We had a great experience here for lunch! Can't beat Narragansett beers on tap, house root beer, delicious clam cakes, buttery lobster, and all the fixings. The fish, in the fish and chips is huge! read more

So very goooood. Always our first stop after we arrive at Green Airport. I grew up in RI and this restaurant is the real thing... We had stuffies (stuffed quahogs), red 'chowda' and clam cakes... just like I remembered. So good for sure. Yes, there are lots, lots more R.I. Food offerings on the menu but when you come home for a week, you stick to the basics. Include overlooking the water with great and friendly servers and you get the true R.I. vibe for sure. If you're in or visiting R.I. Iggy's is a must (there is also an Iggy's in Narragansett). Go hungry and enjoy! read more

After spending the afternoon in Eastern CT, this was a perfect weather day to drive to Warwick, catch a sunset and check out the Iggy's. As we hung out at the sea wall, we noticed a continuous line at Iggy's takeout, but we opted for the boardwalk restaurant. We were lucky to only have a moderate wait for an outside table, so we could enjoy the weather. Bread with a cinnamon butter came out (though I was hoping for the doughboys the place next door is famous for!) For entrees, I went with surf and turf-- 3 3oz filet medallions and half a lobster (literally half, cut the long way down the middle!) with a loaded baked potato and corn on the cob. Filet was done to my liking, lobster had a great buttery crumb coating, potato might have been a bit overdone, corn was tasty and buttery. Hubby had the salmon with rice pilaf and seasonal veggies. Done cajun style, it was perfectly cooked! Portions were on point, very filling. Our waitress, Brynne, was very nice, no issues with service at all. Wish we had room for dessert! Would definitely return if we came to the area again! read more

Excellent service and really good food. We really enjoyed our dinner here. Only issue was the chowder. It was lacking flavor but the rest of the meal was very enjoyable. read more

Our party of 3 came for Mother's Day lunch and walked into a crowded and bustling restaurant. Thankfully we had a reservation so there were no seating troubles. There was a special menu for Mother's Day which surprisingly didn't include any fried seafood outside of calamari, but there was - ton of options. Our table started with cups of clam chowder and an order of clam cakes, the Iggys tradition. The chowder was thick and flavorful, and the clam cakes were the perfect accompaniment. After that, we waited around 40 minutes for more food to arrive and towards the end we were wondering if our food had been forgotten or never was punched in. Our server told us that the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed, but I feel like they should've expected this on Mother's Day. Once the food arrived though, it only took a few minutes to devour the food. I had the Linguine with clams which came with chopped clams and fresh clams, the sauce was excellent as well. The oysters were plump and fresh, while the baked seafood came with scallops, lobster, stuffed shrimp and a stuffie. The side vegetables that came with the seafood platter tasted very reminiscent of what I make in my airfryer at home though. All in all, the food was excellent but the wait time was a slight disappointment in what was otherwise a great meal. read more

Have been disappointed the last two times I went here. The stuffed lobster was completely burnt underneath - I mean black. The stuffed part was ok and I ate it, but the claw meat tasted charred. They gave me $10 partial refund and doughboys as compensation. But I'd stay stick to chowder and clam cakes. Probably will be a while before I go back tho. Staff was wonderful. read more

We went here on a week night early. You need a reservations as they get very busy between 4 and 6. Great specials! We started with the raw bar. The oysters and clams were both tender and delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. Each piece was a dollar each. We should have made a whole meal of just the raw bar. We also had the clam cakes which were way too bready. Next we had the clam chowder. The New England is much better than the Manhattan. It went down hill from there. The stuffed shrimp was tasteless. The stuffing tastes as if it didn't have anything more than bread in it. The fried fish was also tasteless. The steak was thin, fatty and grizzly. Very disappointing. We will stick with the raw bar if we go again. read more

