We ordered a take out of 3 items: cow feet(gelatinuous) lamb kebab, would prefer it to be more tender. beef shank(spicy), is my fav. I also took a pic of other people's table that dined in,love the presentation.Their naan bread ia fabulous, tender&garlicky. The place is spacious and looks clean. You can see nice stacks of big chunks of kebabs when they are raw on their display as well. Other food in the pic are misc items from other middle eastern grocery earlier in the day.

The chicken Karahi for 2 is sooooo good. The chicken is savory and spicy and is perfect to eat with naan. You really could just buy it for yourself and save half for dinner later. Or you can bring a friend and share haha You can ask for it boneless or bone in but I recommend bone in. It always comes out piping hot! You can adjust the spice level as well. They also have really good daily specials so it's a good incentive to come back different days of the week. They staff are kind and helpful. The interior is decorated cutely and has lots of seating.

Kabob N' Karahi is one of our go-to spots for delicious Indian and Pakistani cuisine. We're regulars at their Silver Spring location, so when we discovered their new outpost in Flower Hill Shopping Center, we couldn't wait to try it. Every dish here is a winner, but nothing beats their freshly baked Naan and rich, flavorful Goat Karahi. If you're craving authentic, satisfying food, this place never disappoints!

After a good day of prayer, I stopped by for some food. The cashier didn't seem too friendly when I asked about the menu, but I still gave it a try. The chicken was average and a bit greasy, and the salad was just okay. Unfortunately, as I was leaving, I noticed a roach near my seat. That's completely unacceptable especially for a halal spot.

Very generous portions, super friendly staff, bread tastes fresh. Keep in mind though, the meat tends to contain the bones inside. Everything tasted really fresh and flavorful. Excellent price.

My new favorite spot. This was the square I grew up in and haven't been back in ages, but we wanted to venture out and try something new. So glad that we did! The inside is clean and spacious and looks new. They have high back booths so you have privacy and they have enough seating for large groups. The person who took our order was nice and patient with us since we were completely new to the type of cuisine, but we ended up grabbing the Boneless Chicken Karahi for two which came out to 30.73. It was made to order so we were able to tweak the spice level and took about 15 minutes. My gosh! The flavor was on point and strong. The flavor did not depend on the spice level and that made it fragrant and delicious. Like the other review stated, the food is absolutely delicious. The naan was also freshly made and it was soft and crispy on the bottom. Still thinking about this meal and wanting to come back. We were able to try the chai as well. I would get this again. It pairs nicely with meal and it does have milk in it so do be aware of that. Overall, I am glad I found this place. I had been looking for a new place to eat delicious food. This to me, is my new hidden gem.

I went again and got the goat curry special and the Seekh kabob. It was delicious! The Seekh is very springy and well seasoned, which to me is an indicator of a good Seekh kabob. The goat curry was a very solid portion, with plenty of meat. It was also well seasoned and the flavors were on point. This is my new favorite spot in MoCo. My only complaint is that the way my food was packaged was not very well thought out lol. The goat curry was sitting atop of the kabob box in the bag. It spilled out a bunch of oil into the bag and subsequently my car. My only word of advice for the owners is to use a separate container to the curries, as they spill out of the side too easily in these containers. Services is still great as the person who took my order was very nice, repeated everything back to me and confirmed my totals.

This place just opened (12/15). I visited the place a few days later. You order and pick up at the counter. They still need to work out the ordering process. There seemed to be a disconnect. I waited forever to place an order, and there were only two people in front of me. There is plenty of seating available. They have a refrigerated case showing all the raw kabobs and few prepared dishes. I wanted the butter paneer, which was on the menu, but was told I could not get that. They didn't really say why. I ended up getting the butter chicken, which was one of the prepared dishes. I also got the Chicken Boti Kabob and vegetable samosas. All were delicious, but I was disappointed since I had my heart set on a paneer dish. I will give it a try again, and hopefully, they have the ordering process ironed out.

