There aren't many salad bar options since Covid and this was a real treat to build a salad with all my favorite things. I made a southwest salad with corn, black beans, tomatoes, bacon, cotija cheese, barbecue chicken and avocado. We found a seat at one of the tables and shortly after, our sandwiches were served. The sandwiches were well assembled and pressed to perfection, toasting the bread without sacrificing its soft interior and warming the ingredients through. The Fancy Italy had finely shaved prosciutto, goat cheese, spinach and fig spread. The ham was sliced so thinly it was easy to bite through and chew. The balance of salty and sweet between the ham and the fig was divine, with the tangy goat cheese rounding out the sandwich to create something delicious. The grilled cheese was pretty straightforward but nothing special. An assortment of cheese I couldn't particularly identify melted together to make a fairly standard grilled cheese.
