    Beautiful Layout

Beautiful and unique ambiance with excellent service. If you don't want to read the details, it's definitely a place to check out if you're in the area. First and foremost, what caught my eye about this place is the layout--very welcoming and warm without overdoing it. I really appreciate restaurants that avoid generic designs, and this one is far from ordinary. The service was excellent. Our waitress confidently displayed her knowledge of the menu and was polite and attentive. Wait times were reasonable, and the staff in general was very helpful. Now, the food--if I had to choose one word to describe it, it would be excellent . Absolutely no complaints. Portion-to-price ratio, taste, presentation, and the pairing of components were all spot-on. For reference, we tried the Catch of the Day, the Chef's Special, and the Snake Bite Pasta.

Review from September 2025. I really enjoyed my visit to The Lodge in Annapolis. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting from the moment you walk up to the entrance--it feels upscale but still cozy. We ordered the Brussels sprouts to start, and they were delicious--crispy, flavorful, and tossed with the perfect mix of onions and sauce. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich for my meal, and it was seasoned well, juicy, and came out on a wooden board with a fresh pickle and veggies. The fries were hot and crispy, and everything tasted freshly made. My husband also had a burger and really enjoyed his meal too. We went with a large group and were seated in a private room. The servers were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is clean with a stylish lodge-like vibe. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Me and my family visit for a birthday and Mikela was our server. She did an amazing job and the food was delicious! The were very accommodating to all 9 of us.

Stopped by *The Lodge* on a Saturday with a friend--no reservation, no wait. The space was clean, welcoming, and blissfully quiet (zero noise chaos, which felt like a luxury). The staff was kind and attentive, and things started off strong. I sampled a sweet, pear-forward Prosecco that was so good I ordered a glass immediately. Then came the flaming cheese dip--cheesy, flavorful, and served with perfectly seasoned toasted bread that honestly deserved its own spotlight. But then... the lamb. Due to a mix-up, my entrée was rushed and came out overcooked and underwhelming. Definitely not the flavor-packed chops I was hoping for. Still, despite the entrée mishap, I'll be back. The Lodge has promise--and with a proper order, I'm betting they can deliver a truly great meal.

The Service is impeccable and our server Payton was incredibly professional, pleasant smile, and extremely knowledgeable. Great food choices as well. This experience will have us coming back time and time again! She's a credit to the Lodge's establishment Thank You "Spoon"

This place man o man! What a place! I had the best service, good food, the ambiance was perfect. Our waitress was so informative about the specials and menu. The crab dip was really good and served with naan bread. My friend loved her pizza, it was perfect. I had the braised shot rib. The only thing I would change about this dish would be the mashed potatoes, a little more flavor would be nice or make them garlic mashed potatoes. I was so full I took a doggie bag home lol we both did! I had an amazing mocktail that was delicious! I can't wait to dine there again!

Enjoyed a family outing at The Lodge recently and both times were a pleasant experience. The servers, Gabby and Tray (sp?), were both very accommodating and patient while working with a party as large as the one my family had. We were able to reserve a party room in advance so we could have privacy and enjoy one another's company in an intimate setting. Since we had a private room, the ambiance was nice and quiet/controlled outside of whatever noise we were making lol. Now onto the food -- both times I ordered the Snake Bite Pasta and it was very good (must've been if I got it twice in the span of a month lol). My fiance' ordered the Caprese flatbread pizza which was also very good. Management does a great job with ensuring that their guests are satisfied. If you haven't had a chance, I would give it a try.

I've gotta say, at this point, I'm so confused by the connection between Black Wall HItch, Blackwall Barn & Lodge, and the Lodge. I'm pretty sure they're all sister restaurants. But...... that's neither here nor there. They are all good IMO. However, the set-up here is a bit confusing. To get oysters, shrimp, or desserts you'll have to go to the other side of the restaurant. You can't see them from the main area where brunch is served so you'll have to ask, or just follow everybody else. Ha! Our reservation (I was here with a group of 8 friends) was for 1230, but we weren't seated until approximately 1310. If I wasn't so hungry, I would have been chill. But when you come to a place like this you tend to skimp on the food the day before. Well, I do anyway. They probably impose a time restriction so I felt they should have enforced it on the party before us. Anyway, we were finally seated and headed for some food! My favorite meal at all of these restaurants is always the shrimp & grits! This particular spot did not disappoint. They also added cajun sausage. Yum! I had to use another spoon to grab some of the broth to pour over my grits. They had a slotted spoon to use for the shrimp (who does that)?! My second favorite is the baby waffles. I don't know what type of batter they use, but they always taste homemade. ADD the options of berries, whip cream & real maple syrup....I'm done! Everything I ate was delicious. However, I've concluded that the oysters served at these brunches are not the same as those I would order at, say an oyster bar. I don't know how they do it, but they never taste the same. They lack the brine and flavor of oysters you PAY for at other places. I had a few only to once again prove my hypothesis. Overall, it's a decent brunch.

