Chicken Tikka Masala. Perfect seasoning. Delectable cubes of tender chicken. Lots of onions and green peppers. Delicate, delicious rice.

Just fabulous! Service was excellent but the food was even better! The spices complimented each dish and everything was cooked to perfection. They're is even a Call button at the table in case you need something before they come check on you. We really liked that the water was bottled. The decor is authentic and colorful, creating a very pleasant ambiance. We'll be back next week!

A Pakistani-Indian restaurant with kabobs, Karahi and traditional fare. Indo Chinese selections are also on the regular menu along with larger dishes (meant for 2). They also have Haleem, nihari and halawi puri on the weekends as specials. Decor has nice art and wall hangings. We got a veggie biryani, baingan bharta and daal makhani. All were very solid and flavorful. The daal was very creamy and rich. The eggplants were spicy but not too overwhelming. These 2 entrees came with a generous portion of naan. The naan was piping hot, crispy on the outside with the right amount of doughiness on the inside. The biryani was fluffy and light with lots of veggies. The only difference compared with other biryanis is that this one didn't come with raita, but was still very good. Service was pleasant and professional.

Went to try a Pakistani restaurant on a Friday night. It's a pretty big space but we were the only dine in customers. We ordered their Zarqa Karahi entree of lamb shinwari for two and a side order of chickpeas. The lamb came with naan. They did not temp down the spice level. However as spicy as it was, it seemed to need a bit more salt. Same with the chickpeas. We did enjoy the meal and the price is reasonable. It's part of a plaza with a lot of ethnic restaurants that catered to African or middle eastern tastes. Plenty of parking. Perhaps lunch time with their buffets draws a bigger crowd.

The food was amazing and delicious. Enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and great service. I had the lamb chops and my daughter had the shrimp malsa. Mint lemonade was refreshing...

Had their buffet a handful of times. I only recommend their weekend buffet, as the weekday buffet is quite limited. And at that point, I would rather order from the menu. Also weekend is Saturday, Sunday. Not Friday. Favorite was the goat paya. Which makes this place unique as it's not a common buffet item. Butter chicken is more on the tomato side, which I personally like. Naan had good crisp texture, and buttery. I also think it's the most aesthetically pleasing Naan with how it shines, compared to nearby competitors. Biryani is just okay. Not completely bland, but wasn't special. They used to have saag paneer, but the last two times I went, the tray was labeled "out of order" Also, the last two times I went, they didn't do the "automatic 18% gratuity." Maybe it was a coincidence or maybe they're listening to the comments.

    Chicken Tikka

This place is very tasty. It was our second time going. The first time we had Karahi which we loved! This time we had butter chicken (so good!) and chicken tikka. Ambiance and service is simple and traditional. Just a heads up not all dishes come with rice, like you would expect at an Indian food restaurant, but it comes with naan and you can always add rice if desired.

    Huge portion of buttered naan!

We wanted some Indian food so I ordered from here for lunch. The butter chicken and malai kofta were delicious. A lot of sauce and only about 8 pieces of butter chicken. Neither dish came with rice. We were surprised by that but maybe they don't serve rice with it. We have a ton of sauce leftover. We ordered buttered naan and got a huge portion! The samosas were hot and crunchy and not too spicy. They came with two dipping sauces. One was greenish white and tasted like cilantro. The other I loved. It was a sweet and spicy reddish sauce. The mango lassi was a large 16 oz portion but had a different taste to it. I don't know if it was a spice or added flavor or if the yogurt was going bad. Whatever it was it wasn't what we are used to and was off-putting so we didn't drink that. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated. I would try this place again but skip the lassi.

The worst possible goat and chicken kadai I have ever had. The goat kadai was sweet to say the least.

I tried halwa puri and green tea. Specially channa was good. Green tea was great due to its presentation with mint and lemon.

The sauce is rich, perfectly spiced, and honestly just off the charts. It's amazing to scoop up with their naan, which is soft, fresh, and seriously delicious. You could easily get this just for yourself and have leftovers for later, or bring someone along and share. The portion size is really generous and the price is very fair for what you get. This is hands down the best lamb karahi I've had. I used to go to Ravi Kabob House for karahi, but now Kabob and Karahi is definitely my new go-to spot. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and service is quick. My wife and daughter ordered the lamb and chicken kabobs and were both super happy with their meals too. Everything we tried was tasty and affordable. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and has plenty of seating, which makes it a great place to dine in. Definitely worth coming back to try more dishes!

This was always one of those places my friends and I would come back to whenever people were back in town visiting after college. The food still hits exactly how I remembered. The goat karahi extra spicy was packed with flavor, rich, saucy, and perfect with fresh garlic naan. The kabobs were juicy, the portions were generous, and the mango lassi balanced everything out perfectly. If you're looking for authentic Pakistani comfort food in the DMV, Kabob N Kahari is easily one of the local staples worth checking out.

We ordered a…read moremix of a couple of things we were familiar with (Channa Masala Bowl with rice, Pakoras), one thing that looked similar to things we'd had before (Zeera Aloo Roll), and one thing that was totally new to us (Dahi Baray). After ordering, we chose a table and sat down to wait for our food. We noticed that the table was sticky, but after checking several other tables we realized that they were all sticky - they didn't seem *dirty*, just sticky. The Zeera Aloo Roll and Channa Masala bowl came up first. The roll was ok - mostly just roti and very drippy sauce with a few potatoes. I enjoyed the flavor, just wished there was more filling. The Chana Masala was fine -- a bit bland and the bowl was 90% rice, but it was edible. When the Pakoras came out, it was mostly just onions and a couple of potato sticks. Not much flavor there either - I couldn't even really taste the onions, it all just tasted like oil. It did come with a small cup of raita, and that was good. We had no idea what to expect from the Dahi Baray since we'd never heard of it before -- it turned out to be a few little mushy balls of dough about the size of cherries, in a huge bowl of tangy yogurt sauce that was a little bit sweeter than the raita. I liked the sauce - I mixed some with the rice from the chana masala - but neither of us liked the dumplings at all. When we were done, I stopped in the restroom before we hit the road again. I found a fairly large, very dimly lit bathroom with a very wet floor, and while I was washing my hands the dim light went out all together leaving me in total darkness. When I emerged I grabbed some napkins to dry my hands, and my daughter decided that she would wait and use the restroom at thenearby gas station before we hit the road again. Overall not the worst dining experience I've had, but we won't be back.
