The fish and chips were surprisingly delicious! Did not expect that from an American diner. Can't wait to come back and order again. The waffles and hash browns were also very nice. Syrups tasted artificial but not a deal breaker. Coffee was satisfactory. Very friendly staff. Nice cosey modern ambiance.
I wasn't sure what to expect here, since I had a bad experience at the other location in Richmond Highway, but this was actually really good for a weeknight. I hope it's the same for the weekends. There was a lot of meat in my Colorado omlette and the hot chocolate was good as always. I personally prefer my waffle more crispy, but it isn't bad. There was one server, so service wasn't the quickest, just okay enough to deal with. My only real complaint is that I was charged $1.29 for salsa that did not have any tomato chunks in it. The price may seem measly to the bill, but it's still annoying, considering that other IHOPS don't charge that. Seeing salsa just sitting under the counter in small sauce containers mean it isn't fresh.
Came here after visiting the beer hall across the street with a very large group, at least ten, and we were seated immediately. Our server was incredibly friendly and accommodating, as were the rest of the staff, we had a wonderful time! Our food was great, came out quickly and everyone left happy!
I normally do not like patronizing chain restaurants, but most of them are open late, and that lends some value to chains. While on vacation in Washington, D.C., my family and I took advantage of the memorials being open 24 hours a day and visited them at 2 AM until sunrise. This ended up being about six miles of walking in D.C.'s summer humidity. We were tired, sweaty, and hungry by the end of this twilight tour. Lo and behold, a chain like IHOP is open late/early! We stopped at this location and were more than satisfied. The staff was friendly, the location is clean, and the food was delicious! I had the spinach and mushroom omelet and hash browns. I stayed at a nearby luxury hotel with an omelet station, and IHOP's omelet blew theirs out of the water. Restrooms were really clean as well, as they require a security code.
This ihop is visible from my hotel window and less than a block away. I have found myself in this very hotel, same room, staying 7 days a time, at least 10 times over that last 2 years. Yup - I've stayed in this very room (for military / work), like 70-80 nights of my life. And this ihop just taunts me every time... and that's ok. When traveling, not wanting to break the bank, not wanting to change out of sweat pants lol, there's nothing better than a walking distance from hotel ihop. I don't care if it's 6am or 6pm - don't even act like yall don't like just a huge old stack of pancakes. Service was great. Place was clean. Menu was as full as always (they have so many pancakes lol). I can never get enough pancakes. Add some eggs and bacon on the side? Yuuup. Always a good value, and always friendly staff. Would and will go back
I came for a weeknight dinner, when this IHOP was fairly empty. Let me start by saying that the service was great. The staff were attentive and friendly. The dishes themselves were as mediocre as you'd expect. They tasted like food that has been carefully approved by corporate to be bland and inoffensive. The sausage was very salty, while the syrups (I loved them as a kid!) were overly sweet. The pancakes and scrambled eggs were fluffy but relatively tasteless. I liked the hash browns, which are obviously made from preshredded frozen potatoes. The decor also left a lot to be desired. The restaurant seemed clean and in good condition (again, props to the staff), but the ambiance was not great. There is a lot of faux wood and muted, somewhat dark colors. The lights seemed overly dim. The radio played a bunch of depressing songs (ie 'Because of You' by Kelly Clarkson). Some light muzak would've been much better! And maybe a fresh coat of paint to make the restaurant more cheery. You probably already know if you want to come to IHOP or not. This location is fine to feed your craving, as long as you've got realistic expectations about the food. This place is packed on weekends, so they're doing something right here.
Below average pancakes. I don't think I'll be coming back as there are better options else where. It's a plus they are open later but not 24/7, that only applies to take out.
Was not impressed with the food here. I generally like IHOP but found what we ordered disappointing. It's nice that there's free parking and the service was ok, but I don't think it's managed well. We were waiting to get seated and realized someone should have been taken care of first. Thankfully they seated him and then took care of us. The atmosphere is what you would expect; nothing remarkable. When we got our food, the orders were wrong (adjustments weren't made, like no pickles for me) and there was no flavor. None of us finished our food. Again, disappointed. I had the chicken biscuit sandwich. My wife had the avocado toast, which had large slices of avocado and the "toast" was just bread. And my son's spinach and mushroom omelette was missing the hollandaise sauce, which is why he ordered it. It was a sad experience, and we may never go to an IHOP again.
This place is such a solid restaurant, decent quality food for a cheap price in under ten minutes. The workers are all so nice, caring and hardworking. There's always beautiful decorations for the seasons too!
Came here on a Sunday morning around 11am with some friends. They told us it was a 25 minute wait, but we got seated in 10 minutes. The speciality at IHOP is the pancakes, and that was the best part. We got cinnamon roll, chocolate chip, and pumpkin pancakes. Our favorite was the pumpkin- it was a seasonal flavor, and not too sweet. Everything else wasn't great. The breakfast burrito lacked flavor and was extremely dry. The eggs and bacon as well. We usually go to IHOP for the pancakes, and next time will stick to those. It was packed inside, but the food came out pretty quick and the servers were very nice. Overall, it was exactly what I expected from an IHOP!
I mean, it's IHOP, lol. What can you really expect? I was a bit hungry while on a late night walk with a friend so we decided to stop by IHOP. Surprised to see that the 2x2x2 was $9.49 or $9.99 but whatever, cravings are cravings. I wanted 2 over easy eggs, 2 sausage links, and 2 pancakes. However, I got scrambled eggs instead, which is fine. I still liked them so I was okay with it. Surprisingly, the eggs were pretty tasty and weren't overcooked and dry. The sausage links were super sad (see picture). They tasted good but looked extremely disappointing. Pancakes weren't as fluffy as I remembered, but they satisfied my cravings. Overall, very average. IHOP is for degenerate hours!
I had so many banana bunkers I didn't know what to do with myself. These pancakes were too cool for color tv. Heavens to Betsy, this protein had me actin unwise
Walked into establishment after a long day of traveling and work to grab a quick coffee. No one was at the front to greet incoming guests. After waiting, I decided to go to the restroom in hopes of someone being there once I got back to be seated. While headed to the restroom, the hostess took the initiative to jump in front of me to block me from walking towards the restaurant rudely assuming that I had no intention of being a guest. I gladly paid for the coffee I originally came in for but service made the coffee taste much less pleasurable than it should have. It's a terrible feeling to have someone assume the worst of you before even being greeted like a human being walking into a place of business.