Before I begin going on about the food, one thing that confused us in the beginning was that there are actually THREE different Iggy's within 500 feet of each other: Iggy's Creamery, Iggy's Chowder House, and Iggy's Boardwalk (aka "fancy Iggy's"). We walked into Iggy's Chowder House and had trouble finding our friends, because they told us to go to "fancy Iggy's." After asking a kind server where fancy Iggy's was, she directed us a few steps down the street and we were able to find it. And fancy Iggy's is definitely a bit fancier than the Chowder House, but still pretty casual (see pictures for reference). Iggy's Boardwalk is a sit down restaurant that has all of your Rhode Island favorites: fish 'n chips, clam shells, and of course, Chowdah!!! I decided to go a different route and try the chicken marsala with almondy green beans, squash and chicken lentil soup. The entree prices were pretty hefty ($20 or more) but they all came with a soup or salad, two sides and some bread for the table. The chicken Marsala was really good - I couldn't eat the whole thing and had to take it home for later. There was also an ample drink/dessert selection (although I stuck with water). Overall, it was a nice family experience. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. Yum Yum Yum! read more

As a longtime customer of Iggy's, I was always very pleased with the food, but on the last few visits I encountered a different experience. This is what prompted me to write this review. One of my annual visits includes a delectable lobster dinner with my dear friend on her birthday. The lobster was dry, what little stuffing there was consisted of tiny bay scallops that were chewy, and the meal was overpriced. It was $147.00 for two 1.25 lb lobster's, one dessert with two scoops of ice cream, and two cokes. With tip $177.00. A further disappointment was not being given a candle for the dessert when I informed the server that it was my friend's birthday. While I was not seeking a freebie, a candle would have been a nice gesture, since we were celebrating her 92nd birthday. The atmosphere was pleasant and we were seated where we could see the water, which is always a beautiful and a tranquil sight. Despite the difficult economic times, particularly for restaurants with the cost of operating expenses and food, this experience was unacceptable and breaks my heart, as I and my family have such fond memories Iggy's. read more

Iggy's Boardwalk - Baked Stuffed Lobster - Seafood Near Me - Warwick, Rhode Island

White lobster Bisque in a seafood restaurant? Really! Tasted like they took the white clam chowder broth and just added a few pieces of lobster. My shrimp scampi dish did have very large shrimp and ample pasta.. The sauce, I could not taste lemon or garlic, butter yes. I had to jazz it up. After all of the years we have gone there, they now have lost customer. They have gone very downhill. The waitress was great. read more

The atmosphere was beautiful. The clam chowder (ne) was delicious. The fish and chips were outstanding. The tartar sauce was okay, I expected homemade. My lobster roll however was dry and the bun on the ends was hard. I was disappointed. The lobster roll was the reason I chose to visit this establishment. read more

We attended this restaurant on October 8 . There were very few patrons. I ordered a seltzer water. It went from the bartender to the server. well, I thought they made a mistake because it was flat. I then ordered a diet Pepsi after bringing it to her attention. It was not carbonated at all. She dance with me a diet Pepsi, which is flat as well, so when she came by again, my husband and I brought it to her attention so I said I would like another diet Pepsi. I waited about 30 minutes and the diet Pepsi she served me was also flat. I don't understand how the bartender or the server cannot notice this. Also, we ordered our entrees so I ordered a soup and the baked scrod . So I was told by the server that I only had one side it used to be when you ordered an entrée super salad came with it and did not count as a side . How cheap the server did not apologize at all for the flat soda, water and two flat diet Pepsi's no worries we will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

What a gem! My order was the fish tacos. NOT breaded piecez, but real broiled fillets. Served w pico de gallo, and home made. Thick cut potato chips. Very delicious food and very subpar service. My mom and I went for a celebratory lunch after picking up my wedding gown. We were told there was a 2 hour limit to stay at the table due to decreased capacity from COVID. This was unfortunate because everything here seemed to be in slow motion. We ordered chowder and clam cakes as an appetizer and they took 45 minutes to come out. We saw a table next to us sit down after us and receive their hot appetizers with chowder almost immediately. The lobster roll also took a decent amount of time to come out after the appetizers . The food itself was very very good. I'm going to blame the interesting service on COVID (because we can blame everything on that these days.) I will definitely be back to try the food stand right next store: read more

