There was a lot of meat in my Colorado omlette and the hot chocolate was good as always. I personally prefer my waffle more crispy, but it isn't bad. There was one server, so service wasn't the quickest, just okay enough to deal with. My only real complaint is that I was charged $1.29 for salsa that did not have any tomato chunks in it. The price may seem measly to the bill, but it's still annoying, considering that other IHOPS don't charge that. I normally do not like patronizing chain restaurants, but most of them are open late, and that lends some value to chains. While on vacation in Washington, D.C., my family and I took advantage of the memorials being open 24 hours a day and visited them at 2 AM until sunrise. This ended up being about six miles of walking in D.C.'s summer humidity. We were tired, sweaty, and hungry by the end of this twilight tour. Lo and behold, a chain like IHOP is open late/early! We stopped at this location and were more than satisfied. The staff was friendly, the location is clean, and the food was delicious! I had the spinach and mushroom omelet and hash browns. This ihop is visible from my hotel window and less than a block away. I have found myself in this very hotel, same room, staying 7 days a time, at least 10 times over that last 2 years. I came for a weeknight dinner, when this IHOP was fairly empty. Let me start by saying that the service was great. The staff were attentive and friendly. The dishes themselves were as mediocre as you'd expect. They tasted like food that has been carefully approved by corporate to be bland and inoffensive. The sausage was very salty, while the syrups (I loved them as a kid!) were overly sweet. The pancakes and scrambled eggs were fluffy but relatively tasteless. I liked the hash browns, which are obviously made from preshredded frozen potatoes. The decor also left a lot to be desired. The restaurant seemed clean and in good condition (again, props to the staff), but the ambiance was not great. There is a lot of faux wood and muted, somewhat dark colors. The lights seemed overly dim. The radio played a bunch of depressing songs (ie 'Because of You' by Kelly Clarkson). Some light muzak would've been much better! And maybe a fresh coat of paint to make the restaurant more cheery. You probably already know if you want to come to IHOP or not. Was not impressed with the food here. I generally like IHOP but found what we ordered disappointing. It's nice that there's free parking and the service was ok, but I don't think it's managed well. We were waiting to get seated and realized someone should have been taken care of first. Thankfully they seated him and then took care of us. The atmosphere is what you would expect; nothing remarkable. When we got our food, the orders were wrong (adjustments weren't made, like no pickles for me) and there was no flavor. None of us finished our food. Again, disappointed. I had the chicken biscuit sandwich. My wife had the avocado toast, which had large slices of avocado and the "toast" was just bread. My husband, some friends, and I came in for dinner recently after a long day. The group included three active-duty Marines and myself -- I'm currently pregnant -- so naturally, we were all very hungry and ordered a good amount of food. Between the four of us, we ordered multiple entrees, some of which we ate right away and some we took to go. Unfortunately, our server made several uncomfortable comments about how much food we were ordering. At one point, they even told us we shouldn't order so much, which felt really inappropriate and unnecessary. It made me personally feel very anxious and self-conscious, especially since I already have a sensitive relationship with food. We were polite, we were hungry, and we were paying customers -- we just wanted to enjoy a meal without judgment. I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but I do think it's important for staff to understand that commenting on guests' food choices -- especially in a negative or judgmental tone -- can be really harmful. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable while dining out. We love IHOP, but this experience left a sour taste. The food was delicious just not the best for service read more

