I really like this new rebrand from the old Smashing Grapes. The interior was very dark and intimate. Our server Billy was attentive and kind. He let me know about the half off wine special and half off pasta Wednesday specials as well. We ordered the salmon with Brussels sprouts wild catch dish, crab dip, and the Cheseapeake pasta. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The pasta had a rich lobster cream sauce with plenty of lump crab meat and shrimp. The crab dip was flambéed table-side and it came with hot naan chips. I'll definitely be coming back to take advantage of their specials throughout the week. I'd recommend making reservations especially if the Naval academy is having any events. Durant took great care of us on our first visit to The Lodge! Props to him first and foremost for making my girlfriend and I feel special, talking us through the menu, being attentive, and friendly! The drinks were on point! Some of the best cocktails we've had in a while. We loved the Duck Fat Fries and the Crab Dip was immaculate as well as the French Onion Soup. Unfortunately, we did have to wait a while for our entrees, and after 40 or so minutes we decided to cancel due to other obligations but still ending the dining experience on a good note. Another minor issue was with the check at the end of the meal and the Titan Hospitality rewards program. My card was ran on our voided entrees and I corrected this I ended up losing my $10 Titan reward on the wrong check. I will say, the manager on duty did mention he would speak to corporate about reimbursing me. Overall, great atmosphere, good food, awesome drinks, and Durant really did do a great job. The space is warm, stylish, and gives that upscale-but-still-comfortable vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. Not bad by any means, but nothing that really stood out or had me thinking about it later. That said, everything was presented well and came out timely. What truly elevated the experience was the service. It was phenomenal. Attentive without hovering, friendly without feeling forced--exactly what you hope for but do not always get. The highlight for me was actually after we finished eating. The manager, Richard, took the time to walk us through their event spaces, and I was genuinely impressed. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous--each with its own vibe--and the pricing felt surprisingly reasonable for what you're getting. If you are planning a celebration, this is definitely a place to consider. Overall, a great lunch date spot with top-tier service and a beautiful atmosphere. First and foremost, what caught my eye about this place is the layout--very welcoming and warm without overdoing it. I really appreciate restaurants that avoid generic designs, and this one is far from ordinary. The service was excellent. Our waitress confidently displayed her knowledge of the menu and was polite and attentive. Wait times were reasonable, and the staff in general was very helpful. Now, the food--if I had to choose one word to describe it, it would be excellent . Absolutely no complaints. Review from September 2025. I really enjoyed my visit to The Lodge in Annapolis. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting from the moment you walk up to the entrance--it feels upscale but still cozy. We ordered the Brussels sprouts to start, and they were delicious--crispy, flavorful, and tossed with the perfect mix of onions and sauce. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich for my meal, and it was seasoned well, juicy, and came out on a wooden board with a fresh pickle and veggies. The fries were hot and crispy, and everything tasted freshly made. My husband also had a burger and really enjoyed his meal too. We went with a large group and were seated in a private room. Visited for a family birthday dinner, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. They have a lot of rooms that you can reserve for a larger party that are private. Our server was great, and very attentive! Loved the crab dip, and the restaurant has a variety of weekly specials. We were there on pizza night so we each got a pizza. The pizzas were good, but I probably wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't part of the deal. Overall, a nice restaurant but just a bit pricey. read more

Stopped by *The Lodge* on a Saturday with a friend--no reservation, no wait. The space was clean, welcoming, and blissfully quiet (zero noise chaos, which felt like a luxury). The staff was kind and attentive, and things started off strong. I sampled a sweet, pear-forward Prosecco that was so good I ordered a glass immediately. Then came the flaming cheese dip--cheesy, flavorful, and served with perfectly seasoned toasted bread that honestly deserved its own spotlight. But then... the lamb. Due to a mix-up, my entrée was rushed and came out overcooked and underwhelming. Definitely not the flavor-packed chops I was hoping for. Still, despite the entrée mishap, I'll be back. Enjoyed a family outing at The Lodge recently and both times were a pleasant experience. The servers, Gabby and Tray (sp?), were both very accommodating and patient while working with a party as large as the one my family had. We were able to reserve a party room in advance so we could have privacy and enjoy one another's company in an intimate setting. Since we had a private room, the ambiance was nice and quiet/controlled outside of whatever noise we were making lol. Now onto the food -- both times I ordered the Snake Bite Pasta and it was very good (must've been if I got it twice in the span of a month lol). My fiance' ordered the Caprese flatbread pizza which was also very good. Management does a great job with ensuring that their guests are satisfied. The brunch is self-serve and you can opt for bottomless mimosas. The self-serve brunch station includes typical fare: an omelet station, thick cut bacon, a waffle station, bagels and a toaster, delicious fresh fruit and a hearty, fresh salad, a roast beef carving station in addition to shrimp and grits, The fruit and salad were fresh and delicious. I had seconds the fruit was