First time trying Karahi, so I don't have a good barometer on what it should taste like. But I liked it, the aftertaste is unlike anything I have ever had. Ginger like, maybe it's nuts? For the karahi, They asked how spicy, and I said the spiciest they have. I was warned that it's really spicy. And it was a comfortable amount of spice. But admittedly I am a bit insane about spice, so not their fault. Also maybe Karahi's not supposed to be super spicy, I'm not sure. But it tasted great. Also had Aloo keema. Which came with a generous amount of rice and chickpeas. Great value for the quality and portions. It's listed as a starter, so we ordered to share. But if I were to come alone, and just get Aloo keema, I would leave happy.

Even the recently opened and popular Karahi Boys in Sterling, VA made a somewhat disappointing chicken karahi (although their goat karahi was on-point). Not here though. This place offers three karahi options or styles- makhani/butter, Shinwari, and Butt- with chicken or goat meat. My wife and I picked the chicken Butt karahi and a side of the Lahori chana/chickpeas. The order took around 25 min to fulfill, but it was well worth the wait. The karahi was wonderful with a wonderfully coated thick gravy that clung very well onto the chicken, with the ubiquitousness of warming savory peppery spice in each bite, hiding a slight hint of sour-sweet note that would come at the back end, and made us forget about the disappointing ones we'd eaten previously. The Lahori chana, like many of the chickpea preparations in Northern India and Pakistan, was perfectly spiced with that effervescent note of the baking soda in which the chickpeas were cooked. All in all, a wonderful afternoon meal at a spot that is highly likely to be very frequented by us often. The goat karahi, charga, and rest of their BBQ menu will definitely be on our agenda next. If there was something to rue about, it was the lack of clientele when we went around 1:30-ish pm on a Saturday- not exactly lunch hour but we'd have expected to see more people there (although people were coming in sporadically for pick-up orders). I will highly recommend this place to people to go and try some wonderful Pakistani cuisine and keep the place in business. I, however, will advise against ordering any of the typical North Indian/British Indian staples, like butter chicken or tikka masala even if they're on the menu. Ask the wait staff for recommendations and focus on the Pakistani BBQ and karahi, which is what they're famous for and you'll have a much better experience.

Also, in roughly 9 months, prices have gone up nearly $2 for specific items that I had gotten previously, which isn't a good look. All in all, I still do believe that it's still up there for some of the best Indian food I've had in Maryland, but it's not worthy of the 5-star, as the 4-star fits it better. -- #issa.cheatday

I'd skip the chicken biryani here -- it's boneless, but the rice is just plain white instead of the flavorful fried style you get at India Palace. India Palace still wins for overall taste, though SpiceLife does have better appetizers. The onion padakoor and chili paneer were both really good! I tried the chicken tikka ($18), but the portion was small and had a noticeable tomato aftertaste. India Palace's version has a richer flavor. The Chicken 65 was okay -- small chunks for $16. The poori was fine, and the bhatura came as four smaller triangles instead of one big piece like at India Palace, but the breads here are cheaper. After trying a bunch of dishes, I'd say India Palace is still my top pick for Indian food, but SpiceLife comes in a solid second place.

Kabob n Karahi uses authentic spices, and what you get is like the difference between chef boyardee and actually going to Italy. This is a very local chain, and the restaurant honestly feels a bit like a high school cafeteria. It's probably not the place to go for a date night. :) This is why I have gotten take out 47191 times and eaten there once. The food did not disappoint! The lamb was tender and the sauce flavors were not overwhelming but the perfect complement. The shrimp were lightly fried and coated with a delicious coating. Not "overly" gingered for me. The appetizer came with two sauces (one spicy and one sweeter) that were good, but I didn't think were needed because the shrimp were good on their own. For entrees, we got the Palak Paneer (mild) and Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spice). Again, both were delicious. The rice accompanying the entrees was well prepared. We ordered a Garlic Naan that was deliciously garlicky. The soups and appetizer mostly filled us up, so we took the entrees home and had them for lunch the next day.
