LEBTAV - Lebanese Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

I usually go to the Tyson's Corner location and was so pleased to find that this location is just as delicious with a great atmosphere and very friendly service! I look forward to coming back soon! read more

Terribly dismissive customer service after they messed up a doordash order. Could not care less that they forgot half the order and told us to call DoorDash if we have a problem with the order. Blamed the mistake on the large fee paid to DoorDash. Annapolis. read more

I lived in DC for years and loved The Lebanese Taverna. I was looking for a restaurant in Annapolis to cater a graduation lunch and happened upon LevTav. Turns out, It 's part of the Lebanese Taverna restaurant group in DC. Maroun, General Mgr worked closely with me to come up with the menu, and coordinate the logistics . At the actual location, Jorge and team created a fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious meal. It was generous in proportion, and received and set up right on schedule. I only wish there were larger proportions of the fabulous accompaniments such as tahini, garlic sauces and pickled veges. Next time, I will ask for doubles. We couldn't be happier, and would enthusiastically recommend LevTav for any event. read more

The traditional platter and extra falafel is my go-to, this time added lentil spinach soup. Chose contactless pickup, order was placed in trunk, no issues. Vegetarian menu is great. read more

A favorite for Middle Eastern fare. The menu covers many of the familiar dishes such as shawarma, tabouleh, hummus and many tasty pastries. It's a cafe style establishment so we come for the food not the atmosphere. Still worth a visit every visit to Annapolis. read more

Nothing like the old place! It's a beautiful cafe, but that's all I can say. Food was terrible. Our favorite kabob platter is not available. We tried a couple of the sandwiches on the menu and were disappointed. Mine was overloaded with a garlic spread and it was all I could taste. My husband said his was just ok. We won't be back. Sadly, it isn't what it used to be. read more

Love the food! It's a quick little casual place, you order up at the counter and they bring you your food. I love getting the choose 5 platter. And I also enjoy the candy selection at the front of the store. They sometimes come around offering extra bread. They do sell wine as well. It's never too packed in there nor does it take very long to get your food. I've been very pleased :) read more

Their taverna platter is always delicious; the hummus is amazing. Staff is nice and friendly. No complaints :)

My third time eating here. The hummus, yogurt sauce, falafel and pita are good. Salad I had was mediocre- just lettuce, tomato and cucumber, no olives or feta and tasteless dressing. I've tried the beef and chicken shawarmas and lamb - would never order again. Really no reason to go back here. read more

Ordered chicken shawarma rice bowl and it was lame. One tiny roasted tomato, a few onions, plenty of dry chicken and tons of rice. So bland - no pickled vegetables as promised in website. Spinach pie also not good. I loved Lebanese Taverna but this food does't come close. You are better off going to Mezeh. read more

As others have said, I was so looking forward to the re-opening in this new location. There are a couple of changes that are positive: the location is bright and has a clean, modern feel to it. You can purchase hummus, and other sauces to go, there's also a nice little condiment bar for single entrees. Aside from that, the menu is significantly pared down to basically three choices. I wouldn't be opposed to this if the options tasted as amazing as the old location. The chicken shwarma, formerly a favorite is so dry and tasteless even the sauces don't help. Secondly, I gave the location two tries and ordered mint lemonade and both times, the cashier forgot to give them to me. I really hope LT reconsiders this business model. read more

No wonder the new name is LebTav. Just like the abbreviated name, the menu and the service have been reduced. If you've been a patron of the old Annapolis Lebanese Taverna, you'd be sorely disappointed by the new LebTav. It's a Chipotle style eatery with very limited menu choices. I am afraid this new model will tarnish the good brand of Lebanese Taverna. I encourage the owners to seriously consider a major revamp before it's too late... read more

Yuck-So disappointed This was my second visit. Half of the previous menu items are missing. If you want hummus-you are directed to a plastic container in the case even if you are eating in.The counter person actually refused to give me a fresh bowl dressed with olive oil. The lamb was soggy and flavorless. How is that even possible? Not sure it was even lamb. Can't believe after all these months waiting this is what we got. Unfortunately, the place at the mall is now our go to place for Mediterranean. read more

So so disappointed. As a 28 year fan of Lebanese Taverna, we were looking forward to the new Café reopening in Annapolis. This poor imitation of the old café doesn't deserve to carry the Lebanese Taverna name. The Shawarma is dry, the falafel and kibbeh were tasteless, and the "Taverna Salad" bears no resemblance to the old cafe's wonderful Lebanese salad, or frankly any salad that you would find in Lebanon. This place is basically a cheap shopping mall stall masquerading as a restaurant. So, so disappointing. read more

The LebTav is always my best reward for going to this area. Be sure to ask for the garlic sauce for your falafel- you won't be dissapointed!

As stated in other reviews, this new location is a shell of the old Lebanese Taverna. Chicken shawarma not very flavorful. Not a nice place to go for a sitdown meal, if you want to try this location, I recommend carry out read more

I have ordered from this restaurant in Arlington and had a great meal. This restaurants food is horrible. Ordered the same dish that I ordered from the other restaurant. It was like night and day. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for middle eastern food. Terrible! read more

I was in search for some awesome Shawarma in Maryland area. I knew not to expect NYC style shawarma. Picked up a Taverna Platter with Ouzi (Braised Lamb), Make yo Platter with Falafel, hummus, lebneh, Baba Ganush, Chicken Shauyyaa plus some sweets like Bakhlava and something else. While the Lamb portion was big, it tasted like a piece of wet brick. Where are the flavor and spices? Dry crap. First bite and my tongue was like, "trash" ( so it ended up in the trash). Hummus was a joke and the baba ganush was somewhat edible). Chicken Shouyyaaa (I'm saying Shawarma as Shouyyaaaa because it tasted nothing like Shawarma. The chicken was dry piece or flavorless pieces of some crunch which you will be wondering, "is it meat or is it some dry crispy bread. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever which is not middle eastern. I went in with 1 out of 10 expectation and still managed to be very unimpressed (more like negative 20). The employees are nice but their food are just horrid. I will not be back. I have not tried the sweets I got from them but I have fairly good idea of how it will taste like. read more

Awful seasoning on most food items. The baklava was awful too. The prices are decent but the food is subpar.