ripe and amazing. Shrimp and grits were yummy, I went back for seconds and thirds. Desserts are located on a bar, across the restaurant. A variety of frosted 1-bite cupcakes and iced cookies are available. I was disappointed by the dessert offerings. The cookies looked like they were store bought. The Titan group hit another one out the park. If you are used to black wall hitch the barn in and lodge or smashing grapes you will not be disappointed. Went there on Valentine's Day and they were super busy, but that did not stop the quality of the food or the service. Our server, Gabby was attentive, cheerful, and one of the best! The managers came around a few times to check on us to make sure that everything was going well. One made sure that my wife got a Rose which was icing on the cake. I've gotta say, at this point, I'm so confused by the connection between Black Wall HItch, Blackwall Barn & Lodge, and the Lodge. I'm pretty sure they're all sister restaurants. But...... that's neither here nor there. They are all good IMO. However, the set-up here is a bit confusing. To get oysters, shrimp, or desserts you'll have to go to the other side of the restaurant. You can't see them from the main area where brunch is served so you'll have to ask, or just follow everybody else. Ha! Our reservation (I was here with a group of 8 friends) was for 1230, but we weren't seated until approximately 1310. If I wasn't so hungry, I would have been chill. But when you come to a place like this you tend to skimp on the food the day before. Well, I do anyway. They probably impose a time restriction so I felt they should have enforced it on the party before us. Anyway, we were finally seated and headed for some food! My favorite meal at all of these restaurants is always the shrimp & grits! This particular spot did not disappoint. They also added cajun sausage. Yum! I had to use another spoon to grab some of the broth to pour over my grits. They had a slotted spoon to use for the shrimp (who does that)?! My second favorite is the baby waffles. I don't know what type of batter they use, but they always taste homemade. ADD the options of berries, whip cream & real maple syrup....I'm done! Everything I ate was delicious. However, I've concluded that the oysters served at these brunches are not the same as those I would order at, say an oyster bar. I don't know how they do it, but they never taste the same. They lack the brine and flavor of oysters you PAY for at other places. I had a few only to once again prove my hypothesis. Overall, it's a decent brunch. read more

The drinks were decent but a bit too sweet for me. The BBQ salmon was delicious and the portions were great. There is a charge for the water they offer when you initially come into the restaurant and they charge a cash versus a non-cash price, which I haven't seen in a restaurant. This was my second time visiting The Lodge Annapolis. The service has been great both times and the food was very good as well. I love that they have different specials on different days of the week as well as happy hour specials. This time I got the short rib special. This was a round flat bread as opposed to thr more rectangular flat bread that I am accustomed to, but i still enjoyed it very much. I don't remeber the type of flat bread that my friend got (maybe shrimp scampi...but dont quote me..lol), but it is also pictured and they said it was good as well. My oh my, where do I start We had Rachel as a server - she was TREMENDOUS. It was our first time, so she went over the menu with us - gave us insights and favorites. She was great at describing what we were expecting down to the flavors. They started us with cheddar bay biscuits, love at first bite if I'm being honest. Drinks, I have an Arnold Palmer with mango - it was so fresh. My husband had a Moscow mule with blueberry. We had the calamari and the flaming crab dip - Calamari was incredible, crispy and not too much breading, the chili sauce had a kick but was so incredible. - Flaming crab dip- creamy and delicate. The bread was great too! For an entree I did the Red Brick Chicken, it felt like Thanksgiving dinner. Portion sizes were great, plenty for leftovers and the food was so tasty. The chicken was moist and tender (cooked thoroughly not watery), the vegetables were so fresh and sautéed perfectly: the potatoes were comparable to clouds. Truly exceptional and buttered to perfection. My husband had the scallop & shrimp risotto, he said the flavors were blended perfectly, the seafood fresh. The sauce was creamy and tasteful. A top menu pick. We had no room for dessert so I unfortunately don't have a review for that. But overall, it was the best place we've gone to in Annapolis for a fresh dinner. My family and I went to the lodge last night to celebrate my dads birthday early since I will be out of town next week. We were able to be seated before our reservation which was nice, but our server, Chris, was very busy with his couple tables. The drinks and food all took a while to come out. I ordered the strawberry hibiscus rum punch as my drink, had the French onion soup as my appetizer (probably the best thing all night), and the short rib ragu special for my entree. I am not sure if the restaurant is short staffed, has a lot of new employees, or was just behind on everything last night. As I previously mentioned, everything took a while and when the entrees came out for the table, one of the guests at my table had asked for a different dressing than what the salad came with and then we flagged down who we thought was a manager and asked for what dressing she has asked for. He brought out a different dressing than what it was before and it still wasn't right... the noodles on my short rib ragu entree were a little undercooked (I'm not sure if this is just my personal preference or how they were cooked) and it was a really large portion. By the time we finished our food and everything, it seemed like our waiter was a little hard to find... As much as we liked the ambiance of the restaurant, I do not think we will return to the lodge or their other restaurants from our recent experiences. read more
