Stopped in for their burger and a beer Wednesday night deal on a date. The burger was cooked perfectly. Everything else was just so so. Also the bartender gave us a bill that wasn't our full order but rang up a totally different price which was correct for everything we ordered but wasn't what the actual bill had said. Once in a while, we go back to the old familiar places, that had been great in the past, to get really disappointed. Well, tonight was one of those nights. Truly bummed. My partner Lisa and had been here before - they were reliably good in the past. But may be COVID lock down changed things here, as with so many of our favorites. We got there at Richardson's and we were told that the kitchen was closing soon. No problems, we just have to choose what we want and enjoy the evening. We ordered a flatbread and Diver's scallop with fettuccini. Started with crostini with olives. Couple of pints of 'Gangsett to start us off. Unfortunately, that is where the excitement ended. Our great anticipation was dashed with overly burned flatbread, and tasteless scallops. I am uploading the photos, but don't let the photos fool you. While the pictures look great, the lack of flavor and lack of care in prep really disappointed us. So much so, that we may not come back! The burned flatbread - the bottom side was completely black. When I tasted it, I could "taste" the distinct flavor of "burn the bread to charcoal." Completely inedible. We complained about it, and the server took the tab off. Yes, as they should, because it was going straight to the trash bin. Unfortunately, what is not where the bad news stopped. The scallop pasta dish looked great - but with any great dish, I believe that there has to be a good balance to create wow factor for the eyes, the nose, and the tongue. This dish failed me on the nose and the tongue. Flavorless and chewy scallops, and gooey textured pasta - worst combination. It was not salted properly either. I had to add lots of salt and pepper to just to make it barely edible. The cream sauce was watery, like a bisque, with no discernible spices and aromatics like onion or garlic. When a dish costs $25, I would expect it to taste much better than what my teenage kids can cook in the kitchen. What was most upsetting to me, aside from the lack of flavor, is that when I mentioned this to the server, he simply game me a "shrug" gesture, did not say anything and just walked away. What? What a terrible service. Apparently he thought I was completely off base, or perhaps, he did not care, of he hears this from other guests all the time that he got desensitized. Who knows. With so many great restaurants in 02885 and nearby towns, this one can be written off from our list. read more

Had a great time at this great place last night! We were looking for a cute casual place in Warren & this was just perfect! There was a great girl singing she sounded amazing everyone was singing along. Drinks were so creative & just perfect ! We had spring rolls & fried ravioli for apps they were so good! For dinner we had fish tacos, lobster raviolis , smash burger & everything was amazing. Had placed an online order at 6:30pm and received a text message saying that it would be ready at 7pm. Arrived to pick up my order but it never went through the system (even though I received multiple text messages about my order and money was even taken out of my bank account) waited 15 mins to finally talk to the owner and not once did he apologize for the confusion. Only asked to see the money that was taken out of my account for proof, then looked at me and asked how I wanted my steak tips cooked and ran off to the kitchen never to be seen again. Waited another 20 mins for my food to be cooked and brought out to me by the hostess who was the only one that apologized. Steak was cooked well done even though I asked for medium. This was my second visit here. I did not enjoy my food on the first visit, but figured that could be an off night, so I waited to review until my second visit. My friends seem to love this place, so I gave it another try last week. I want to start by saying that they have a posting for a chef, so I may potentially go back since the people they were very nice and the drinks are very good. Our drink came out rather quickly, although our friend had to wait for his beer for quite some time. We are brussels sprouts and mussels for appetizers. The sprouts are pretty good but the mussels were really good. The bread they came with was very fresh in the sauce that they were in had such a great flavor. My friend ordered the burger, and he liked it. My other friend had a scallop and bacon pizza, and she also said it was good. My wife had the fish and chips and she said that the fish was lightly battered and very good and that the french fries are also good. I ordered the steak tips that came with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. When the steak tips came out, they were on top of the potatoes with about six pieces of spinach. The meat looked like it was grayish brown and overcooked. I ordered the steak tips medium rare and they were definitely overdone. I would've sent them back, but are we are seem to disappear around 745 and never came back. At that point the very nice bartender waited on us at our table and offered me some homemade steak sauce. The steak sauce was absolutely delicious and made the steak tips that I wasn't going to eat a little better. The mashed potatoes were just "okay". The drinks really were very good. We had spicy margaritas, espresso martinis and cosmos. The bartender was phenomenal and his service was great. I was really hoping for this visit to be different than my first. I really want this place to succeed, as it seem likes the owner is very nice and other people have had good meals there. Maybe once they hire a new chef, I'll visit again. read more