This is not like the former location or the Alexandria location. This is like the fast food version. My first visit was very lackluster, with dry shawarma and little flavor. I gave them another chance, and have been going weekly since. Love the hummus, and when the shawarma is on it is on. I am hoping they can refine their consistency. read more

So good! Good atmosphere & fast. Tucked away, but worth the find. Have always been a fan & their upgrade made them even better

I miss the old menu. So many good items are not on the menu anymore. I have had the Traditional Platter twice, sides are very good, but the falafel tends to be dry and the pita is not made fresh anymore but heated in microwave. On the plus side, the service is great. I hope they rethink their menu. read more

Love this place. One of our go tos. Very good service. Decor is clean and bright. The beef shawama was tasty. The Tabouleh and kibbehare very good. Hommus is a little lackluster. Like the fresh pitas and sauce bar. Overall, very good food. read more

Went in for a late dinner and enjoyed the platters we ordered but was surprised at the difference in customer service at the new location. We ordered our food at 815, received our food at 830 and then by 8:40 we were informed that they were going to start closing down the dining room. Mind you, there were about 8 other people still eating and another couple still waiting for their food to be served. One server began breaking down and cleaning out the sauce station in the middle of the restaurant two feet from one table, result in water and sauce being accidentally flung around them as they ate. I totally get wanting to get out at the end of the shift, but this was a bit ridiculous. The staff weren't directly rude, but having everything shutdown and hauling out cleaning products as you're eating isnt exactly welcoming. Can't say we will return. Plenty of other Mediterranean restaurants opening in the area read more

Like others, we were so excited Leb Tav was coming back to Annapolis. Not sure what happened but instead of a family restaurant, this version seems to want to compete with fast food places. Zero ambiance, less than half of the old menu, almost no kid options--but lots of paper plates and plastic wear. Incredibly disappointing! read more

What a disappointment. The food was well below that expected from Lebanese Taverna. The Lamb shank was their best Meal and used to come in a large portion on the bone and covered in a tasty red sauce. This version was a small portion, with no shank or sauce. It was so dry it was hard to chew and swallow. The chicken Shawarma was also dry and had no taste. This was not LT but an imposter. read more

Great food that is far from the usual chain restaurant fare. I drove by, saw it, and had to work my way through twists and turns to get back to it. Worth it! I did read these other reviews and some seem to be very persnickety and nitpicking. They are pining for the old place and being too negativr. Dont listen to them. Food is good. read more

I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of Lebanese Taverna since they first announced their new location in Annapolis. If you expect the same menu as they had at the Harbor Center, you will be very disappointed. I was excited to go and order my old favorite Supreme Feast for two, along with a bottle Lebanese wine. I was shocked to discover that the menu was reduced to a handful of small items and no beer and wine. It is a very small space and I felt this could easily be in the food court at the mall. What food they did serve was the same great quality as before, but variety is lacking. I was expecting a cafe but it is not even that. read more

Anyone who used to go to the Harbor Center location will be very disappointed in the new location at Riva Festival. Very limited choices now. Gone are the over a dozen side dishes to choose from and all the platter options. Now it is just a crappy fast food joint. No more dishes, silverware or wine. Much smaller space. I don't know why they even bothered to open this new location but I suspect most of their old customers will not return. I know we are done with them after only one visit. read more

Hummus and bread is still the best in town but the entree I ordered was a mountain of hummus with a few shreds of meat so the balance was way off and I left feeling unsatisfied. I can't eat that much hummus so I was underwhelmed and nothing annoys me more than restaurants who give significantly undersized portions of the main course. We're not talking about expensive meat here to begin with. The meat was also very bland - more so than at the old restaurant. read more

One of the best spots in Annapolis. The food is delicious and the people who work there are so friendly! I would go every week if I could!

I'm a picky foodie, but I am a fan of this spot. I go there frequently and have tried everything on the menu. It's hard to find healthy, affordable food that tastes good, and Leb Tav offers all of those things. The sauce bar, with spicy or garlic or cucumber sauces or tahini is such a treat. The staff are super diligent and friendly. I am disappointed and surprised by and actually don't understand the negative reviews because I want this place to succeed. I have never had to wait for a table or seen the kitchen slammed. So if you want a chill, casual vibe and a quick meal, the convenience and efficiency will be a good fit for you. Parking is easy and plentiful as well. This area needed another alternative place to eat, so I am grateful this opened at this new location. read more

Service was fast and friendly. Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Love the sauce bar! So happy there's more Mediterranean around town! read more

Don't waste your time or money. Menu is small and your food is served on paper plates with plastic utensils as if it is a fast food restaurant. While my family was sitting at our table trying to enjoy our dinner, the cashier decided to empty the trash less than a foot away from our table, almost hitting my grandmother in the head with a broom if it wasn't for my dad putting his hand up to block it from hitting her. To top off our already not so pleasant first and last experience here, my dad and I both woke up with food poisoning (we both ordered the taverna platter with braised lamb). If zero stars was an option, that's what I'd give. read more
