Tuesday 2/18/25 I had gone to an Indian buffet in Muddy Branch a few months ago, and my mom had made a lot of claims about "India Palace" being one of her favorite spots for Indian food and Indian buffet, so we're finally putting it to the test. My mom and I came for the lunch buffet for $18 each, and the service was alright, but nothing stood out. You get all of your food from the buffet except for the naan that gets delivered to your table occasionally. Also, as a tip, I'd recommend paying with cash as it's cheaper. I tried a lot of items, so it's easiest to rank each item into tiers of whether I'd recommend it or not: YES: - Mango lassi - Gulab jamun - Chicken biryani - Deep-fried bread (bathura) - Tandoor chicken - Saag paneer - Samosa MAYBE: - Chana bathura - Butter chicken - Goat vindaloo - Veg noodles - Aloo tikka - Beans - Naan NO - Patty looking thing (best way I could describe it as I don't know the name lol) - Kheer - Aloo matar - Rice - Methi paneer - Dhai vada (this was HORRIBLE) Overall, the buffet experience was okay for the most part, as the food ranged from awful to decent. It's clear to see that my mom's claims did not pass the test, and I'd easily recommend the Muddy Branch Indian buffet for my Indian buffet fix.

Side of chickpeas, with tandoori Mixed Grill

We had the mixed grill tandoori, what a bargain, a huge platter of amazing food cooked to perfection. We started with the shrimp and split the huge piece of salmon, which was moist and tasty. This dish was accompanied by a side of chickpeas and of rice. The palak paneer was excellent, somehow they made it tasty even though my husband insisted it be mild.

I always forget to review this place whenever I come here, and I also don't take good photos because I am stuffing my face the whole time. This is one of the best Indian buffets that you can get in town. For $21 on the weekend, you get a full buffet that includes many specialties, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian dishes, multiple desserts, coffee, chai, and mango lassi. You really cannot beat this as the value is great, and the amenities are even better. Fresh naan is brought to your table, and services extremely efficient despite how busy they can get. The food quality itself is also decently above average for all of their dishes. I would say, my only complaint is that on one corner of the buffet, it is impossible to go around people and can get quite congested during their peak hours. I highly recommend coming here, if you are in the area and are looking for a fully balanced meal with more items than almost any other buffet.

    Buffet on Sunday

I have been coming here more often lately. It's been good each time. The reason I keep coming here is that they appear to be pretty well priced for what you get. They always have tandoori chicken and butter chicken for the lunch buffet, which is also offered on Sundays. The best dish is usually on the big metal plates along the wall and they had this tender lamb dish once and a fried fish dish. Both delicious and well worth the price for the lunch buffet. This buffet is unique in that they offer mango lassi as part of the buffet. I really only had mango lassi during a buffet. Most of the dishes, I never even attempted at home so it's definitely worth the money to come here and quench your craving for Indian food. It takes a lot of spices to make Indian cuisine so unless you're investing in making Indian cuisine for the month at home, it's best to just go for a lunch buffet and this one does a pretty bang up

You don't have to choose. It's all you want.

Lunch buffet on a Thursday was an excellent experience. Food freshness and variety was top-notch. See photos. Unlike mass feeding trough buffet's patrons were civilized and orderly. Table service to replenish drinks, take away used plates, process payment and generally check up on us was perfect. Ambiance is pleasant. Sufficiently quiet for conversation - yaaaa! Restrooms clean and accessible. This place has been around for years and some of the furnishings appear worn. Yet everything was clean. Bonus: 10% discount for cash payment. Lunch for 2 was less than $40.00. We'll be back!

Got takeout, so can't comment on ambiance or service. Garlic naan: 5/5 flavorful and absolutely delicious! Highly recommend! Chicken biryani: 3/5 relatively bland with very mild spice. There is a hard boiled with several chunks of chicken. Overall, would give this restaurant another try: would get garlic naan again but skip the chicken biryani.

