I've had the turkey avocado sandwich and the green goddess salad, both solid choices. My daughter usually goes for the pizza and enjoys it every time. We come here every once in a while, and the consistency is there. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. It's clean, not too loud, and works whether you're eating in or just stopping by to grab something and go. Service is solid. You order, things come out pretty quick, and the staff is friendly without overdoing it. One thing I will say is Newk's is one of the cleaner eating options in the area. I hope to revisit and increase the star rating. My Chili was delivered lukewarm. It barely had any beef in it. Barely any beans. I basically got a bowl of tomatoes with a few beans in it and beef that look like was run through a blender. I was lucky if there was an ounce of beef in the chili. It looked nothing like its pic on the wall. See my pic. The toppings they provide did not come with the advertised cilantro. The other advertised condiments were only half filled in their cups and they were not enough I mean seriously I got about two thumbnails worth of cheese. And it was expensive enough to warrant a normal bowl of chili. On the positive side, my half sandwich of avocado and turkey was good. And before anyone says that should've talked to the management that wouldn't have been possible. I don't think there were any more than three people working here on a busy Saturday in December and there was always a long line. I wasn't going to get back in line and wait 15 minutes for something that should have been done right. read more

I was craving something semi-healthy for lunch but still wanted pizza, so I finally tried Newk's. It's a cute, cozy sit-down spot where you order at the counter and then grab a seat. I ordered online and went with the pizza pairing and house salad. I originally ordered the pepperoni and sausage pizza, but the staff accidentally made it all sausage. I let who I believed was the manager know, and he was super accommodating. He told me to keep the sausage pizza and had a fresh pepperoni and sausage one made on the fly. He also remembered that I had asked for Parmesan with the first one and made sure I had it for the new pizza too. I love when people pay attention to the little things. Even with the mix-up, they turned it into a great first experience. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was really good, and I'll definitely be back to try more. read more

This place is a little hidden gem. Didn't even know they were there. Bright and clean inside with a very friendly staff. We had the Chicken Salad Sandwich, the Club Sandwich and their signature "Newk's Q" Sandwich as well as Lobster & Crab Bisque and Cream of Crab soup. All were amazing. So were the side dishes. I've never had a bad meal here. The sandwiches are delicious. As are the salad and soups. So many options to mix and match. This place is 100x better than other places that offer mix and match because they make real food, with actual real ingredients. You can tell the difference. A former student of mine took me to Newk's the first time I went. I'd never heard of it so I didn't have any real expectations. i got their chicken salad sandwich and I loved it. Although it's my "go to" 90% of the many times I have been there now, I have deviated a couple of times and gotten one of their salads, which has also been very good. The manager at the Crofton location, which is the one I go to, could not be any nicer. The girls who have been working on the register nearly every time I've been there are also very pleasant and happy. Newk's is a good 40 minutes from my house, but it's worth the ride because the food is consistently good. I also like how they have someone regularly walking around picking up trays, plates, drink cups, etc as you finish. Underwhelmed to say the least. Friendly service but I was misinformed about the menu which changed the whole experience for me. I was told that the southern salad came with grilled chicken. Nope it was their version of Chicken Salad Chick's Chicken salad. I thought was getting Salad with grapes walnuts but that's in the mixture for the chicken salad. They were kind to change it but it was just a grilled chicken salad w/o grapes or walnuts. Also their self serve menu was void of the watermelon and feta salad but the main menu had it.