don't order any type of steak here, tips were gray and over cooked. sent them back and second attempt at the tips came back gray and inside purple (we asked for medium rare). Wings were over cooked, think they forgot about them in the fryer. Drinks were good. Wasted 100 bucks on two drinks, wings, steak frites, and steak tips. Terrible. Me and my friend went and we both look young but we are 18. The minute we walked in the worker asked us if we were here to use the bathroom. We both thought that was rude and inconsiderate as if younger people can't go to restaurants. We got sat down and it almost took 2 hours for our food and once we got the food it wasn't even good. Richardson's is an underrated restaurant located on Child street in Warren, RI. The food and service was good, but the restaurant was not busy what so ever. Obviously it has it's perks, like getting your food faster, but it is odd to see a restaurant on a Friday night only have 3 tables dining in and another couple of people at the bar. The food itself was good. The calamari had a slight spice to it, which made it unique. The fish tacos (appetizer) were very good, but small to share with others. The sausage burger was great! You could tell not only visibly but via taste that it was fresh and homemade. Lastly, the pasta was mediocre. Not the best I've ever had, but it definitely was good. After finishing our meal, I came to the conclusion that although the food at this restaurant may be good, the reason why it might not be busy could be due to the location and parking situation. Like I mentioned before, the restaurant is located on child street. There is no parking lot which requires customers to park elsewhere and walk to the restaurant. We were out looking for a place to eat in Warren and drove by this place, looked busy inside, but not overly crowded so seemed like we would find a place to be seated. Glad we chose to go in:) The ambience is very nice small restaurant with a very nice looking bar. Seems like a nice local place to hang out for a drink and the food was delicious. Choose one of their specials which was fish and chips my husband had another special chicken tacos we are both pleased! My fish was fresh with a very light batter and nice crispy French fries the side of radish was a nice touch! Husband he also enjoyed his chicken tacos! Everything I've ever had here is beyond delicious. This place is so good, staff is so friendly, 100% recommend!

We stopped in here the other night for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The bar is gorgeous and it's larger inside than it looks from the outside. They have a fun cocktail list and I sampled the watermelon basil martini and the cucumber martini. Thumbs up on both. I highly recommend the poutine as an appetizer. The meat is their pulled pork and it melts in your mouth. I got the bacon and blue cheese burger for dinner and my husband had the spicy brat. Thumbs up from both of us. I want to go back and try their Thursday night dinner for two for $40 special. read more

Came here on a limb with my girlfriend. The burger did not disappoint. I will say I am more of a bacon slab kind of guy then bacon jam (recommend ordering both on their signature burger). Came in for my first time on a Saturday afternoon just as they were opening... I started with a Peachie Bellini (a Prosecco and peach vodka cocktail) and really enjoyed that it was sweet but still refreshing...They have a large, beautiful, wood bar that is fully stocked with beers, wines and liquors. For food we started with the calamari app which was delicious - it wasn't greasy or doused in oil - which I really liked...it did have tentacles along with the usual rings but my dining partner gladly scooped them up for himself! The cherry peppers gave it a spicy zing while the fresh basil and lemon wedge made it a great balance of flavor. For the main course we had our minds set on getting the Dakota Steak and Frites since, we had already seen the reviews ad photos on Yelp!....When we were ordering the waitress let us know that this evenings' cut of steak was flank steak, not the Dakota cut shown on the menu. In all honesty, I likely would not have known the difference but my mate would have - and he really appreciated that this was brought to our attention, giving us an opportunity to choose something else if we wanted to. We both ended up ordering the steak anyway! Mine was ordered medium and his medium rare. They both came out cooked as ordered and even rested (nice touch). It came with a cilantro type sauce on the side as well as a compound butter across the top. The fries were house made and had just the right amounts of crunch and seasonings. I would gladly order this meal again but am also looking forward to returning and trying other menu items (pulled pork sliders, the house sausage sandwich or even the Child St. burger all sounded tempting!). Our waitress was super friendly as was the owner (who welcomed us into the restaurant several minutes before opening time with a smile!)We never had to ask for a refill of our sodas...I would say excellent service all around! We were welcomed at the door by the owner, and had a delightful meal in this charming addition to the Warren restaurant scene. Overall, the place reminded me of Cheers, in the sense that is feels like a true neighborhood hub, despite only recently opening. The bar and tables were full of friends and acquaintances- and the conviviality was infectious. I brought my two young daughters in and the staff made us feel right at home. The space is very roomy so you don't feel crammed into your table. The decor is classy and the restaurant's big windows allow for some nice people watching. I ordered the steak and frites with a Moscow mule. My steak was perfectly cooked per my request and a great cut, the frites were hand cut and seasoned well. The mule was served in a pint glass and tasty, but a could have used a little more ginger beer. My kids had chicken tenders and pasta and I can't rave enough - kids food that is kid friendly but made with heart and by hand. My wife had the Child Street burger which she loved. Although it's a limited menu, it's still definitely worth it. The bottle of wine was also nothing fancy, but it was a good Pinot Grigio. Richardson's recently opened so we decided to give it a shot. It genuinely FAR exceeded our expectations. Service: The service was unbelievably warm. Mike, the owner, greeted us at the door with a friendly welcome. The servers were very attentive and timely. Drinks: We tried the white sangria, the red sangria, and the ginger mule. All the drinks were delicious and refreshing. They were also reasonably priced. Food: We ordered the calamari to start. It was exceptionally fresh and well seasoned. We went on to try the pulled pork sandwich, the lamb burger, and the sausage sandwich. Everything was house made (including the sausage) and DELICIOUS! The best unexpected place to end up on a night with friends that was not planed. The drinks are super. Espresso martini & cucumber martini are a must have. Our group of 6 came for lunch on a Sunday. We ordered some apps, kids meals, and entrees. Everything was average, not amazing. Crab cakes ($12) - the smallest crab cakes anyone has ever seen. Not worth it. Calamari ($11) - it was just ok, nothing special. Portions were small. The calamari was sitting on tomato sauce and made it soggy, I would prefer sauce on the side. Kids meals - comes with soggy and oily fries. The tenders were good and the hot dog came in a sub roll cut into a hot dog roll. It got the job done, I guess. Pastas - the sauces were tasty (pink vodka and veal bolognese), but the pasta needed to cook for 2 more minutes. Way too chewy. Nantucket naan pizza ($14?) - white sauce pizza with a few pieces of scallops. Our server weirdly filled up all the empty soda glasses but not for water. If you are looking to have burger or pasta for a meal, you can give Richardson's a try. Anything else, I just can't recommend it. read more

