I feel that this restaurant is good and serves a unique purpose for the community, but it is difficult to give a rating. The building is not in good shape, a bit of depressing lighting, and there is a big tv with the news on, which I found charming in its own way. The best part is the samosas, and the rest... I didn't find it offensive, but it wasn't good either. And I'm not sure I would even call it Indian food. The biryani just feels like rice with dry chicken. Curry and palak paneer is very watery. I think the best description I can attempt is that it doesn't taste like restaurant food, something that you really look forward to and makes you willing to pay to eat out. However, why I feel that it's not a 1 star atrocity is because of the price point they are hitting and the service they provide for the local community: Serving kinda real food (with good relative portion size) for less than fast food prices. The people deserve affordable, real food. And I really commend this restaurant for this. If you live nearby, I can see how it can be a convenient meal. Otherwise, it's not a place to make the drive for, personally.

This review is solely based on the experience of ordering Samosas to go. Tasted both the Chicken and Veggie ones, which were very delicious! Sizes of them are pretty big compared to other places. Haven't tried any of the other food items, though. Not really sure how busy this place gets or how popular it is since the location is kind of hidden on 355, near MVA Express and shopping center next to it. Didn't see a single person in there going on a Friday around 5:30pm.

This place was amazing! Everything was fresh and aromatic. It felt like a tiny Indian grandmother cooked it. They have chaat and dishes here not commonly found.

This review is strictly for the samosas. Had them a lot but never actually gone and picked them up. It's very easy to miss this place so the photos on yelp actually helped. The samosas are the best I've had in moco and what my friends bring to every potluck. They are big, and loaded with potatoes and veggies. Just to note, but I was always used to them being $.50 per samosa and they are now $.60. Still great value but thought I'd share. Don't forgot to grab the chutneys as well to accompany them.

New TV, no longer buffet to go

Ever since…read morethe review in the Post, it has been almost impossible to not be crowded in any of the weekend nights. To ensure a non crowded time go on a Tuesday just after 5 pm. You get all the attention and can enjoy your food for a while without feeling guilty I taking too much time to savor every single delicious bite. We've tried almost all of the entrees in their menu and the hubbies favorite is the slowly braised short ribs. It's so flavorful. As for me and my friend, we love them all and can't just pick one dish. I do need to do shoutout to all of the different pizzas because, it is always cooked to perfection m, just enough char and the ingredients always stand out. The waiters and the greeters are mostly family and always never fail to welcome you. The bruschetta given at the start of the meal starts you out really good to the excellent food that is to come. And it's great that you're always assured of having at least two pieces per person because just one is definitely not enough. The tomatoes always taste as if it was picked from the summer garden at their peak. I love the fact that they have expanded so that you can now bring a bigger group to dine in.

Taste better than jarred stuff but not as good as other restaurants or homemade stuff. Lots of sauce! Carbonara was ok. One of them was under sauced (basically naked noodles. The other had a ok amount of sauce. One of them weighed a couple oz more than the other, and they both weighed several oz less than the Alfredo (on my cooking scale) All pastas came with side salads. Food was prepared fast. Never been in person .

The food was front and center and the star of the show was the wild mushroom appetizer. I will be coming back for those - mushrooms, artichokes, fig, and goat cheese ... all in a flavorful broth (like how mussels are prepared ) and they leave a piece of bread in the center to soak it all up. Incredible. We also had the salmon, eggplant, and crab ravioli and all the entrees were a home run. Service was immaculate. Every time someone finished a plate - they were right behind us ready to clear.

The entrees were very good. The salmon had a nice char, but was moist and flavorful. If you like salmon with a sauce, you'll be disappointed. I like mine simple, and this is a well-prepared salmon. The shrimp (3 large) were good. The spinach had a nice garlic flavor and the asparagus was well prepared - not mushy. The chicken Marsala also was good. The Marsala was light (not thick) and somewhat sweet. Very good. Honestly, the bread service was pretty disappointing. Our last visit the bread was fine, but this basket was pretty dried out and almost seemed stale. The oil accompanying the bread had almost no cheese in it. Essentially, you dipped tasteless bread into oil. Really disappointing. I'm not going to reduce my overall restaurant score for this one thing (because the entrees were very good), but the bread service was not good. The service was good.

Having traveled and dined across the globe, I did not expect homemade pasta, fresh espresso, and Neapolitan style pizza to be in Rockville MD. If you live within an hour drive, just take the trip and have lunch or dinner here. Try the espresso martini! I shared a cheese pizza with my daughter, my mother had the chicken piccata, my cousin the gnocchi, my father the chicken parm, my cousin had a caprese salad and the further seats I couldn't see. We all shared a few orders of the calamari. EVERYONE raved about how delicious their food was. I agree. Probably the best piccata I've tasted. The pizza was excellent. The tiramisu great. The pistachio gelato was perfect. I sure wish they were closer to Florida!! So good.

The biggest hit for me was the suppli appetizer. These are absolutely delicious and vegetarian friendly! Similar to arancini but somehow even more delicious. These are a must-order. I had the pasta alla vongole and a bite of my husband's chicken parmigiana. Our friend had mushroom ravioli that she loved, but I didn't try as I don't care for mushrooms. I've been on a clams and garlic kick lately for some reason and the vongole comes with these and bonus bacon. I would have preferred the bacon a tad crispier, but that is personal preference. I'd give this dish 4* - I would get it again but after trying some others. From the one bite the chicken parmigiana was a 5*. Their marinara is very good and the linguine in both our dishes tastes freshly made. We all split the chocolate temptation dessert and I ate more of it than I expected to, it is chocolate mousse adjacent cake with ganache frosting, very light, perfectly sweet. Often I find chocolate desserts too much after a big meal but this one wasn't heavy at all. 5* My friend ordered sangria which she thought was more like a wine cooler; too sweet for her French oenophile sensibilities and a bit lighter than a sangria usually is, but I am a pleb who loves sweet drinks and I would order it. If you are a sangria purist you might not care for it. Hubs enjoyed his old fashioned but said it needed a dash more bitters to be perfect. I was driving so enjoyed a non-dirty Shirley. Prices to me are reasonable for quality and portion size; our tab ended up high because of the appetizer, drinks and dessert but if you just had pizza or pasta with soda it would be pretty affordable. I will be back to get more suppli and try other dishes!
