Pic to confirm our purchase that would have been used for a good review had bad the situation not happened

So, my husband and I decided to support this business because they are a small Muslim owned restaurant that looks empty every time we come in. This time I clearly asked for 'bone in chicken'. He offered kofta combo and I again clearly asked for bone in with the combo. We paid extra for the substitution of the Pumpkin and spinach instead of rice so would surely have paid extra if asked. We were served boneless and by the time we realized it we had eaten ONLY a spoonful of rice and a few pieces of naan. We were told we had to pay for the bone in chicken since we didn't notice before we took some of the rice and bread. Wa 'alahi It was clearly his mistake. Even the other guy offered to replace it but the one arguing said no, only if we pay. MashaAllah. My reviews are always honest and I tend to give a better rating for small businesses. But I cannot tolerate disrespect and accusations that are not true. Will never support this place. I tried. Almost $35 later for one combo, a water and a mango lassi. I am so upset at the blatant offense that I now cannot eat. And will never support them again. I will continue to support Ziza Kabob in Jessup and Maiwand Kabob

Beef Nihari (with 1, 2, 3) pieces of beef

I've been here a few times. Food is usually very good. The beef nihari is my go to dish. It's packed with flavorful cuts of beef in a rich thick spicy broth. So much so that I often get a second (garlic) naan to soak it all up. Well not today. There were literal 3 small cuts of beef in my bowl. Broth was runny and lacked that spicy finish. Now I will say that the beef hihari isn't usually available on Sundays but they said it was in stock but I guess this is what was left from the weekend. Disappointed The naan was still very good

Prince Kabob is on route 3 between Gambrills and Bowie. The Wife and I were in the mood for kabobs and they hit the spot. The wait was really long considering there was no one in the building but everything was fairly good. This is a place I'll go back to again and again.

    Goat Karahi Special

I visit this spot at least once a month...sometimes more and I almost always order the goat karahi. It comes with salad and naan. I love the flavors in the dish. I took one star off because sometimes I get way too many bones. Every once in awhile I'll eat in but most of the time, I order it to go. The goat karahi is an order for 2 for about $30. I always order it just for me so I can have plenty of leftovers. The samosas are delicious too! You need to check this spot out!

So I had to come back to update my review. Since COVID-19 hit the US I have been ordering here once a week to keep some type of normalcy in my life. I absolutely love the Goat Karahi special, you can also order this dish with chicken but the goat is amazing! The food is halal/kosher for anyone on a restricted diet. I order off the GrubHub app and pick up, that way I can pay for my food ahead of time. I usually pick up because the GrubHub app is the worst, drivers always take too long. This special comes with two pieces of naan, salad and mint sauce, asks for extra sauce, it is so good. This dish can feed about 2 people. Food is seasoned very well, they have also recently opened their restaurant for dine-in.

Ok...did I go on an off day? There are alot of positive reviews.... I happened to be in Crofton and stopped by this spot with my son. When I walked in the smells were awesome and the gentleman at the counter said they cooked it fresh and it would take about 20 minutes. That is about all the positive I was getting today from this spot. Strike one....The lettuce is clearly wilted and bad! Why would you put this on the plate? I get past this and try the food. I ordered a lamb kabob and chicken kabob. The flavors were lacking.....it was bland like cumin was the only flavor on the meats? Even my toddler said 'yucky mommy!' The sauce was even bland! Ugh...Such a disappointment. We've been to several authetic afghan/pakastani/kabob spots. This spot right here totally misses the mark. Moby Dick which is a chain has better flavors than this place! Skip this place!

The lamb chops here are the best I've ever had in my entire life!!!! They melt in your mouth, and are impeccably seasoned. You will not find anything like this in the area. Trust me.

Time: took about 20 minutes from the time I ordered to the time the food was served. Quality: the quality of the food was High-medium to high. Quantity: just about right, will definitely make you full. First date: definitely not, very casual not the type of place you want your date to experience for a first impression. But good for friends or family hang out. Overall: good place to hang out with friends and have a good meal. Special note: I would definitely try the bread Would I recommend: yes

Love this place! Hope it gets the credit it is due. One of the best joints in Crofton, by far. Definitely my Go To. The butter chicken is amazing and the portions never disappoint. The space is very clean. The employees are highly efficient with time. And the price is right. It's also nice being able to order takeout via the Yelp app and keep an eye on the time. They also deliver!

Kabob n Karahi uses authentic spices, and what you get is like the difference between chef boyardee and actually going to Italy. This is a very local chain, and the restaurant honestly feels a bit like a high school cafeteria. It's probably not the place to go for a date night. :) This is why I have gotten take out 47191 times and eaten there once. The food is amazing, and going in does have the benefit that they'll often have specials not in the menu. I'm currently polishing off a lamb kabob, and I actually found a black cardamom pod in it. That's such a different flavour than you'll get most places (and despite the name, it's not cardomom). It's rich in sumac and just YUM. Stop in and grab dinner in the way home, for something flavourful, unique, authentic and just plain different.