This is a nice restaurant in Warren with a decent-sized menu (not too big, not too small) and an adequate drink menu. We really enjoyed the mussels appetizer, my steak frites were good, and my wife's hamburger was tasty. However, there were a few items that prevented this from being an "I'll be back soon" experience: 1. The place was COLD, they need to turn the heat up or figure out a way to keep the cold out when someone opens the main door. 2. Service was pretty bad. We initially had two servers who were discussing which one was taking our table(???), and the one who eventually "won out" was really slow and non-existent. Our drinks went empty for a while and we skipped dessert as even though the place wasn't full, we would go a good 10min at times before we would catch a glimpse of her. Really odd. 3. The mussels come in a delicious wine broth but you only get two little pieces of bread to sop up the goodness. :( Also, while my steak was cooked perfectly they seem to be afraid of using salt or any other type of spice, as without salt it was extremely bland. We're glad we went but it's not a place we'll clamor to revisit anytime soon. At least we went to Froyo World afterwards for dessert! read more

Visited Richardson's for the first time on Friday night. The Shrimp Pesto was incredible. My wife had the Carbonara. Normally she only eats half her meal and takes the rest home. Not on Friday. Such an amazing spot! My wife and I ended up going in here to try the place out. We left very full and amazed with the food drinks and staff. We first started out with the calamari and mussels which were out of this world. I personally tried the red sangria and some honey scotch iced tea drink that was amazing. For the entree we had the sausage sandwich which was absolutely great and finish the night with the southern bourbon pecan pie. Our waiter Joshua was very attentive and provided excellent service. Great little place! We had the pulled pork sandwich and house burger which were good and filling. The pulled pork was incredibly good and had a sweet bbq sauce topped with coleslaw and two pieces of thick cut bacon served with hand cut fries. It was a busy night so the wait for food was a little long but it was worth the wait. Our server was attentive and helpful and checked on us as he knew the kitchen was busy. Great music playing at the entrance as well. We will definitely be back during a mid week night as it was a bit loud and tough to hear each other speak but the restaurant had a great night I'm sure! First time dining here Josh was a excellent waiter. Very attentive and helpful with the menu.. My husband meal was very good. Portion was a little small for his liking. My meal was a special for the evening. I had the swordfish. I found it undercooked or on the fatty side . That's what I was told when I sent it back. Not a good taste when you take a bite . Everything else about the meal was very good. . I know this is relatively new so I would go back. It's a friendly local establishment. I think it would be nice to see more vegetarian meals. So we finally made it to Richardson's! We have been intrigued by this place since it's opening. We always like to try anything new that pops up locally. Other than trying to figure out the random hours of operation in the beginning, I guess it took us so long because we were holding out to see a comfortable crowd occupying the establishment. Maybe we were just driving by at the wrong times. But alas... it was time. Upon entering, the bar area feels inviting. We got the best booth in the house by the window. Music added to the atmosphere at a decent volume. Taking note of the internal aesthetics... All the fixtures, booths and tables look great. Light fixtures and tin ceiling tiles are on trend. The overall atmosphere could use a little boost to make it a bit warmer and more inviting. Even a simple small succulent or bud vase - or something funky to add a bit of flair to the table. The windows need to be cleaned and could use some type of window treatment that compliments the existing interior. It comes off a bit "bare bones" and I'm not sure that's by intention. The back corner section by the exit door should be partitioned off so people cannot see the extra chairs stacked in the back and the coffee machine. It's not sloppy but definitely takes away from the overall impression as it's a direct line of sight to the red EXIT sign and rough back door. Our Waitress was polite, efficient and attentive. She didn't give her name but, I never remember anyway! The bartender was also bringing drinks to some tables - he's got "beard cred." Seems like someone you'd want to sit at the bar with. One thing I was a little disappointed to see was that the menu that I saw in photographs online and on their website was not accurately represented in the restaurant. The