The restaurant had no one sitting inside but several people came to pick up orders. Wanted something comforting and fresh. Ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich and the chicken samosa. The food was old, from the vegetables to the meat. Dried out chicken, very salty and not pleasant at all. I just tossed everything in the trash after trying it. Opening the sandwich you can tell that the vegetables weren't fresh at all. Not sure if it was an off day but left here very disappointed. read more

Lamb was very dry, with far too much strong spice (clove I think), couldn't taste the meat. Bread equally dry, tasted like frozen warmed up. Sides bland, baba ghanoush had little flavor. Sauces for meats are on display for self service. Tasted as if they came out of a bottle. We love middle eastern food, flavors can be terrific. The Lebanese Taverna in Washington DC is full service and good. We mistakenly thought the Annapolis one had a similar concept and quality of food and flavor. Not so. It may work for some, but not for us, we won't go back. read more

We found Leb Tav during covid and absolutely love the food. There's something for everyone in our family. The meats are rich and tasty and our vegan loves all their choices too. Lebanese food is comfort food for us with warm house made flatbread, humous, soup, and "you pick" plates where we choose what we want. The party/family platters make for a great middle of the week, "fix it yourself" meal. Leb Tav makes it fresh and everyone stuffs their own pita with what they like. Yes, the Annapolis location went through a bumpy period with a staff & management change, but Jorge(we love him) has turned the place around. He always offers a smile and great food. Talk to the staff...they are nice folks! The ingredients are fresh. The service is fast. And! The flavors are far superior to the other 2 "Middle Eastern" chains in town. read more

I can't say I've ever had a bad meal here! I usually get the Taverna Platter, which is your choice of protein (beef shwarma... yum...), salad, rice, hummus, and bread. I typically clean my plate, though sometimes it takes some effort. They don't short you on food! Their prices aren't too bad. You can get a meal there for under ten buck and it will be more than ample. A couple of bucks more and you're stuffed to the gills. My only real complaint is that their soda fountain hasn't been working lately. For a while now, though. Maybe it's for COVID reasons? But at any rate, your beverage options are more limited now. That's okay, though; the food is where it's at anyway. Great food, lovely cuisine, friendly staff, and an overall great meal. What's not to love?! read more

To be honest, I don't eat Mediterranean food often, but I do love falafel! Our office ordered from here for lunch one day and I got the falafel salad to be healthy. I did enjoy my salad and I thought they portioned the falafel well. It didn't seem like too much nor too little. They give you pita bread with your order, and I figured since there wasn't really all that many carbs in my salad, I could treat myself to some pita too. I was trying out the different sauces and dips they gave and when I realized there was garlic butter, my diet went out the window! I had about 2 1/2 pieces of their pita bread and went to town on that butter. It was amazing!! And their pita bread is not tiny by any means. The complimentary pita bread and butter deserves 5 stars x10000000 in my book! I'd be fine going there and just eating that as my meal. read more

Just had the hummus with four falafel (not sure if it was a bowl, but it came in a bowl). Topped it with two stuffed grape leaves. On top of the hummus being the most delicious hummus I've ever had, the grape leaves were a top taste for me too!! I've never ordered them here, but they are always served as rolled-up tight and filled with pretty mushy rice in my experience (in a kinda good way). Lebtav's were clearly hand made - loosely rolled, fresh rice, chic peas and great spices. If all that wasn't enough to delight my taste buds, the bowl came with pickled onions, radishes, grilled tomato wedges and some other little veg treats, and of course, the best bread ever. I just want to ask if Lebtav hired a new executive chef....because the quality of the food is much better than I've experienced...alway great, but now, terrific!! read more

Kind of hole-in-the-wall because of how hidden it is (right across from the Chuck E. Cheese) but so good! I split the Lebanese Feast with my friend (sampler of 12 mezza items) and it was SO delicious. Great flavor and portions of everything. Our cashier was really nice and our food came out relatively quickly. The restaurant is kind of small and there didn't seem to be a whole lot of business on a weekday during late lunch but they were filling lots of to-go orders so I think they're popular on food delivery apps (rightfully so). There were some crumbs on our table but I don't think they're used to people dining in honestly. Overall, I definitely recommend dining here and I will be back for more! read more

This place is so hit or miss. Either the Chicken or Beef Shawarma is amazing, or the meat is hard and inedible. Its like sometimes they cook the meat fresh, other times its 3 days old that they have continued to reheat. Great lunch spot when it is fresh, terrible lunch spot if its not fresh, you'll have to buy a second lunch somewhere else. Not sure why the consistency is so off. read more

I had the pick your platter with the beef shwarma, chicken samosa, tabouleh, spiced rice, and hummus. The food came with bread and multiple unknown sauces that were delicious. The shwarma, tabouleh, and hummus were well seasoned though the first two were a bit too salty. It was a delicious and big meal. We ate in and the restaurant closed of some tables for social distancing. Appreciated it!! read more