I am glad we did. First off, looks can be deceiving. Part of the reason I've never come here before is because from outside, it looks like a dodgy sports bar. And while the inside is most definitely for sports fans, with plenty of memorabilia and TVs, imagine my shock when I got a taste of the service, the food, and the overall vibe of the establishment. Our server was a very nice young woman who did a great job of checking on us without coming off as overeager. My brother and I aren't big drinkers, but that didn't dissuade her from not giving us as much attention as other patrons with bigger tabs. I ordered the french dip and my brother got boneless wings tossed in the honey old bay sauce. This is definitely elevated bar food (with great portion sizes to boot): my sandwich had freshly baked bread and came with fresh cut fries and a savory au jus. My brother commented and said his wings tasted like they were battered and fried to order. The prices are moderate -- given the level of service, the taste of the food, and the portions, we definitely felt like we got our money's worth. I'm happy to add this to place to my rotation -- just proof once again that sometimes the best places are the most unassuming!

Alexander's once before, and it was good enough for me to come back--and it did not disappoint. For this area, the cost was surprisingly budget‑friendly, especially considering the quality. The town center around it has clearly changed, with several stores and restaurants closed and even the old adjacent parking lot gone. But once we walked inside, the experience was excellent. Our server was friendly, helpful, and honest with her recommendations. My daughter and I both ordered the Chicken Palermo, and it was outstanding--fresh, tasty, and served in portions that rival anything back home in Texas. The broccoli was delicious, and I swapped one side for Brussels sprouts, which were just as good.

For a restaurant with a full bar, it was surprising they had no mezcal and were supposedly out of top-shelf bourbon, yet still served me a drink that tasted overly sweet and nothing like the premium bourbon I ordered. Another letdown was the lack of bread service. Other J. Alexander's locations usually serve croissants, so having none available took away from the experience. The food didn't make up for it either. The steak lacked flavor and felt low quality for the price. The "fried chicken platter" was basically oversized chicken tenders marketed as an entrée, and the mac and cheese was watery and bland instead of rich and creamy. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and poorly executed. Between the missing staples, questionable bar service, and underwhelming food, this location did not feel worth the cost.

Full On Craft Eats. The Toast online ordering system was easy to navigate and adorned with pictures of every menu item. I could not get past the onion rings on the starter menu hoping they would taste as good as they looked. My friend offered to split the Slammin Salmon sandwich and onion rings since she has had it before and never finished the entire thing. I took her up on it and the order was placed. A quick ask for mom to grab it on the way home and the food made its way back quickly. WOW is all I can say. When you order food to go there is a level of expectation that it will not be as good as it is at the restaurant, especially fries and onion rings. But in this instance WOW. Talk about food that travels well. Fourteen minutes away and the food was still warm, the onion rings were so crisp, and the garlic and dill aioli and onion ring sauce were just right. The Slammin Salmon was served on ciabatta bread that was not too soft not too hard, with salmon cooked perfectly. The lemon dill aioli was a game changer so much that my friend's advice to order extra was well received and committed to memory. The onion rings lived up to the hype, cooked perfectly with a crust I cannot even explain. The kind you bite into without losing the entire onion from the breading. Dip it into the sauce and you have a match made in heaven. Half the sandwich was more than enough but the next day I would have loved some leftovers. Now for the extra razzle dazzle. I left to visit a friend in DC and sent him the menu, shared my experience and he was locked in to try. Online ordering was closed since they were closing at 10pm so I called as a last-ditch effort since the anticipation was already there. The nicest most warm individual answered ten minutes before closing and was more than happy to take my order. She even made sandwich recommendations. I quickly arrived at a shopping center that was easy to get in and out of. Walking in you immediately arrive at the counter and takeout area to your left with a nice bar area a short walk past on the right. The cooks and wait staff were having the best time using the 6/7 saying that was all over social media late last year. They were considerate when they noticed I was in the restaurant, but I assured them I loved their energy. I see why the food is so good because the energy shows it was made with great vibes and laughter all around. As I grabbed the bag to leave the hostess stopped me to add another fork and extra napkins since I would need them to add the pickled veggies on my sandwich. Such a nice touch. Thirty plus minutes to DC and the food still did not need to be reheated. The Mai Thai sandwich was a hit with flavors that married well and the onion rings delivered again. The Spicy Thai wings were good for wings but typical. They had a lot to compete with.