Having tried their menu items before. This time I tried their buffet on Saturday. My top picks: - goat, very tender and strong flavor - aloo masala. It's a good choice to have something a bit sour in the buffet, because most other choices are buttery. Didn't like: - Everything else was a bit bland. - Aloo tikki and pakora, was too chewy. Which I didn't expect because I came as soon as they opened. - They had fried rice instead of biryani, which I was looking forward to since I liked their biryani. And again, a bit bland. - Naan is somewhat on the drier side. This makes it sound like I don't like this place at all. But. service was great. Refilled my water and took my plates away in a timely manner. And they have mango Lassi included in the buffet, which is not common. It's not something I can experience nearby me other than here. So there is a value here, in that there is no competitor. And that's what 4 stars means to me. An above average experience. I ate everything there, figured out what things I liked, then kept eating those along with the unlimited mango Lassi. And left having a good time. Isn't that what we're all yearning for, at the end of the day?

I was driving for DoorDash and picked up an order for delivery and it smelled so good in my car that as soon as I dropped that order off, I came back here immediately for myself. I got spicy butter chicken, garlic naan and mango lassi. We also got Punjabi chicken and if I could give it 10 stars, I would. This place also has a lunch buffet so if you're around for lunch, I don't think you could go wrong either! The service was really good and I'll definitely be back!

Can you order from the menu for Lunch, or only buffet?

You can order from their menu during lunch.

Do they still offer lunch buffet and how much does it cost? I remember in the past mango lassi was included. Is it still included?

Yes they do from 1130 to 1445 ET. Infinite mango lassi and chai masala. Cost is 15 or 16 dollars if I recall correctly.

What is a lunch buffet price on Saturday?

The weekend buffet price is $14.95 and on the weekday it is $12.95. The extra $2 on the weekend is definitely worth it because I feel that there are extra dessert and entree items

    Do they have parking?

Oh yes. They are located in a strip mall. No shortage of parking

Do they have buffet for dinner?

No. Dinner has an extensive menu you can order from.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that complements the dining experience. I tried the Thattai Idli with sesame podi, and it was incredibly flavorful, satisfying, and filling. For dessert, I had the halwa, which tasted wonderfully traditional and brought back authentic flavors. It was a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but the recipe itself was spot on. My friend ordered the Paneer Lababdar, and it was easily one of the best versions I've had anywhere in this area--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I'm already planning to come back with my daughters to try their famous Family Dosa, which is so enormous that it's served across four large plates! The restaurant is about an hour's drive for me, and I can honestly say it was well worth the trip. If you're craving authentic Tamil cuisine with generous portions and excellent flavors, this place deserves a visit.

The service was awesome--our water was refilled without us having to ask, and they brought us everything we requested. The Madras 65 Biryani had great flavor. I just would have preferred the rice to have a little more bite since it was a bit mushy. Next time, I'll probably just order the Kozhi 65 appetizer because the picture made it look like it had a larger portion of chicken. The Kaalan Manchurian was very tasty. I just wish I'd ordered some rice to go with it because eating the mushrooms by themselves became a little salty after a few bites. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes, but there were two things I didn't enjoy. First, the jazz music was played on repeat and was a little too loud. I'd rather they lower the volume and maybe play Indian music instead. Kenny G on loop isn't very enjoyable. Second, I was a bit confused about the pricing. A plain dosa without filling was only $1 cheaper than one with a filling, and a side of dal was $11. That's mostly me nitpicking, though. Overall, the food was well-seasoned, the flavors were great, and the service was excellent. I'd definitely return if I were in the area.

For dessert we ordered the rice pudding, gulab jamnun, and the carrot pudding. The rice pudding was my favorite. It was very light and refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. I was very excited to see they served momos, as we've both been big fans at other Himalayan restaurants for a few years; these were just as good, being light dumplings with a savory filling and served with that deeply flavored yellow chutney sauce. The samosas were better than most we've had, with a lighter envelope and less potatoes in the filling. Included were the sweet dark chutney and the green cilantro-based chutney. We also tried the rosemary garlic naan and the onion kulcha, both fresh, soft and hot. Our mains were the lamb saag and Madras chicken curry, both excellent -- the lamb tender in a creamy thick spinach sauce, and the chicken curry big chunks of white meat in a memorable savory stew. We didn't specify spice levels, and the curry was zippy but perfectly palatable for both of us. This was a lot of food, and we continued to enjoy it as leftovers for the next few days. For all of this, our bill came to only about $75 before tip. The restaurant was quiet when we were there, with one other large table occupied. The service was quick and attentive.