I'm surprised this place has only 3 stars. My wife and I love Lebanese food but don't come across it too often around here. We searched for a Lebanese restaurant for our anniversary this year, and Lebtav came up. I recognized it as part of the chain and figured we would give it a shot. It was FANTASTIC! Granted, we got take away since it's Covid times so the appearance of the place didn't matter to us. It's a cafe style location, not a full restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious though and I think our favorite part about it is that they have platters where you can pick your own items. This allowed us to try a ton of different things on the menu, and by the end we were so so so full. Considering that all in this was like $25 for two people, it's incredible that we felt like we just had a gourmet dinner at a nice restaurant. As expected with Lebanese, there was just so much flavor in all of the items! They also loaded us up with the bread and gave us some additional sauces. One was a garlic style sauce which was the perfect mixture of sauce and garlic - I could probably live on only eating that sauce. read more

Recently went to meet up w two friends for brunch and try a new restaurant in town. It was booked completely. Went across the street to old standby Panera. Line was out the door. Spotted LEBTAV around the corner and decided to give it a try. We were all so pleased that we did and it will be our new go to for long, leisurely visits. As others have reported, we couldn't decide what to order so we selected the supreme feast for two sampler platter and ordered a few extra items in case three of us needed more than just the platter. Everything was good from the baba ghanoush and chicken shawarma to the tabouleh, falafel, stuffed grape leaves and super creamy homemade hummus served with fresh homemade pita. It was a healthy amount of food and the platter also included baklava and two fountain drinks. We just picked away and chatted. It was a tasty and pleasant way to get together with friends. The staff were friendly. We definitely look forward to returning. read more

We were thrilled to find this place! We love Lebanese food and so often other places use cheap substitutes in place of the real sauces like garlic sauce (called toum)... Not this place! And they don't give you a dab of it, it's self serve!!! Delicious on chicken or lamb! The Babaganoush sooooooo good! We brought a friend who never would've eaten there in his own... Now he's a fan! The turmeric and coconut milk make this soup delightful. The herbs made it so fresh and there was just the right amount of sweetness and gentle heat. Parsley really adds to this recipe and I'm not usually a fan of this herb. The pitas are soft, thin and light. Love them. We needed to order more. I've never had such paper-thin pitas. Yum! For the $9 or so pricepoint, this dish is a true labor of love. To prep all of these vegetables, even with food processors, must take time. How novel of a dish! Put the yogurt salad on this pizza. You will thank me. And I only did it because I was watching someone else slather it on. There were at least 12 desserts on the menu. Meow. If we weren't so full of pita, hummus, tahini and fresh veggies, we certainly would love to taste a few of these. There was also an herbal green sauce on the side (don't know the name) which I really enjoyed. Fries with toum sauce- the fries tasted fresh and had seasoning on them (not sure what) that was good. The toum was a perfect dipping sauce for the fries. Overall, the sandwich was $13.5, and the fries were $7, which came out to about $22, which is a little on the expensive side. I'm really happy with this addition to the Heights food hall. I will definitely be back for my shawarma fix.

The herb encrusted rockfish is a perfect balance of light summer vegetables (heirloom tomato and asparagus) and comforting fish and crab nestled on an island of mashed purple cauliflower surrounded by a beurre blanc "ocean". It was filling without the heaviness other dishes might bring like ribeye or a burger. The lobster roll with homemade chips was delicious enough to not need the provided tartar sauce - as it should. Snuggled in a buttery, soft roll, the plentiful lobster meat was fresh and sweet. This is another wonderful meal that is filling and decadent without the heaviness. For dessert, we had the seasonal shortcake. A lemon pound cake with seasonal fruit and berries and ice cream. It's a classic spring/summer dessert that you can't go wrong with.

The pricing overall was fair too and didn't feel over the top for the quality and portions. The fries that came with the wrap deserve their own mention because they were phenomenal. Crispy golden brown on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Honestly, I'd come back just for the fries alone. I requested outdoor seating when making the reservation and they have a really nice outdoor section with a great atmosphere and view. They did a good job with the space they had, but the tables are pretty close together, so you can hear basically every conversation around you. The chairs were also a bit smaller and not the most comfortable for longer seating. Service was great all around. Our server was very polite and even helped my very undecided sister choose her meal. Everyone was friendly and it definitely feels like a nice place to bring friends or family. My only real complaint, and honestly this applies to a lot of places nearby, is the parking. I let the server know and she had the kitchen remake it. The replacement Belgian waffles were overcooked and dense, so they didn't really improve the experience. The butter though was genuinely delicious, just very rich and more of a holiday-style flavor than something I'd personally crave in warmer weather. I also had a basic cup of coffee made with Rise Up Coffee Roasters, which was $4.50. That felt overpriced for what it was. I could have walked right across the street and had a specialty coffee from the source for very little extra cost, which honestly would have been the better choice. Overall, the experience had some clear issues, especially with the waffle mix-up and consistency, but it wasn't completely disappointing. I just don't think I would personally order the same meal again.