Even the recently opened and popular Karahi Boys in Sterling, VA made a somewhat disappointing chicken karahi (although their goat karahi was on-point). Not here though. This place offers three karahi options or styles- makhani/butter, Shinwari, and Butt- with chicken or goat meat. My wife and I picked the chicken Butt karahi and a side of the Lahori chana/chickpeas. The order took around 25 min to fulfill, but it was well worth the wait. The karahi was wonderful with a wonderfully coated thick gravy that clung very well onto the chicken, with the ubiquitousness of warming savory peppery spice in each bite, hiding a slight hint of sour-sweet note that would come at the back end, and made us forget about the disappointing ones we'd eaten previously. The Lahori chana, like many of the chickpea preparations in Northern India and Pakistan, was perfectly spiced with that effervescent note of the baking soda in which the chickpeas were cooked. All in all, a wonderful afternoon meal at a spot that is highly likely to be very frequented by us often. The goat karahi, charga, and rest of their BBQ menu will definitely be on our agenda next. If there was something to rue about, it was the lack of clientele when we went around 1:30-ish pm on a Saturday- not exactly lunch hour but we'd have expected to see more people there (although people were coming in sporadically for pick-up orders). I will highly recommend this place to people to go and try some wonderful Pakistani cuisine and keep the place in business. I, however, will advise against ordering any of the typical North Indian/British Indian staples, like butter chicken or tikka masala even if they're on the menu. Ask the wait staff for recommendations and focus on the Pakistani BBQ and karahi, which is what they're famous for and you'll have a much better experience.

The space is clean, airy, and nicely decorated. After looking over the menu, I decided on the Chicken Tikka Kabob entrée (mild, not spicy) which is served with rice, salad, and naan. After approximately 25 minutes, my order was ready for consumption. The chicken was tender and flavorful with the right amount of spice, paired nicely with the rice and salad. I would like to try the garlic and kabuli naan with sesame seeds. Love the Yogurt Salad here. It's a gigantic bowl of yogurt, cucumbers, onion, tomato, mint, cilantro, and lemon. It's bountiful and delicious. We tried the samosas with potato, coriander, mint, cumin seed and red chili's. Very good. We enjoyed the Butter Chicken but it was not like any butter chicken I've had before. There was very little butter and cream present. The sauce was red and spicy. I ordered it as a mild version for the person eating with us. Maybe one could request extra cream if they are looking for a traditional, Amercan-ized, Indian Butter Chicken dish? It was flavorful, for me, though. We also enjoyed the Chicken Tandoori. It is moist, very well-seasoned and delicious. Zero complaints! We really liked the Chana Masala which is great for vegetarians. This is a chickpea dish with spices, and you can tell they have been marinated for a very long time. We tried this on the buffet. The Kabuli Palaw is a very mild and lovely rice dish. It comez with bone-in beef (so if you are serving children or seniors, pull this meat out for them), basmati rice, raisins and carrots. The raisins make it sweet and great. The Chicken Biryani is good and spicy but I enjoyed that it wasn't a fire-spice level. We ate this at the buffet so it was on the medium-spicy side vs. other wildly, spicy biryani's. The Kheer is super-delicious! It's a rice pudding with milk, heavy cream, almonds and pistachios. We also had this in the buffet and loved it. Especially the cardamom notes. The Chai is served very quickly here, so I'm wondering if they have a large soup pot of it in the back. It's nice but add sugar if you like it sweet. I liked that I didn't have to wait forever for it. The spices are just right and I ordered a second one! The service here was very friendly. Most of the staff spoke to us when I requested things and it is like an all-hands-on-board approach. This is why they describe themselves as fast-casual: you can just go to the front and ask for what you need when you are eating at the buffet. Things on this menu which pique my interest: White Lassi (dogh). I looked it up and it's plain yogurt and sugar with aromatics such as cardamom or rose water. They have the following fresh fruit juices: banana, mango, apple, orange, lemon, and watermelon. You can also mix two fruits. I wonder if you can add yogurt because I've and never had banana juice. The Afghani Sheryakh with milk, cream, sugar, cardamom, crushed almonds, saffron, and pistachio also looks delicious. The lentil soup looks delicious, as well as the lentil entrees. When they say it's fast-casual Indian and Pakistani, this is helpful because I've seen words, "Afghan," in titles and Kabuli in a dish name mentioned on the menu so it's a bit confusing. But a woman I was speaking with said the cooks are Indian and Pakistani. Madina is the name of 'the' holy city in Dubai. Maybe it's a similar concept to Jerusalem for us Christians. So there is this whole menangerie of countries mentioned in the menu, basically. The cooking here is the least closest to American Indian that I am used to eating. We really liked the flavors here. I saw jalapeños in a few of the buffet dishes and for me, all that was missing was beer to tamp the spice! Ah well, Coke and Pepsi did the trick for now. Would come back to Al Madina again. It's probably the closest I'll get to the real city of Madina in Dubai.