After inviting people over at the end of Saturday night, I decided to crash at my buddy's place. The morning after, I was in need of a quick breakfast option as I had to drive an hour back to Baltimore. IHOP was the first thing that popped into my head, so I headed here. They were pretty busy, but not to the point where we had to wait to be seated. We got our water and coffee, and ordered our breakfast dishes. I stuck to a healthy and light option, while my buddy picked the breakfast sampler. My meal was made well, and it satiated me. The coffee got me going, of which I drank about four cups. My buddy said his meal was pretty good too. A good IHOP experience, I would recommend it for a Sunday morning breakfast option. read more

I went to IHOP on a Friday morning for a breakfast. This location was cleanand conveniently located next to Ballston Metro Station. I chose 2 overeasy eggs with 2 Turkey bacon and 2 pancakes. Pros: Everything was prompt and tasted good. The hostess was extremely attentive and proactive in our needs. Her attitude was bright and it really added to our experience. Cons: the place is small, so during busy times expect long wait. Also, their parking lot is small and parking around here can be difficult sometimes. We will be back for those days when we need a breakfast out of the house. read more
I have been to this IHOP at least 3 different times and had take out twice. My most recent takeout experience was quite impressive. I placed my order through the IHOP website. I recommend doing that as they have promo codes available. I ordered the seasonal pancake combo, the spicy poblano omelette, and a side of hickory smoked bacon. I went in to pick up my order. It was ready when I got there. The hostess asked if I wanted any additional condiments. Then I was on my way. When I got home and opened my order I was very pleased. The containers used by IHOP are NICE! They have clear lids so you can see the food and have different compartments for different items. For example, my combo was in one container that had my eggs, hash browns, and meat on the bottom and my pancakes on top in an attached container. How nice is that? That kept my pancakes nice and fluffy without them touching my other items. Now for the food, it was great! I ordered the pumpkin pancakes. They were lovely, soft, fluffy, not overly pumpkin flavored just right. They tasted better than the regular ones to me. Oh, I did try their new sweet and spicy syrup I had to ask the hostess for it because I couldn't order it online. The syrup tasted like syrup with cayenne pepper in it. I would not recommend it except maybe for chicken and waffles. The side items tasted great. The eggs done just right, the hash browns, and bacon were not burnt or overly crispy. The omelette was a good portion and delicious. They didn't skimp on the avocado. The one thing I'll say is maybe the meat in the omelette could be more flavorful, and juicy. It seemed a bit dry. However, all in all it was a great experience. This neighborhood IHOP is one of the good eggs of the company. I'd say stop in or order if in the mood for some good IHOP food. Not a big fan of chains but the husband convinced me to give IHOP a try. Menu... As thick as a novel, so many selections, it's hard to select a choice. I did appreciate all of the pictures for each menu item. Service- ok customer service, but the waitress we had was not as attentive and it was hard getting our order taken, ketchup or any refills I had a dirty mug My coffee came on a cup with bright pink lipstick stains, it was definitely a turnoff, had to ask for a to go cup. Food, it was good overall, not very fresh but good. The prices were reasonable for what we had. read more

