits and gravy and don't get your fingers too close or you may lose them. Double Ts is a dinner on steroids. It is big, flashy, and awesome! Their menu is huge... lots of options no matter if you want breakfast, lunch or dinner foods. They have a menu so prolific it can be hard to make a choice. This is my second time coming to a Double Ts and I wish they had one of these near my home. However the first time was just so magical that this time paled a bit in comparison. Our server was just not as good and not as on top of things. The food was still off the hook!! But the overall experience was down graded due to a lesser service standard. While I am happy they were able to accommodate a table of 13 for a late breakfast, I did not enjoy my time here. Among our group there were mixed opinions on the quality of the food. Personally, I did not like the lumberjack breakfast I got (while I am usually a fan of sausage and gravy). The dish arrived lukewarm and became cold very fast. It very quickly felt like a rock in my stomach from what I ate. The general consensus of the table was that the home fries were not home fries. Instead, they were thinly sliced, unseasoned potato disks. Hot sauce couldn't save them. It was very odd to me how many ads were around the restaurant. There was a placemat of ads at every seat and the bathroom stalls also had ads on their doors. I think if we ever came back, we'd only try the pie or pastries from their cabinet because the display looked good. read more

This weekend we got takeout - selected by an 8 yo for her birthday - and I have to report you really get a lot of delicious food for your money. We ordered a lot of meals by phone - (maybe 9 or 10 meals?) - and it was quickly ready for pickup - and they did not make any mistakes w the order. I ordered the eggplant parm which was a lot of food. It came w soup, garlic bread, pasta and sauce, and a very large portion of eggplant parm. Overall it was a great meal and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. We also got some extra red sauce and my italian mother, who makes a mean homemade red sauce, approved. Members of our group also ordered and enjoyed the chicken parm, turkey club, pastrami rueben sandwich, open face meatloaf sandwich, among other meals. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. The food was delicious and filling! The restaurant gives a big portion, so come hungry or bring some home! The desserts were so beautiful that I wanted to look at them all day! Needed some oatmeal to take to my mother-in-law who needed to eat prior to her doctor's appointment. In the car, I mixed the butter and sugar in and we got it to her while it was still warm. She said it was delicious and was able to drink it down to be ready for her treatment. Another nearby restaurant did not have oatmeal on their "full breakfast" menu. My food may have been good if they changed the grease last month or two. My food was dark brown because the grease had not been changed. I was scared to each that. Maybe the goats out back want it. Don't order turkey sausage. It may have been a fat turkey hot dog but it was not sausage. They will dispute you down but by now, don't we know the difference between sausage and hotdog meat? Did they think I was going to eat those dark dingy onion rings? I think the cleaning lady had to cook that day. Last time I ate here was pre-covid and I always got breakfast which was great. Tonight we ordered the cream of crab soup which came out looking like extra thick nasty gravy. My Greek salad with grilled chicken was good. We also ordered chicken tenders which were real thin and nothing to write home about. The macaroni balls and fried avocado were down right nasty. The chicken soup was decent, but nothing special. If I had to eat here again, I would only order breakfast or a salad. I would suggest management cut their menu items down to about 30% of the items and perfect them.
