Wonderful gastrointestinal with delicious local food and friendly staff. Never a bad meal!

Richardson's is an underrated restaurant located on Child street in Warren, RI. The food and service was good, but the restaurant was not busy what so ever. Obviously it has it's perks, like getting your food faster, but it is odd to see a restaurant on a Friday night only have 3 tables dining in and another couple of people at the bar. The food itself was good. The calamari had a slight spice to it, which made it unique. The fish tacos (appetizer) were very good, but small to share with others. The sausage burger was great! You could tell not only visibly but via taste that it was fresh and homemade. Lastly, the pasta was mediocre. Not the best I've ever had, but it definitely was good. After finishing our meal, I came to the conclusion that although the food at this restaurant may be good, the reason why it might not be busy could be due to the location and parking situation. Like I mentioned before, the restaurant is located on child street. There is no parking lot which requires customers to park elsewhere and walk to the restaurant. Although this is just a theory, it could be why the restaurant wasn't busy on a Friday night.

We were out looking for a place to eat in Warren and drove by this place, looked busy inside, but not overly crowded so seemed like we would find a place to be seated. Glad we chose to go in:) The ambience is very nice small restaurant with a very nice looking bar. Seems like a nice local place to hang out for a drink and the food was delicious. Choose one of their specials which was fish and chips my husband had another special chicken tacos we are both pleased! My fish was fresh with a very light batter and nice crispy French fries the side of radish was a nice touch! Husband he also enjoyed his chicken tacos! We will definitely go back again, great service, nice people and atmosphere, great experience!

Came here on a limb with my girlfriend. The burger did not disappoint. I will say I am more of a bacon slab kind of guy then bacon jam (recommend ordering both on their signature burger). Small little place that isn't too crowded for a Friday night. Tortilla chips were AMAZING. Fries looked amazing even though we decided to go a healthier route with a salad.

    Steak tips and chicken carbonara

We went to Richardson's on a random day due to their dinner special. 2 entrees and a bottle of wine for $40. I had the steak with creamy mash and the hubby had the carbonara. Although it's a limited menu, it's still definitely worth it. The bottle of wine was also nothing fancy, but it was a good Pinot Grigio. We would definitely go back and try other options on their menu.

    Calamari- yum !

We ordered the mini stuffies, the hummus plate, and the fried pickles. The mini stuffies were a highlight. Loaded with Mello's chouriço and packed with flavor, they're a solid little bite. My grandfather set the bar pretty high for me on stuffies, and these came close. They have a different profile than what I grew up with; a little less bready, more chouriço forward, and the clam flavor takes a back seat. Not necessarily a complaint, they were just different from what I'm used to and were genuinely tasty. The lemon aioli on top was also a nice touch. The fried pickles were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy, well fried, and the breading actually stayed put while you ate them, which is more than I can say for a lot of fried pickles. They came with the same lemon aioli as the stuffies, which worked just as well here. The hummus plate was a bit of a letdown. We've had it many times before and it used to be a standout. This time the hummus itself was thick and pretty flavorless, more like a dense chickpea paste than anything else. The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. The cocktail wasn't the problem, it just wasn't her style. One of our favorite spots in Warren for a quick nibble, for a good reason.

The restaurant is very clean. I've met the owner twice as he tries to get around the diningroom before you leave to make sure your experience was a good one & personally thank you. I feel that in itself makes a big difference in quality control & guaranteeing he is hearing his customers & perhaps can make changes before it becomes a business-changing problem. (Sometimes a few bad reviews spread like wildfire & changing rumors back to the truth can hurt the bottom line). There is a delightful waitress you'll be glad to have serve you if you are lucky enough to be seated at her table. "Grandma (name)?" is a very happy way to start your day. She knows the menu well & can make you smile on your worse days. The menu has plenty to choose from & the portions sizes..epic! Eggs Benedict is 3 egg size. Pancakes & French toast orders are enough for today & tomorrow without adding eggs or meat. But their prices are similar to other places lessor size plates. There is an ramp at the entrance for those with mobility issues. There are a couple of handicap spots too. I do not know if the restrooms are wheelchair friendly as I didn't check it out yet. Even on a packed Sunday morning, the kitchen was quick moving the food out.. the waitress was right on top of refills too. Definitely worth stopping in & giving it a try but bring your appetite. Eating like a bird, I think, is frowned upon.

Had cheese in it but not overdone on the cheese. My husband had biscuits and gravy. He's a tough critic on this dish and he said this one is at the top of the list compared to ones he's had at other restaurants. It came with eggs and homefries on the side. The marble rye he ordered on the side ,it was nice and thick and had a really nice chew to it. The service was wonderful. From the hostess to the server and the owners. It's evident that the owners care about the patrons experience as they stopped by to ask about our experience) Very calming and warm atmosphere. We started with a half order of nachos topped with the most flavorful pulled pork I've ever had. My wife and I literally couldn't stop eating. The fresh jalapeños added just the right kick, perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the barbecue sauce, and the house-made chips stayed crisp the whole time--no sogginess, just done right. Every detail was intentional, and you could taste it. Then came the dry rub chicken wings--perfectly cooked with a juicy center and a crisp exterior. The subtle honey sriracha flavor layered in beautifully without overpowering the chicken. To finish, we had the baby back ribs over coconut rice. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the rice was cooked perfectly with just the right hint of sweetness, and the shaved Brussels sprouts with pickled onions and jalapeños added the perfect crunch and contrast. I genuinely couldn't stop eating. The service matched the food. Our waitress guided us with spot-on recommendations, and I must have told her six times that this was the best meal I've ever had. By the time we left, we felt like we had just been welcomed into someone's home. I loved the atmosphere inside and out. I only wish I had the chance to meet the owner to say this in person--the attention to detail, the energy, and the care put into this place are undeniable.
