Good West Annapolis pizza! Wife & I enjoyed it. Generous portions of ingredients and lots of color- the more colors on pizza the healthier. Service was friendly- a little uncertainty upon entering our first time. The lady sat us and service was timely, courteous/ respectful and she was trying to be friendly but we could tell it might have been her first day. She was nice. The inside area was very clean and presents as open areas on ceilings and comfortably arranged seating area and bar. I got the impression HH was only at the bar- not crazy about that rule. Kinda puts a limit on who gets to be comfortable during HH. Just saying... I like the place if things change I will change my rating. I very rarely leave reviews, but this was the worse Chinese food I have ever had! To start with, they forgot to give me the Imperial Rolls I ordered and paid for. The Chicken Chow Mein was flavorless and there were only small finely diced pieces of Chicken. The Pork Fried Rice was also flavorless, with next to no meat. It was the worst meal I have had served to me in a while. The restaurant was a mess , food was wilted, old and not fresh. The menu was a difficult to understand and service personnel inexperienced. Maybe were got there at a bad time, 5:30 pm, but the place was almost empty which have given us a clue as to the quality of food. I ordered here via the app for myself and three others. I had a tight window of of time to do so. I ordered three of the Chicken + rice bowls, one of which was customized, and a Greek salad. All of the food came out correct. It was not quite done when I got there, but it was done before the time I was given. They also kept me updated via text messages to let me know when it would be ready. The food was delicious. Corinna built our bowls for us and was super helpful with recommending the best meats and sauces for a first-time Cava customer (myself). I came around noon on a weekday and there was an average lunch crowd. Service was still smooth and the slight wait gave me time to look over the options. I choose the steak bowl with almost every veggie addition and the harasa sauce ( 6/10 on the heat scale). Food was fresh and tasty however the portions were small. The lemonades were great I had blackberry lemon and plan to go back for the strawberry melon. The store was clean when we arrived but looked like it was hard for staff to keep up with cleaning tables with the lunch crowd. The parking lot is tricky and fills quickly. While I was out running errands, my mom said she was hungry and Cava was nearby. I've eaten at a Cava before, so I had base knowledge of the overall vibe and offerings, but this was my first time at this specific location. I ordered a honey harissa chicken bowl with supergreens and my mom got what I *think* was lamb over basmati in a bowl. The portion sizes were good which I think was a blessing given how much it was ($40 for two people including drinks and a side of pita chips). The food tasted fresh, the veggies were vibrant and cut through the richness / fattiness of meat and toppings, and they definitely don't skimp on seasoning their food. The reason this isn't a 5 star is because the location could have been a little cleaner in the seating area and the pita chips, while crispy and delicious, did taste like they had been sitting for a little bit before we bought them -- not a huge gripe as we came in around lunch and they were probably just preparing for a rush, which is understandable, but still a minor disappointment. Overall, this was a solid visit and I'm happy there's a fast casual option nearby that serves something that isn't burgers and fries. read more

It was my first time eating there.The food was good. I ordered a build your own with a Strawberry Citrus drink. The drink was really good. The place reminds me of Chipotle. The service was great. I didn't have any problems ordering or checking out. There was line to order but it was too long. It wasn't busy. There is outdoor seating was nice. We're now on a low sodium, low fat, heart diet and got stuck at lunch time outside of our home. Cava rescued us with its lemon chicken bowl. It was delicious and had lots of toppings to fill you up, and when ordered online, was in the take out section on time. My only complaint was that 2 salad and 1 drink cost me 30 dollars. Cava is delicious, but this location leaves a LOT to be desired. My BIGGEST gripe with them is messing up to go orders. I placed a big order online and one of the bowls was made wrong. When I contacted Cava to replace the bowl that was messed up - I received a $6 credit, which will cover like, 1/3rd the price of my order. What a joke. How hard would it of been to comp a returning customer a meal because of YOUR error? Not coming back here, and officially over the Cava hype. An overall terrible experience to say the least. The employee, Amanda, was very unprofessional and rude. My bowl was taken to the back to add ingredients and when I asked for less rice due to dietary restrictions, she became enraged and full of attitude. She also threatened me saying she would "smack the shit out of me" and fake-rushed behind the counter as if she was going to approach me. Very deplorable and I'm looking forward to a follow-up. These types of experiences are a horrible reflection of the brand. I am an avid Cava consumer; however, this was my first time at this location, and I have never experienced anything like this before in a Cava establishment. One thing you'll find in most of all the negative reviews is they start with "the food was good". I guess that's good enough for me. I haven't had any experience with poor customer service. The kids that work there are always exceedingly nice to the point where I end up trying to give them a tip (they have to refuse, what's up with that, corporate?) It's May 2022 and every business is essentially short staffed. Take it easy. They've got kitchen people trying to work the line. I don't want to discount other people's experiences, I just haven't once seen the poor service in my dozen visits. read more

Worst Cava experience ever. We love Cava but this branch continues to disappoint. Walked in at 4 pm yesterday planning to order three bowls. The only green available was romaine. We were told "it's Sunday". Dressings weren't put on the correct bowls. Dressings had to be put on the bowls bc they had no to go cups for the dressing on the side. If you look past the hygiene issues, Cava is just OK. There was food on the floor, and none of the tables were cleaned in the 30 minutes we were there. The bathrooms were disgusting As for the food, the staff was unsure about what to do; it appears that two of the people working the line were either new or untrained. The lentils were undercooked. I went to the recently opened CAVA in Annapolis. I hoped that the negative reviews reflected that it had newly opened. The food tasted good and the servers seemed okay. That's where the positives end. There was a thumbtack in my Greek salad bowl!!!! I immediately felt it it my mouth. I'm relieved that it didn't cut me or that it wasn't swallowed! The manager was very apologetic and reimbursed me. However, despite my suggestion that they first inspect the food, they continued to serve a long line of customers. I don't understand how a thumbtack can fall into food and not be noticed and removed. This never happened to me in over 50 years of restaurant outings. Cava used to be one of my casual dining go tos, but my last 3 visits have been awful. For the first two were long lines, little staff, and a messy dining room, but the food was up to their normal standard. Today, however, I was there around 6:30 pm. There was almost no line. Four people behind the counter and at least one more in the kitchen (visible through the window). Almost all of the containers on behind the counter were almost empty and things were not being refilled. I ordered a pita and after the dips were scooped on the pita, the young man behind the counter grabbed 2 spatulas to spread mine and the person after me's dips on their pita and he put mine directly on the service counter before using it to spread the dips. I then asked for harissa chicken (which still had what looked like a serving and a half in the container) and he called back to the kitchen to find out when more would be available-that person said 10 minutes, but he told me it would be "a minute." I order braised lamb instead. When it came time for the toppings, the woman that was working that station was inconsistent with how much she put on of each and then drowned the pitas in the requested dressing. She did not give us the option to dine in and instead asked if we wanted a bag with our food. When we tried to find a place to sit in the restaurant (where only one other group was sitting), every tabled was covered in grease and other food products. We decided to eat at home and the food left me feeling sick to my stomach. I plan to avoid this location for a while and I recommend that you do the same. read more