Almost two years ago, I wrote the following as a review of the IHOP in Chantilly, Virginia: -------------------------------------- First, this is the only place open all night (24 hours a day, every day) in this part of Chantilly. But that is not the only reason to go. The restaurant is rather clean (and VERY clean for an "open 24 hours" option). The servers are nice and competent, and the food comes out fast. It is IHOP food, so standard "chain rules" apply to reading this review of mine (see my other reviews of chain steakhouses and such, which to some degree apply to chain restaurants in general). The food is like that at all IHOP's, though it is prepared well, within that range. If you like IHOP food, you will like it here. There are lighter options (a salad, omelets with only vegetables in them, etc.) if you want that (and that too will be prepared well, if you order it). Don't order anything even a little off-menu, like a grilled cheese sandwich, they will screw it up. But, if you like (or really like) IHOP food, prepared consistent (and consistently good), and especially if you need dinner at, say, 3:30 AM, you cannot do better than this place, in Chantilly. And even when it is light outside, and you just want to eat pancakes or something, this is a good option. I wondered about the score I was gonna give. I would have given them 3.5 stars if I could have. But, because of the rules of the grading matrix here at Yelp, I gave them 4 stars. They certainly deserve a higher score than 2.5 stars. Late at night, you should stop by! ------------------------------------- Everything at **this** IHOP is about as good as what I describe above. The service may be (even) a little better. Obviously, there are more late night/all night options in Clarendon/Ballston (than in Chantilly!). I cannot really make a comparison on somewhat off-menu items, between the Chantilly IHOP and the North Arlington IHOP, because I have never ordered anything off-menu here. Outside of all that, things are pretty similar at both. read more

When I first moved to the US, iHop was the very first diner I went to they had me at steak omelette. Some two years later, iHop is not as magical to me because I have eaten at other diners since then, but at least this location is reliably sufficient. Split Decision combo and breakfast combo with potatoes substituted for hash browns were both good, but somehow I found my Split Decision not very filling. The split booth set up here is kind of weird to me, if only because it greatly reduces the seat space. Luckily neither of us is huge, but some diners might find these split booths way too cramped. Plenty of parking, better than average customer service, and clean. We'd go back! read more

Update! 1 year later and we are so, so thrilled to be back and see Saba again! Restaurant is very busy and there was no parking in the lot, so we paid to park on the street. We were still seated immediately and the entire staff is hustling with smiles. Restaurant and restrooms were clean despite the high traffic. Food arrived fast and was delicious. Saba was our waitress, so our service was amazing. read more

Omg. This is what I wasted my lunch break on. It was hard using the website. So I walked there to order. The french toast was the only thing decent about the food. I decided to get onion rings for some weird reason. Just look at this. I ate the other ones but I was like this has too much batter on it. But this one right here almost killed me. This whole meal gave me a bad after taste. Recommend you starve before coming here. read more

I stopped by for to go ....I got a steak tasty very nasty, French fries are cooked on old oil tasty like a old fish. The steak was small size not flavor old and dry. I spend 20 dollars just to throw out on trash. Don't waste your time here!!! Staff very RUDE!! Nasty place with a disgusting food!!! read more

An IHOP is an IHOP, right? We stopped into this 24/7 joint before we headed out to Inauguration festivities, because it was right next to the Ballston Metro station, and because we knew we needed carbs and calories to power through all of the standing, waiting, watching, and being American we were about to be doing. It was nearly empty, save for a few other Inauguration goers, but that was at 6am on a Monday that was also a holiday. Service was fast and friendly, and the table/restaurant overall was clean. I created my own omelette, which was full of bacon, ham, and the cheddar/jack cheese combination. Except for the middle of the omelette, which was weirdly devoid of any of the above components. The outer thirds of the omelette were full of meat and cheese, but the inner third was just thin layer after thinner layer of egg. That was strange, and kind of disappointing, because the middle was sort of inedible without the extra stuff. The hash browns were awesome, and my friend enjoyed her chocolate chip pancakes. The bill came, and was about $13 or $14. Not bad. read more

