Holy moly pizza deliciousness. This is the kind of pizza I would have weekly - it's that good. It might not be everyone's cup of tea - so if it's not, don't come and leave it all for me. Small lot parking and even smaller restaurant, there are a handful of tables both regular and bar height and a few bar seats. Very cozy and bright and service very friendly. It did take a bit longer than we were expecting for our food to come out. But that 24 hour fermented dough is out of this world - we had the pepperoni, hot honey ricotta pizza and it's hands down one of the best pies I've had - perfect chew on that crispy crust and all of the flavors worked well together. We also ordered the chicken parm and the smoked mozzarella and prosciutto. It would've been helpful if the smoked mozzarella and prosciutto stated on the menu it was a ravioli - the mister enjoyed it but ravioli isn't his first choice for pasta. As for me, my chicken parm was very good BUT I had to get the pizza marinara sauce as the sauce that comes with this dish is bolognese since I can't do red meat. They were very accommodating to give me that option but I don't think it's as flavorful as the mister said his bolognese had a much richer flavor. Drinks were good but strong! Truly, we did enjoy our meals and if for nothing else - I'd order pizzas over and over again from here. Don't sleep on this spot for pizza - it's pretty darn good! read more

What a great place. I love the decor. It has a nice seaside bistro theme. I had the bacon, ricotta pizza & it was phenomenal. My friend had the 'Hawaiian' and loved it. You can tell the dough and sauce were made from scratch. Always a good thing. The homemade white sangria was delicious. Pretty sure it was the owner who waited on us and he was delightful. This place is great and in my neighborhood. We've been there twice and we like it a lot. We've have had the chicken parmigiana with in house made pasta. I tried the chicken Alfredo and also had the pizza. The bacon ricotta and onion pizza was great. I added chicken and it was even better. They have Guinness in cans and wifey got white sangria. Not pretty busy as it's a hidden gem. We will definitely be back. read more

First off, BYOB! Love that! We got the cheese pizza and the bacon, ricotta, red onion pizza both regular size. It was amazing and we truly only needed one regular to split, at $12 and BYOB you can't beat it! Can't wait to come back! Just moved to the area and was pleasantly surprised to find this place (blink and you'll miss it). Definite hidden gem. Everything we've ordered here has been great. Inside is nice, very mediterranean and clean. The staff/owner? is always incredibly nice and accommodating and very friendly. I hope they get the traffic they deserve, everything on the menu is great. It's just too darn hidden when you drive by. read more

The boyfriend and I dined this evening at The Outsider! We enjoyed take-out pizza once before (perhaps a month ago or so) and tonight wanted a quiet dine-in experience, close to home, for some yummy food. First, let's talk the ambiance . . . it's STUNNING inside this small (approx. 16 seat) restaurant. It's cozy and inviting with beautiful plants and moody walls. It was a quiet night inside being the only diners, but we saw some others come in for their takeout while there and we hear that on other nights they get pretty packed with diners! We love seeing local small businesses thrive. We both ordered Specials this evening . . . I ordered the salmon dish and my other half ordered the sausage and pepper pizza. The salmon: It was a nicely sized filet (had trouble finishing it!) and it was literally cooked to the perfect temp. It flaked apart beautifully but was still super juicy inside. The owner/chef seems to have that down to a science. It was served with a lemon chrema on top that, at first, seemed too strongly flavored but after a bite or two I realized that it paired really well to cut the richness of the salmon. Along side it came crispy brussel sprouts (droool!!) and tiny roasted potatoes. It was a lovely meal, truly, and presented beautifully as well. --- And, btw, at only $21.00 - this was a quality meal at a great price point. You would pay anywhere from $26-$32 in Providence, easily. The pizza: My boyfriend enjoyed the pizza and, even though he ordered the smaller size, he still had some left to take home. Portions are really respectable here. Everything seemed fresh, the dough had a nice texture, and it was plentiful with it's toppings. For $17, this was a good bang for your buck. I do have some comments for the establishment that, I hope, they will accept along with my good intentions: - While "The Outsider" is BYOB, we're not big drinkers and would have liked to have seen some other beverage options aside from water and 3 flavors of Yacht Club soda. A seasonally flavored lemonade perhaps? An ice tea of some kind? - The chairs, while stylish looking, are not very comfortable (for us, anyway) . . . - We loved our food, but do hope to see an expanded menu at some point? The pizza is good, and there are grinder options as well, along with a few soups/salads and charcuterie . . . but truly, that salmon dish? Outstanding. Pizza and grinders will have us there every now and then . . . but give us more dishes like that (entree + 2 sides, that sorta thing - and not just as a Special) and we're likely to come back much more often when we want a really lovely quiet/quality dinner that's really close to home. --- Also, a couple of sweet options would be awesome, too. Even if it's just some quality scratch-baked chocolate chip cookies with a scoop of ice cream. :-) Thanks for reading! The pizza at this place is outstanding. Tried both the small and the large pizzas tonight. The small is a round classic style pizza, with a rich sauce and plenty of cheese. The large is a rectangular pizza with a bit thicker dough and the same delicious sauce. The chef obviously takes pride in his product, cooked perfectly. I hope everyone gives this small restaurant a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Great pizza. We loved the sauce and crust (grandma's recipe). They had a balanced but small menu. Plus a couple of daily specials. Nice family run restaurant. At the end of the strip of stores so I hope they get more traffic -- they deserve it. The quality was great and the portions were very generous for the price. Walk by The Outsider almost everyday and finally got around to trying it. My husband and I both agree that this is the best pizza we've had in a long time or maybe ever! We got the Bacon, Ricotta, and Red Onion as well as a Pepperoni pizza and both were phenomenal. The 24 hour fermented dough and garlic infused olive oil are absolutely incredible and I think part of what makes this pizza stand out! HIGHLY recommend!
