9.11.26 I haven't…read morebeen to this market in a while, but my work friends and I stopped by during lunch while they had their customer appreciation days. They had open pet chicken barbecue and pulled pork. Also, they are giving out free donuts (glazed or powdered cream) and lemonade. My hubby wanted me to get him a powdered cream donut so he was disappointed when I brought it home and there was no cream filling. Fortunately, the coconut custard doughnut that I purchased was amazing. They did not skimp on the coconut or the custard for mine. Since my husband did not have any cream in his, I took some out of my doughnut, and it was still plentiful. I also got us two chicken halves, and a medium size of the Amish macaroni salad. I purchased a medium of the crustless chicken pot pie for myself. We both loved our chicken. It reminded us of the smoked chicken at Smoky Glen Farm. He thought the macaroni salad was sweet for his liking but since I have a sweet tooth, I loved it. I gave him a bite to try the chicken pot pie and it reminded him more of a chicken dumpling. I would've enjoyed it more if it had a crust. It's funny that my parents have lived in Germantown for decades, and I never shopped there.

Unless you dine in at the restaurant, everything is grab and go. I try to buy one new thing every time I come. So far we haven't been disappointed!

This area has needed an excellent butcher for a long time and now has one! Beautiful selection of…read moresausages, beef, etc. The staff are helpful and the butcher is very knowledgeable and accommodating. I was born and raised in Michigan and went to college in Cincinnati. Michigan is loaded with butchers and Cincinnati has German background. Cindy has fantastic Brats sold in the streets and a deli across from the Police station. There is a menu without prices because the owner sizes you up and charges you accordingly. I When we were dressed in jeans and shirts on a library run he'd charge us $2 for a Bratwurst and chips. Dressed fancy on a date that would cost $10. I was present when the owner chased a worker around with a meat cleaver because he thought he was swiping money from the till. Nokesville Butcher doesn't have the floor show but the meat and sausages are top drawer and special orders, Thanksgiving Turkey, a special order type chicken, ground Sirloin to make stellar burgers, etc. are easily available. Treat yourself don't cheat yourself!

I did a double take when I was driving down Fitzwater Drive - wondering if they've been there for a while - as I don't recall ever seeing them before - so I asked how long they've been open. Lots of local meat options. I selected a package of their bacon and ground Chorizo. They have lots of other meat selections - steaks, all kinds of brats and sausages, pork products, and even some non-meat food offerings. Staff was very nice. Paid with Apple Pay. Service was prompt! Check them out! #NokesvilleMeats