We were in Newport for New Years. We travel around the area during the day. We popped in to Iggy's for a late lunch (or early dinner). My so and I shared 2 of their Margaritas which were delicious! I had their fried whole belly clam platter which included cole-slaw and choice of chowder or salad. I had the Red Clam chowder. My wife had a large bowl of Lobster Bisque which had plenty of Lobster meat. She also 2 Stuffies. For people not from New England these are very nice sized Clams with stuffing and herbs inside. She loved the cole slaw! read more

Do not think Iggys clam cake stand when you go here. Personally I'm not a fan of that establishment. The Boardwalk is a whole different concept. The waitstaff is excellent and the food scrumptious. I had a stuffie and it was the best I've had in forever! Moist and yummy! I haven't had anything that wasn't to my liking. Not super fancy, just a pretty cool place to hang. read more

Food was not as good as expected. The oysters were minuscule and not shucked well. The meatballs with the pasta appeared to have too much filler, they were light and fluffy not a solid hearty Italian style kinda meatball- and the sauce lacked flavor. I cook a better Italian spaghetti sauce and meatballs than this. The steak was cooked perfect, but the the price omgosh it was small. The shake with the gummies on the other hands was MAGNIFICENT, as were the caesar salad. They have an excellent location and it was nice sitting outside by the beach- but even though it was sun shining it was freezing out there, the staff looked as frozen as I felt. We won't make the effort to go back, it wasn't worth the drive we took to go there. read more

Food was average. The service was very good. This establishment offers free parking as well as a complimentary valet. I parked in Iggy's lot next to a closed/vacant building. As I walked to the restaurant, I also noticed that they offered complimentary valet parking. Good to know for the future. Upon leaving, however, someone had barricaded the lot just before the valet lot so that no one could exit unless they physically removed the obstruction. Fortunately, two very nice gentlemen were walking by and moved the posts so that several people and their cars could vacate the premises. This was a complimentary, self park lot, owned by Iggys, and this is what they do?! After my party of 6 spent just under $300 for dinner? Never again. read more

What a great great meal we had and even better service. 5 of us went for lunch. Erica was our waitress. She did very well. Each plate was very good. Each person cleaned the plate. Hats off to the chef. Thanks again guys. Great job. read more

I love their clam, cakes and chowder and their burgers. They're really good. I think they're open year round. I'm not sure.

This is a great place to come if you are visiting the area. We came on a Monday night and there was no wait and we were seated right away. We sat by the window with beautiful views of the water. However, the food was really mediocre and my dish of the baked scrod was inedible. Overcooked and over salted. I couldn't eat it, so sent it back. I mean it was awful. They charged me for part of the meal, so I was okay with that. My dining partners said their meal was okay but nothing spectacular. However our desert was fun and enjoyable - the Iggy's doughboy sundae. The doughboys taste like beignets with the caramel and chocolate! The young servers were hardworking and tried their best. So overall, I don't think I'll back for the food. read more

We went and although we had some trouble with the parking when we arrived, everything else after that was flawless. The handicap parking is just WAY TOO FAR for a handicap person to come to this restaurant. Nevertheless, we all had different appetizers, as I started with the creamy Clam Chowda for an appetizer. I followed that with the Hot Lobster roll as my friends had other seafood delights, all of which were good. They also discovered the Narragansett beer on tap and really enjoyed its taste. Now we know why this place has so many great reviews. read more

Excellent food and service. They do have tables outside, but the wait can be long for those. They always have coupons and a rewards program if you go often. Doughboys and chowder are great, but at the boardwalk the clams and the stuffies were particular favorites.
