This is a spot in the food court at Annapolis mall. It is easy to order between burgers, wraps, bowls. I got the lamb and chicken rice bowl and the meat was very tender and very flavorful. I got the mint and spicy sauce to top my food. The spicy sauce was very spicy even for me and I regularly eat spicy food. It was perfect for me but something to be aware of. The traditional white sauce could have balanced that. The mint sauce that I got didn't have that much flavor too it. The rice was buttery and the salad was basic. The proportion was pretty good size, though I would have been pleased with a tad bit more of the lamb. The dish did last me two days. read more

Food seemed fresher than some local halal restaurants. The mixed (chicken & lamb) was delicious. No complaints! I thought it may have been too much veggies, but the proportioned amount provides a good balance. I forgot to take pretty pic...thankfully someone else did. The gentlemen at the counter were helpful, patient and proud of their product (with good reason). It's nice for a mall, food-court option. It's well lit and stood out from the other options (mostly chains). I wish them success and I will definitely be returning!! Almost forgot...they have a points earning system...not sure how much needs to be earned to redeem. Give it a try and let us know what you think read more

Surprisingly I really enjoyed their Halal Lamb platter with salad. I say surprisingly because I don't expect much from a food court. I hardly eat at one these days. However, I found myself at the mall and really enjoyed this meal. You get a healthy portion of lamb over a light brown rice topped with special white sauce. Yummy! Check them out. read more

This was my first time eating here, and all I can say is BE CAREFUL WITH THE HOT SAUCE. I love halal and spice, and my usual order is a chicken and lamb combo, heavy on the white and hot sauce, so that's what I went with here. I'm gonna start by saying this is a welcome addition to a food court and a mall that has seen lots of turnover in recent years as well as a community with a serious lack of diverse food options. I saw this place was open the other night when I went to the movies and made a mental note because I was familiar with the Baba's Halal at the Towson Mall. Tonight, I got a carry out order and I am happy to report this location lives up to their reputation. The meat was savory, salty, and served on a fluffy pita. There was also some nice veg on the gyro to add some freshness / texture to cut through the saltiness and creaminess of the white sauce. The sauce, by the way, is addicting -- be sure to get an extra side of it because you're gonna want it. As for the fries that came with the gyro, they're not anything special and it's nice that they come complimentary with sandwiches, but I would have been disappointed if I had paid for them on the side (as is the case when you order a plate instead of a sandwich). I will say they're the crunchy seasoned variety of fry vs. a basic shoestring, so texturally they're more exciting, but they're a step below from the seasoned fries you'd get from a Popeyes for example. Maybe it's on me for going the takeout route instead of eating it right away, but that was the vibe I got. On that note, if they went the fresh, hand cut fry route, like the Five Guys does literally 50 feet away, I think it would be a game changer that I would happily pay a premium for. Overall, I am very pleased with my first experience with this location and look forward to having more meals here whenever I go to the mall (I am SO tired of Chick-Fil-A and Charley's and Chipotle). I'm trying to think of any reason not to give this place five stars, and nothing comes to mind! For $12 (mixed lamb & chicken platter), you get a TON of food! It was probably enough for two meals, but I didn't realize that going in. For only $1.75 (regular) or $2.25, you can add on a fountain soda to complete the meal. They have extras, like pita and baklava, but no way did I have any room to try those. I didn't finish the platter as it is, let alone any extras. But, it wasn't just a matter of sheer quantity. The quality was good, too. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the lamb was tasty and meaty. There's plenty of rice and enough salad to make it interesting. The white sauce, basically a tzatziki, was a perfect topping to the whole dish. The service was friendly and fast, and the dude who made my order was awesome! It's in the food court in the mall, so the scenery is what it is. But, you can't really fault them. Their own décor is pretty modern and clean-looking. Overall, it's a great new addition to the food options here at the mall. I'm glad we have it among the other stalls. And this one is at least not another meat + sides place (lookin' at you, Flamin Cajun...). read more

This place is absolutely spectacular. I've been here three times now, and each time it has been fantastic. I'm a big fan of near east food, and this is the very best I've ever had that came from a fast casual/food restaurant. The rice is extremely flavorful, the chicken and lamb are both delicious and cooked well, and the salad is always fresh. The cilantro sauce is also crazy insane good as well. Here in Annapolis for the USNA Commissioning Week/Graduation. We stopped in at the Westfield Annapolis Mall for some shopping and a quick bite to eat. The food court had the normal fare that you'd expect, but I immediately noticed the crowd gathered at Baba's Halal. I ordered the Falafel platter and took the recommendation from the woman making my food to get the white and green sauce. The food was fresh and really delicious and the service was quick and very friendly. I wish I had time in my busy schedule, this week, to come in to try some of the other items on the menu. read more

I went to the Towson location when I went to school there almost every time I went to the mall so I was ecstatic that they opened one close to home now that I'm graduated. I had takeout from Baba's and it hit all the marks for authentic and flavorful Middle Eastern food. Growing up in the NYC area, I enjoyed many Middle Eastern restaurants, and Baba's is just what Annapolis needed. I had the Falafel Platter with added chicken, and I lost count on how many times I said the meal was fabulous. The falafel was cooked perfectly, the rice was seasoned to perfection and whatever spices they used on the chicken gave it a beautiful look and wonderful taste. Food is mouth watering. They fill you up with meat. The spicy sauce is actually spicy, so proceed with caution.

This is at least as good as Naz's Halal, which is where I usually go for this type of meat-and-rice dish (as it's closer to me). Like Naz's, they offer a good fish platter (or sandwich).