items that were featured were basically the same but you can see that they have chopped down the menu buy 2 to 4 items in each section. The previous images folks had photographed on yelp were quite enticing but some of those were no longer offered on the menu. I get it though... Trial and error - you have to do what works. Drinks came in good time - I had a great cucumber Martini. Ice cold and perfectly balanced. Husband had a draught IPA and son had root beer on tap. Food was ready in less than 15 minutes. Pulled pork shepherds pie was a new twist and a gamble on my part. It was fantastic! If you can divorce yourself from BBQ pulled pork, this was nice tender shredded pork roast with corn and creamy mashed potatoes topped with bubbly cheese and a perfectly matched gravy. The spicy lamb burger was just that! Nice spice and ordered medium (could have ordered med-rare but we air on the side of caution on a first visit). Super juicy and put Aiden's lamb burger to shame. My son's Avocado BLT was exactly as it should be and both sandwiches were accompanied by nicely salted fresh fries. All in all this was a pleasant surprise. Many people in Bristol don't even know this place exists. The place was well-seated for a Saturday night at 6:30. They could certainly increase their patrons with a little marketing and establishing more of a presence. They could easily have a line out the door like Square Peg if they re-evaluated some things as the food, drink & service appear to be up to par. Would definitely revisit. Although my son didn't order from a kids menu, it's very family friendly. A good addition to what Warren continues to offer! read more

stopped in with the family and friends (a group of 8 with 4 kids) and welcomed like family and seated right away... great atmosphere and friendly staff. tried the specialty cocktails and sampled quite a bit of the menu (not overwhelmingly big, but several great choices)... kids enjoyed the bbq sandwich, and the steak and frites was perfectly cooked and seasoned... everyone enjoyed the appetizers and salads. seems like a great place to sit at the bar and enjoy the evening (only 3 beers currently on tap, but a good selection of bottled beer as well)... well worth the visit... and definitely looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu. read more

I requested a vegetarian grilled cheese as theirs comes with bacon so I asked to substitute it for tomatoes. I got a grilled cheese with pickles, tomato guts (they were sliced so thin I had mostly seeds), very little cheese on barely buttered bread. The waitress saw that I didn't touch the meal and neglected to ask if I liked it. We sat at the table for a while before being given our check. We weren't offered drink refills. My boyfriend said his fish and chips were okay. Poor service and a lousy meal I didn't touch. There's no reason to return. read more

First off, I suggest looking at the review by "Sarah O" who described both the lamb burger and pulled pork shepherds pie as I would. Two of us loved our pies, one liked the lamb burger but thought the Bolenaise looked better. Two loved that Boulenaise (Lord, I cant get this thing to correct my spelling) one liked the scallops but lusted after my Shepherds Pie. The child at the table had a grilled cheese and fries. We were all happy with our food, the waitress couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, the large table was perfectly situated for us with easy access to the bathroom and sufficient distance from other diners so our newborn and two year old probably didn't bother anyone. wine suggestions were limited but any time I can find a Pinot from Oregon I'm happy. Separate men's and women's rooms, (handicapped accessible) though I believe there's a step or two to get into the restaurant. The bar is beautiful and calls to me for a relaxing nightcap of IRISH .whiskey but for the early closing time. Actually the place has odd opening hours so check the web site before going. It would be a great lunch place but never open then. After my third visit I must say I really like the place. read more

Took my wife here for an anniversary dinner. The owner and staff were super friendly and catered to our every need. The bartender was made my wife the best glass of sangria she ever had. Well, it started with the waiter handling glassware by the rim. Not a fan of putting my mouth where others hands are. Just not appealing. Menu was ok, food was average at best. The place can be loud and it sure is cold. My wife ordered a drink that was ok. I just had a soft drink that is served on like a 10 oz glass full of ice so after 3 zips , it's gone and then you're waiting forever for a refill. I ordered the Pork Belly BLT. When the mussels came we had to ask for the said crustini and got hard pita triangles. In the BLT was 5 small pieces of the pork belly.