Came here on a Sunday morning around 11am with some friends. They told us it was a 25 minute wait, but we got seated in 10 minutes. The speciality at IHOP is the pancakes, and that was the best part. We got cinnamon roll, chocolate chip, and pumpkin pancakes. Our favorite was the pumpkin- it was a seasonal flavor, and not too sweet. Everything else wasn't great. The breakfast burrito lacked flavor and was extremely dry. The eggs and bacon as well. We usually go to IHOP for the pancakes, and next time will stick to those. I mean, it's IHOP, lol. What can you really expect? I was a bit hungry while on a late night walk with a friend so we decided to stop by IHOP. Surprised to see that the 2x2x2 was $9.49 or $9.99 but whatever, cravings are cravings. I wanted 2 over easy eggs, 2 sausage links, and 2 pancakes. However, I got scrambled eggs instead, which is fine. I still liked them so I was okay with it. Surprisingly, the eggs were pretty tasty and weren't overcooked and dry. Walked into establishment after a long day of traveling and work to grab a quick coffee. No one was at the front to greet incoming guests. After waiting, I decided to go to the restroom in hopes of someone being there once I got back to be seated. While headed to the restroom, the hostess took the initiative to jump in front of me to block me from walking towards the restaurant rudely assuming that I had no intention of being a guest. Your standard IHOP. I typically only come here at 2/3am in the morning. My go-to is the Smokehouse Combo- cannot recommend it enough (especially when drunk). Main issue is that the service is spotty. It takes a while for anyone to realize/stop by to see that you need more water. Sometimes food comes quick and sometimes it takes a while. However, this might just be due to the time of day at which I go. read more

Anyway, since February, I have experimented with many of their menu items, the majority of which I have very much enjoyed. ~ Jr. cupcake combo: this is basically funfetti pancakes drizzled in icing. It's birthday cake in pancake format. Order it. ~ NY cheesecake pancakes: also delicious. Infused with gooey cheesecake bits that melt wonderfully when you warm it up. ~ Raspberry white chocolate chip pancakes: lovely. They give you raspberry topping to drizzle on top of it. Again, better when warmed up. ~ Red velvet pancakes: the first time I ever ordered these, they came with icing and were phenomenal. Every time since, they've come with some weird whipped cream nonsense that isn't helpful at all. If you get these, definitely request the icing. They're bland without. ~ Brioche French toast: pretty basic. Not bad, though, judging by the fact that it has appeared repeatedly in my GrubHub order history. I must have at least kind of liked it. ~ Banana crepes with Nutella: did not like. The crepes were way too eggy - it basically tasted like eating eggs with Nutella on them. I licked off the Nutella and threw out the crepes. All in all though, my experiences with this IHOP have lived up to my lifelong expectations of what IHOP should be (I grew up in an IHOP-less area and always dreamed of trying their famed breakfast foods.) This ihop has been in my life a while. It's near where I grew up and close to my old high school. Basically I've gone there a lot. It's simple and it's open late. But the service has always been terrible. A while ago I swore I'd never go back. I'd spend $10-12 dollars for a terrible experience. Recently Arlington has undergone renovations and apparently ihop was on that list so I'd figure i would give it one more chance. Sadly ihop exceeded my expectations, it was even worse than before! My friends and I decided to go and we're 1 party out of max 5. Very empty restaurant with at least 2 servers available. We were seated at a table with forks and knives, then had to wait 20 minutes to get menus, and another 20 to actually place our orders. There were ants all over our booth and we had to use the straw wrappers as napkins (we were never given any). Our waiter wasn't table touching and never even asked how the food was. I worked at a restaurant where we all split tips and I interacted with tables more! When we finally finished our food it took at least another 20 minutes to flag down our waitress and beg her to bring us the checks. Hands down a terrible experience that I would wish upon nobody. And with prices similar to silver diner I can't see the appeal. And for those who might think it can't be that bad I've gone before and had a fly in my water. my server never came back around so I had to actually get up and get my glass switched. Anyway it was so bad I didn't get a picture of my food but I did get all the gross stuff that happened while I was there. Have not stepped foot into an IHOP for decades and expected to face stacks of mediocre-tasting pancakes and no other choice when I came in with a group. Boy have things changed! Or maybe this specific IHOP is different, as they have a sign prominently stating that each IHOP is individually managed. The pancakes are still there, but the menu has expanded a lot beyond pancakes. The eggs Benedict were quite great. The servings were ample, and the prices are definitely reasonable. This restaurant needs to clarify that there is NO INDOOR DINING between 11 PM and 7 AM. Only pick-up. This was lousy as I've never seen this with an IHOP ever. Granted staffing might be an issue but I was able to go over to Bob's & Edith's 24-Hour Diner about three miles away and had no issue at 5:45 AM.