Came here at 3-4am w/ 3 friends. FULL DISCLAIMER: was definitely intoxicated. But I've been to many ihops before (sober) and my experience there is usually pretty consistent! Ambience/decor: Standard ihop interior. Seemed pretty clean / didnt have to wipe off crumbs on table/seats before I sat down Service: No idea. Have no memory of interacting w/ the waitstaff. Sorry :( Food: - Hashbrowns. So good. - Eggs/bacon: Cooked exactly how I like it - Blueberry pancakes: Amazing. Fluffy w/ fresh blueberries and blueberry sauce on top Overall awesome & cheap late night/brunch/whenever breakfast food staple. Will definitely be back! read more

Let's just think about the concept of IHOP for a second. Some person somewhere decided that it would be a great idea to serve breakfast all day long. And not just ALL DAY LONG, but actually keep the place open 24/7. Brilliant! Then, they said, "let's try to keep it a classy joint." Ok, they didn't succeed in that but they definitely got a notch higher than Waffle House (another all-American gem btw). And these people are the real heroes of America. Tonight, I came from a team practice from Maryland, an hour drive, and I was starving. But it was already 11:45PM and I was devastated that at the thought of going to McDonald's again, and as I was driving and reluctantly told myself 'ok, McDonald's has some breakfast foods (my favorite) so it'll be OK." BUT as I was about to pull over I remembered that there was an IHOP only a few minutes and thank god I did. I love this IHOP for so many reasons. I found parking there, which is never that hard to do unless you go during weekend breakfast/brunch hours. I was greeted by a welcoming South Asian man who seemed so kind. He was caring, he fought for my order with the kitchen ( I ordered eggs over well, and he ensured that the mistaken eggs over easy was done right before it even came to me, I overheard this). And he checked in twice. The apple juice I ordered hit the spot, the healthy breakfast thing they had was delicious and the fruits were great. I've been here three times, another late night trip and one time right after I came home after a red-eye from California. In all these experiences, I recommend this place so highly. The hard working wait staff, the clean environment, the frikkin' amazing and brilliant business idea combined to make this always one of the best dining experiences. God Bless AMERICA! read more

After going home to Tennessee for a vacation, my fiance was so compelled to keep the chain restaurant extravaganza going. I didn't happily oblige, but I did go. Sometimes IHOP is needed especially after a 16 hour straight drive. We rolled in around 9:00AM on Tuesday morning straight off I-66. I was hungry. He was hungry. Lo and behold there is IHOP! I have ate at many IHOPs in my life time. I am not necessarily proud of this achievement, but nonetheless, it hits the spot almost every time. Today I ordered the stuffed strawberry french toast. I ate a little over half of it with Sami eating the rest of it. For me it was a little heavy for first thing in the morning. It was undoubtedly good though. Sami ordered some flap jacks, sausage and eggs. Service was good. We didn't have any trouble with anything and enjoyed our time here hence the 4 star rating. Good food and good service with no high expectations. read more

I come here at least three times a week on my day off after or before work but today I had worse experience here and it wasn't so much the server screwed up my order but by another guest she was rude because I was watching tv on my phone. read more

We were looking for a place to eat a late breakfast, and fortunately IHOP serves breakfast 24/7! The menu was much more extensive than I expected, with pages of breakfast foods as well as some lunch options. My first thought was that everything was more expensive than I had expected, but then I saw the combo meals on each page. A combo of eggs, bacon, hash browns, and 2 pancakes costs the same as a stack of 4 pancakes. Seems unorthodox, but makes the combos a good deal. I ordered chocolate chocolate chip pancakes with bacon, eggs over-easy, and hash browns. Everything was delicious. The bacon was exceptionally good, but that's not a hard thing to mess up. The eggs were perfectly cooked. I would have preferred the hash browns to have been a little browner and crispier, but they were tasty. The pancakes were sweet and fluffy, but had very few chocolate chips. We were seated right away and our server was quick and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience and I am sure I will be back! read more
